Why the phone doesn’t see the SIM card - all possible ways to fix the problem + instructions

Various problems with a smartphone or tablet can result in the device not seeing the SIM card.

It is clear that under such conditions it is impossible to use it for its intended purpose - calls cannot be made, instant messengers, some applications cannot be used, or access to the Internet (except for using the Wi-Fi format).

In this material we will answer the question why the phone does not see the SIM card, and how to fix this problem.

Manifestation

How can you understand that the device is unable to read a SIM card? To check the functionality of the port, you need to install a card in it and reboot the phone.

This is necessary because some devices support hot card swapping (that is, when they are turned on), while others do not (that is, they are able to recognize and “see” a new card only after a reboot).

As soon as the reboot is complete, the phone tries to detect the SIM card and find the network. Some phones (mostly budget Asian models) need some time for this (no more than 2-3 minutes). At the same time, during this time the device can show a crossed out card icon and an “offline” notification, but after a maximum of 5 minutes the SIM card should be detected.

If after five minutes nothing has changed and the “offline” notification has not disappeared, then the device does not see the SIM card; the problem can occur on any device, both with and without hot-swappable support.

Moreover, in the first case, the network may not be detected only after a “hot” replacement, or only after a reboot.

In the case of dual-card devices, only one of the two ports may not work.

FAQ

Let us clarify some of the nuances of breakdowns not covered in the article.

The second SIM card is not detected

The device does not search for a SIM card due to:

  • Physical damage to the SIM card or holder (as a result of falling, shaking),
  • incorrect installation,
  • software glitch in the OS.

You can try moving the SIM to another slot to eliminate the problem with the card itself.

Sees the SIM card, but does not connect to the network

Several options are possible:

  1. The “expiration date of the SIM card” has expired - use for more than 7-9 years,
  2. the number was blocked by the operator (the cell tower rejects registration),
  3. problems with the card chip,
  4. presence of a virus in the system,
  5. There may be a mismatch of communication standards, for example, the device simply does not work at these frequencies. 4G potentially operates in all frequency ranges - 800, 900, 1800, 2100, 2600 MHz. LTE Band 38 (2600 TDD) Megafon and MTS only in Moscow. LTE Band 7 – (2600 MHz) is used only in cities. LTE Band 3 – (1800 MHz) the fastest Internet in rural areas. LTE Band 20 (800 MHz) – low speed, but the longest range.

No online registration

Does not register on the network - the number may have been blocked by the network operator or the phone cannot find the base station. Sometimes there are problems with the card chip. IMEI may be lost (viruses, firmware, crooked update).

Does not work - only emergency calls are possible

  1. There is a minus on the subscriber's account,
  2. if the sticks periodically disappear, the device is out of range of its network,
  3. Airplane mode is on.

After the firmware

Sometimes malfunctions occur after the flashing process. This happens in a number of cases:

  1. The user has stopped or interrupted the system update process. The firmware was not completed correctly.
  2. The internal memory was not formatted correctly.
  3. Formatting a gadget using the “SP Flash Tool” means using the wrong version of the program.

To correct the situation, you will need to reflash the device with a new one, and also install a bootloader patch. In extreme cases, it is worth doing the Hard Reset procedure.

What types of SIM cards are there?

By 2021, it is common practice to use SIM cards of 4 standards in the world:

  • Full size (1FF);
  • Mini-SIM (2FF);
  • Micro-SIM (3FF);
  • Nano-SIM (4FF).

These are physical cards that are inserted into a smartphone. The most modern programmed numbers (without physical media): eSIM. This is a special chip on the motherboard that is customizable with a QR code and is responsible for communication.

Is it possible to make a dual-SIM phone with your own hands?

Such options are also available (even for iPhones). You can find similar solutions on the market:

  1. DualSim Adapter. A special adapter in the form of one large SIM card into which two cut out chips are inserted.
  2. Hacking SIM protection. Card cloning method. The simplest, but at the same time dangerous way. Suitable for technically trained owners.
  3. Special adapter or adapter cover. You will have to buy a special cover or adapter into which the SIM card can be installed without cutting.

It is worth considering that such dual-SIM devices only work with one of the cards. They will have to be switched between each other manually. All manipulations with non-original trays and adapters automatically remove the warranty from the gadget.

How to make the phone ask which SIM card to call from

By default, Android gives priority to one of the SIM cards. For the system to start asking the user where to make a call, you need to go to: “settings” -> “SIM cards and mobile networks” -> “default settings”. Here you can clarify in what order the dialing will take place.

Is it possible to use one SIM card for two cell phones?

This is physically impossible, since the SIM card is tied to one device (online to IMEI). Possible options:

  1. Setting up call forwarding. This is done through the telecom operator.
  2. Setting a single tariff for two SIM cards. Single balance for two numbers. Some telecom operators offer a similar solution. But these will be two different phone numbers.
  3. You can make a clone of the card for alternate use (for simultaneous use of a Sim card in different cell phones, the number will be banned), but this will require not only special software, but also equipment.

Reasons and solution

This problem can occur for a number of reasons. But all of them can be divided into two large categories:

  • Related to the SIM card itself, that is, its inoperability (or inoperability in a given device);
  • Related to the device (smartphone or tablet).

In this case, problems of the second category can also be divided into two groups.

Hardware failures are associated with the physical inoperability of the port itself (for example, when the contacts on it are oxidized or filled with liquid).

Software problems are due to the fact that the device software is not designed to work with a certain type of SIM card.

<Fig. 2 Breakdown>

To start

There are several simple faults, we recommend starting with them. Most often, breakdowns are associated with software settings.

Reboot the device

It happens that a malfunction occurs in the operating system. To correct errors, you need to reboot the device. This can be done from Android, using standard methods, or forcefully, in the system recovery menu.

The adapter pushes out the contact pad

If the SIM card is inserted through a plastic adapter, for example into an old push-button device, the adapter may have pushed the contact pad upwards. Because of this, contact disappears and sometimes disappears - remove and correct the position of the SIM card (video below).

Is your SIM card activated?

The very first thing is whether you have passed SIM registration or not. Modern telecom operators make it so that the user simply inserts a SIM card into the phone and starts using it. However, some companies require manual “forced” activation through the application. For example, the Yota operator.

Enabling or disabling airplane mode

Another way to check is to activate and disable airplane mode. In this case, pay attention to the signal level indicator. If it flickers, try replacing the SIM card and checking the slot for mechanical damage or contamination.

Reinstalling the SIM card

The SIM card may simply fit into the tray incorrectly. Or the user will not pay attention and will place the card in the wrong place (the cut-off triangle at the top of the plastic). As a result, the SIM will not be read. The problem is especially relevant for small cards (nano and micro).

New phone requires activation

Some smartphones enter active mode only after the registration or activation procedure. The user is authenticated, after which the device begins to fully detect the SIM card.

The device is locked to a specific operator

When buying a mobile phone abroad, you may encounter problems with blocking for a specific mobile operator. iPhones are often guilty of this, for example in the USA they often sell devices locked to AT&T and others. This is difficult to solve:

  1. Sometimes re-stitching helps (extremely rarely),
  2. More often, paid unlocking using IMEI saves the day, but these are topics for a separate large article.

Update Android or iOS to the latest version

The operating system may simply not see the card due to “old” or incorrect settings. Connect your device to the Internet and update the system to the latest version. In Android, this is done through “settings”, the “about phone” item, “system update”. On iOS, look at the current version of the OS in “settings” -> “general” -> “about this device”.

Checking for viruses

Sometimes viruses block the operation of the operating system or block access to communications. This is how they protect themselves. You should try scanning your phone with built-in security programs. It is also worth downloading free scanning applications from the Play Market. For example, Dr.Web Light or AVG Anti-Virus, more details on how to clean rootkits here.

You'll have to use a soldering iron

Device problems

This category lists problems and malfunctions of the port itself.

Sometimes you can fix them yourself, others require service repairs or complete replacement of this component.

To determine the presence of a SIM card in the phone, several hardware components are used - a SIM connector, the port itself, and contact pads. Failure of any of these components leads to malfunction. This means that the reasons on the part of the device can be very diverse.

<Fig. 3 Repair>

Reasons why activation does not occur

Are you doing everything right, but nothing is happening? Let's figure out why the Beeline SIM card is not activated.

  1. The problem may lie in a faulty SIM, perhaps it has been damaged. In this case, you need to replace it at the operator’s office.
  2. To rule out the first option, check the operation of the SIM by inserting it into another device. If everything works successfully, then the problem lies in the device.

If you have any questions or difficulties, you can always contact the support service by calling 8 800 700 8000. Operators will definitely help you troubleshoot and set up work.

And here you will find your voicemail number and learn how to connect it.

Operator lock

The main hardware problem that your device may have is its firmware for a specific operator.

Most often, this is typical for mobile devices ordered from abroad and not intended for sale on the Russian market.

This happens because for residents of the country of production, the device is supplied immediately “as a set” with a very favorable tariff from one or another operator (often, even the final price of the device depends on this).

Previously, this problem occurred on most iPhones that were not accredited by Rostest and were not certified for sale in the Russian Federation.

Now a similar difficulty is encountered in some Asian and European phones.

This problem almost always occurs when the device costs 2-3 times less.

“Unlocking” the phone and reflashing it must be carried out by specialists, which also costs money, so the savings in this case are questionable. In addition, the outcome of the procedure is not always satisfactory - it depends on the individual characteristics of the blocking and the device itself. In some cases, unlocking is simply impossible; in others, the procedure completely destroys all original software.

<Fig. 4 Locked iPhone>

Main reasons

What are the reasons why such a previously reliable smartphone or phone suddenly “fails” due to a SIM card? The main ones are:

  • the card has expired;
  • deformation or other damage to the microcircuit has occurred;
  • The card was blocked by the operator due to a long absence of payment.

If at least one of the mentioned situations occurs, it is recommended to contact the call center by calling 0611.

There are known cases when refusals occurred during visits to foreign countries. The reason for this is most likely that the settings of the mobile device prohibit roaming in order to save money. To eliminate this inconvenience, you need to remove the ban or connect to another tariff.

When traveling and using mobile communications outside of their region, the cost of services may also increase, so a fairly large number of clients set restrictions to reduce costs. To restore communication opportunities, such restrictions must be lifted.

If a customer bought a new SIM card and it does not work, then the reason for this may be that it has not been registered on the network. Most often this happens due to the fact that the operator cannot identify the IMEI of the device for various reasons. This problem primarily affects devices with two SIM cards.

If you receive a notification that there is no mobile network, you can assume that the card slot is dirty or it is installed incorrectly. To fix the problem, simply reinstall the card by removing it from the slot and checking that it is installed correctly. If you receive a negative result, you should check the operation of the card on another device.

OS problems

SIM connector software failure is a common problem that occurs from time to time on all phones.

This situation can be recognized by a number of indirect signs:

  • Have you recently reflashed your phone?
  • You recently installed software (not necessarily pirated - official programs sometimes also cause such a failure), the operation of which requires establishing a contact with the memory card;
  • Have you recently installed updates (especially if it was done over Wi-Fi).

All these actions can cause failures if the operating system, its components, updates or programs are not installed correctly.

Most often you can solve the problem yourself.

Do a few things:

  • Turn off the phone, remove the SIM card, insert it again and start;
  • Uninstall the last installed applications, and then “cold” reinstall the SIM card (with the device turned off);
  • Restore to factory settings.

If none of this helps, you can try to reflash the phone.

If this does not help, it is recommended to contact a service center.

Important! As in the case of blocking the device “for the operator,” this phenomenon cannot be the reason for the disruption of only one slot on a two-card phone. If operator locking or any other problems with the software occur on a two-card device, then the card cannot be seen by any of the slots.

<Fig. 5 OS>

The problem is in the phone

In some cases, the culprit for the lack of network is the device itself. You can fix such breakdowns yourself, or use the services of specialized service centers.

Smartphone in airplane mode

If the phone has lost the network and does not respond to any requests or calls, it is possible that the user has switched it to “airplane mode”. Airplane mode limits communication functions - it disables not only voice and text messages, but also data transfer.

Airplane mode (airplane mode) is indicated by an airplane icon next to the network indicator. To disable it, you need to go to the sound profile settings, or hold down the lock key until the “shutdown and reboot” menu appears.

Incorrect settings

In rare cases, network settings are simply not downloaded to the smartphone and network settings are installed. They do not arrive from the operator (automatically via SMS) or get lost while the device is operating. In this case, you can do it in two ways:

  1. Turn off your mobile phone and take out your SIM card. Put it back and restart the device.
  2. Set the settings manually in: “settings” -> “SIM cards and mobile networks” -> SIM card settings block. In it you need to tap on the problematic SIM and enter the network parameters. All current settings can be found on the network operator’s website or by calling the hotline.

In the most difficult situations, it is worth trying to reset to factory settings.

Method 1 (via physical buttons):

Method 2 (via menu):

The phone is locked to a specific operator

This practice is often found in Europe or the West. Users often order supported devices from abroad, but cannot use them in their own country. This means that the device is blocked only for a certain network operator. And it, as a rule, is not present in this region. For Android you will have to look for custom firmware, and for iOS you will have to jailbreak or unlock using IMEI (for a fee).

Damaged SIM card slot

It’s worth making a reservation right away. In this context, we are considering the card holder. In other words, a SIM tray or carriage that is placed inside the device. There are several reasons for slot failure:

  1. Gadget falling from a height. There is a physical disruption of the mechanism. The slot may crack, bend, or break.
  2. Accumulation of dust or debris. The carriage does not fully fit into the socket because it rests on the dirt.
  3. Ingress of sticky media. Alcoholic drinks, sweet tea - all this can create a barrier to normal installation in the tray.

In all of the above cases, conduct a visual inspection of the slot and the hole into which it is inserted. If possible, make an inspection: clean the holder and the hole under it. If the tray is broken, it’s easier to buy a new one, or order it on AliExpress.

Holder is faulty

The spring-loaded contact group inside the smartphone is the holder (SIM connector). The most common breakdowns of this unit:

  1. Broken soldering of the SIM connector on the motherboard. This can happen after the phone is dropped, or if the tray is installed incorrectly or roughly.
  2. Failure of the contact group. These are special “antennae” that conduct the signal from the SIM.
  3. Oxidation of connectors. The appearance of rust and other plaque.

In any case, it is better to fix such a breakdown in a service center, and not to carry out independent repairs. Especially if you don’t have a soldering station with an adjustable temperature pad.

System glitches, viruses, ransomware, old software

Very often the cause of the malfunction lies in operating system failures, or due to the operation of malware. We advise you to carry out preventive maintenance on the device:

  1. Reboot the device.
  2. Update the operating system to the latest version.
  3. Download several free antiviruses and check your system for malware.

After downloading antivirus software, you can temporarily disable access to the network. So that a virus or Trojan cannot download updates from the Internet.

IMEI has disappeared

There is a device identification number (IMEI) on every smartphone; this is an international requirement; the code is “sewn” into the hardware of the device. When registering, making a call, or accessing the Internet, the phone regularly sends its IMEI to the base station. If “Have” is empty or is written “out of the blue”, the response is not correct, authorization with the provider does not pass. When searching for a Wi-Fi network, the error NVRAM WARNING: Err = 0x10 may appear. To fix such a malfunction, you will need to restore the original identification number.

Causes of problems with IMEI:

  1. Installing custom firmware. Sometimes a breakdown occurs even after the official version of the software has been rolled out.
  2. Downloading unverified APKs and subsequent installation as a superuser (active root rights).
  3. Updating the curved version of the official firmware when the installation takes place automatically “over the air”.

Further steps to restore IMEI are listed as recommendations. We remind you that the user acts at his own risk and is aware of the consequences of incorrect actions.

Repair IMEI using SP Flash Tool

SP Flash Tool is a PC program that allows you to flash a device based on MTK chipsets from a computer (Windows or Linux). It is better to download the official version from the official 4PDA forum thread.

Process of working in SP Flash Tool:

  1. In the program itself, specify the path in the saved Scatter file. Then press “CTRL+ALT+V”.
  2. At the top of the program, select “Window” –> “Write Memory”. Go to the “Write Memory” tab.
  3. In the “File Path” field, specify the path to the desired NVRAM via the folder icon.
  4. In the “Region” drop-down menu, select the line EMMC_USER (for MT6592 and higher).
  5. Open your own Scatter file in a text editor, then copy linear_start_addr into the Begin Address (HEX) line.
  6. Confirm the action using the “Write Memory” button.

After completing the editing process in SP Flash Tool, connect the turned off smartphone via a USB cable. You need to charge it at least 50% in advance, and also download drivers for your OS version. Devices with the MT67xx chip are edited in the same way, only they work with an NVDATA backup.

Recovery via the engineering menu

This is an easier way to restore IMEI, since it does not require installation of root rights. All manipulations are performed from the smartphone itself.

Step-by-step instruction:

  1. In the dialing menu, enter the numeric command: *#*#3646633#*#*. In some devices the combination looks different.
  2. In the menu that appears, open the “Connectivity” tab. Next, go to “CDC Information” -> “Radio Information”.
  3. Two items will appear in the new menu: Phone1 and Phone2. Enter the first one.
  4. Find the line "AT+". Place the cursor immediately after the + sign, press the spacebar once, and enter the command EGMR=1,7,"identification number". You must indicate IMEI in quotes.
  5. Then click “Send a command”. If everything is done correctly, the system will display the message “Ok”.

In this way, the identification number is set manually. Its exact combination of numbers can be seen on the device box, or under the battery cover if the smartphone is disassembled into parts.

Slot clogged

If debris gets into the card slot, the contacts are not in full contact with the card contacts, and therefore no connection occurs.

Clogging can occur:

  • When using the phone for a long time, dust gets inside it (and the case is only slightly able to delay the onset of this problem);
  • Even if the device falls once into the sand or onto the ground;
  • With frequent rearrangement of SIM cards;
  • When you frequently open the phone's cover, with open slots at the back of the device.

In principle, you can try to fix this problem yourself.

To do this, it is enough to thoroughly blow out the slot with a hairdryer with cold air (you cannot heat the device), but it is important to do this in such a way that dust does not get into other parts of the device.

After which the contacts can be wiped with a non-woven material wound on a needle and soaked in alcohol.

<Fig. 6 Slot>

Tablet

The command to activate a Beeline SIM card on tablets is the same as the combination for a phone.

  • On the numeric keypad enter *101*1111# ;
  • If successful, you will receive a message indicating that the card has been registered.

This feature is available for devices with a call function. If it is missing, you need to do the following:

  • Call support at the phone number listed above and follow the operator's instructions;
  • Log in to your personal account, if registered. Find the PIN and PUK code registration section, enter the data - this will help you connect to the operator;
  • The following instructions work for owners of Apple devices: open the settings, enter the “Cellular data” folder “Cellular data settings”, then go to the “SIM programs” tab - “My Beeline”. Select activation from the list of services.

To check a successful connection, log into your browser and open any page. Either you will be able to access the Internet immediately, or you will need to follow additional steps indicated on the screen. Next, we’ll look at how to activate a Beeline number on a modem.

Physical damage to the slot

Damage to the card slot is a more serious problem, and it will most likely not be possible to fix it yourself using available means.

It occurs if:

  • The phone was dropped, thrown, subjected to pressure;
  • The SIM card was often rearranged, and this was done quickly and inaccurately;
  • The slot itself was subject to pressure, for example, when removing the cover of the device or when removing the battery.

Even if you know the exact cause of the slot damage, you are still unlikely to be able to fix the problem yourself. It is better to contact a service center for this, since only a specialist can determine the nature of the damage and the most optimal way to eliminate it. In some situations, only minor repairs can be made, while in others, a complete slot replacement is required.

<Fig. 7 Damage>

What are the reasons for blocking?

If we are talking about emergency shutdown, then this method is most often used to protect your personal data and save finances if you lose your SIM card. This is especially true for owners of modern smartphones. The latter usually have email and payment applications installed, as well as services for managing personal data.

Emergency shutdown occurs by Beeline employees upon application (oral or written) from the owner of the number. Scheduled deactivation is performed in the same way. It can be of two types:

  • temporary, if the subscriber plans to interrupt the use of the SIM card for a certain period;
  • permanent (forever), if the client does not want to continue cooperation with the company.

We wrote above what to do if your Beeline SIM card is blocked. To activate it, you can use any of the described methods. Read about how to get a nano sim in another article.

Watch the video instructions on how to unlock a Beeline SIM card yourself, if the need suddenly arises.

Damage to the card holder

What is a card holder? Strictly speaking, this is a functional part of the SIM card slot, which is available only on those phones in which the slot is hidden under the back cover and/or battery, but not in those in which the slot “extends” from the side.

That is, technically, with this type of slot the card holder also exists, but it is located in the device body, not visible to the user, and it is very difficult to damage it unintentionally even if the device is dropped.

The card holder is the metal frame above the contact pad, the frame into which you directly insert the card.

Depending on the model, it may flip up and slam shut once the card is inserted, or you may be able to “slide” the card directly into the card holder while the card holder itself remains static.

What functions does this device perform?

  • Ensures that the plastic card is held in place;
  • Presses it, ensuring the tightest possible contact between the contact pads of the slot and the card (which is especially important if a smaller format card is installed in a slot for a larger one).

Accordingly, damage to the holder prevents the normal fastening of the SIM card.

It may not be inserted at all or remain movable inside the frame. But the most common occurrence is the provision of insufficiently complete contact between the relevant sites.

The device can be damaged by falling, careless opening, or removing the card.

Most often, breakdowns are obvious - the device is quite fragile and can be easily broken off or bent when opening.

In this case, you can try to straighten it yourself.

However, more often the problems are more complex, for example, loosening of the sash holders (in models where it tilts up).

It is impossible to fix such a problem yourself without special equipment, so it is recommended to contact a service center.

Repair services for this part of the device are in most cases not too expensive. It almost never requires complete replacement.

<Fig. 8 Cardholder>

Note

Regarding termination of the service contract in the event of a long period of inactivity, you can also submit a corresponding request to the nearest operator service office. If your old number was not activated by another client, you can restore it. Otherwise, a re-conclusion of the agreement with the issuance of new contacts will be required.

It is recommended to periodically check your personal account balance, top it up and perform USSD requests. This way you guarantee the safety of the number for future use.

Oxidation of contacts

The problem is quite serious. With it, the contact pads of the slot are subject to oxidation.

In this case, the visual severity of the phenomenon cannot be a diagnostic sign.

Sometimes visually strong oxidation (darkening) does not interfere with operation, while sometimes almost no external changes are noticeable, but the slot does not work.

Oxidation can occur for a variety of reasons:

  • Flooding or getting wet (even use in the bathroom or in the rain, in a humid environment);
  • Excessive heating, overheating of the device;
  • Problems with the device's battery;
  • Sometimes oxidation occurs on old phones over time, since their service life has long expired.

To determine the presence of oxidation, inspect the contacts if possible.

Usually, a slight darkening is noticeable on them, but such a “symptom” may be absent. You can try to eliminate oxidation yourself.

To do this, soak a non-woven material in alcohol, wrap it around the needle and gently wipe the contacts.

Let them dry, insert the SIM card and try to start the phone. Sometimes this repair method is quite effective.

In some cases, oxidation turns into corrosion. You will not be able to fix the problem yourself, since it requires replacing the entire slot. This is an expensive procedure performed by professionals.

<Fig. 9 Oxidation>

What to do if the phone no longer sees and detects the SIM card - all ways to solve the problem

It often happens that the smartphone works, sees the flash drive, but does not see the SIM card. There are many reasons for this malfunction. From a banal blockage to a broken slot. Let's take a closer look below.

First, you need to check the SIM card on another mobile device. If it doesn’t work on another smartphone, it means the SIM card is blocked or has become unusable.

If the SIM card works on another smartphone, then it’s all about your device. You should reboot it and blow out the contacts. Or look in the settings. Airplane mode may be active. If none of this helps, then you need to take your mobile device to a service center.

It is worth noting that all our recommendations are also relevant in cases where the modem does not see the SIM card and are suitable for any operators - Tele2, Beeline, Megafon, MTS.

First of all, you need to check whether the SIM card is enabled . Since in some models it may be disabled by default. This most often happens in dual-SIM devices.

To do this, you need to go to the settings of your smartphone. Find the “ Sim Card Management ” function. Then find the disabled SIM card and turn it on.

If it turns out that you turned on the SIM card, but the phone does not see it, then look at the upper right corner of the screen. If you see an image of an airplane , it means that you have airplane mode turned on. In order to disable it, you need to go to “phone settings” - “advanced” - “airplane mode”. Disable it.

The smartphone may not see the SIM card if the update is incorrect. In order to resolve this issue, you need to reset your mobile device back to factory settings. Before performing a reset, be sure to save a backup copy of your data on a flash card.

When purchased, some smartphones are flashed specifically for only one operator. For example, in a smartphone locked to Beeline, SIM cards from MTS, Tele2, Megafon and other operators will not work. That is, SIM cards from another operator will not be compatible with this device. It is often quite difficult to correct such an error. To do this, you will have to reflash the gadget and at the same time lose the warranty.

It's another matter if the card reader is damaged. The user himself will not be able to fix the problem. Therefore, it is best to contact a service center if simply cleaning the contacts with a damp cloth does not help. You can also try to insert the card correctly. It happens that many users ignore the instructions and insert the SIM card into the slot incorrectly.

An Android smartphone may not see the SIM card if the software is damaged. In this case, it is recommended to reset your phone to factory settings . Or reflash the smartphone again. If this does not help, then contact the service. center.

If after flashing the phone does not see the SIM card, then you need to reflash the device via a computer or install a communication patch via TWRP Recovery.

In addition to the fact that the phone does not see the SIM card, it can take a long time to boot after turning on, which is why the card is not detected. It is recommended to check it for viruses and remove all applications that you do not use. Clean Android with any specialized program.

IMEI glitches Without the IMEI code, the smartphone will not be able to read the SIM card. This happens when data about him is erased from the phone. There are two ways to restore from. The first is using the engineering menu .

Select the “About phone” item. Next, go to general information about it.

Select the IMEI code data and enter the information there. The code can usually be found on the back of the smartphone.

You can also restore IMEI using the flashtools program on your computer. To do this, install the utility on your computer and drivers for your phone. Then do the following.

If everything is fine with the firmware, then there may be problems with the card itself. It may expire or be blocked. To do this, you need to contact the operator and solve this problem.

It is possible that the SIM card needs activation. To do this, you need to call a short service number. Once the card is activated, the owner can start using it.

  • For Beeline – 0611 – 1 – 0, from the city – 8 800 550 05 00.
  • For MTS – 0890, from the city – 8 800 550 05 00.
  • For Megafon - 611, from landline - 8 800 550 05 00.

It happens that the user cut the SIM card incorrectly . To solve this problem, it is better to use the services of a specialist in this field.

If you remove a non-working card and find minor physical damage , scratches or failures in gold plating, then it is better to replace it.

If the phone sees the SIM card, but does not see the network, then the problem is either a damaged antenna or a faulty radio module. In both cases, it is better to take the smartphone to a service bureau.

It is recommended to install TWRP . This utility is suitable for reviving a dead phone, and will also allow you to reflash or restore the phone's functionality.

It is recommended to perform a Hard Reset or try installing a different SIM card. If none of these solutions help solve the problem, contact your service center.

To solve these problems, download the iTunes program. Then it is installed and the user registers in it. Using it, you can restore your device. The utility contains a special function for recovery.

Broken card reader

The card reader is otherwise called a SIM connector. This is a technically complex device that actually transmits the signal from the slot contact pads to the device processor.

That is, in fact, it depends on it whether your device sees the SIM card or not.

The connector circuit consists of many elements - capacitors, varistors, resistors, etc.

And a breakdown in any of these components leads to the slot stopping working.

And it is quite easy to damage any part of it - just a fall, moisture, dust, overheating, etc.

It is impossible for the average user to determine this phenomenon visually, and the service requires lengthy diagnostics to understand which section of the circuit is damaged. Repairing a chain can usually be quite complicated and expensive, which is why technicians often suggest replacing the connector completely. This is also not cheap, but there is no other solution - it is impossible to repair the device yourself.

Troubleshooting

To restore the functionality of the Beeline card on your phone, you should take the following steps:

  • check that the network settings are correct;
  • clean the slot contacts;
  • roll back the device to its factory state;
  • disable operator lock.

If the actions do not bring results, and the user is sure that the problem of lack of communication is not related to a defect in the smartphone or incorrect parameters, then the card needs to be changed.

Replacing a SIM card

To replace a broken SIM card, you need to contact any branch of the mobile phone store and provide:

  • application for reinstatement (filled out on site);
  • a document identifying the applicant or a notarized power of attorney to represent interests.

In your home region, replacement is free. When traveling within the Russian Federation, the service will cost 30 rubles. When replacing a 3G card with a 4G-enabled SIM card, the service will cost 30 rubles. regardless of region. The paid funds will be returned to the subscriber’s personal account one day after the replacement.

If the problem arose due to card blocking or non-payment for communication services, then the subscriber needs to contact technical support to restore functionality. It can be done:

  • in any office of the company;
  • in your Beeline personal account on the Internet portal or mobile application;
  • by phone (passport series and number will be required for personal identification).

If setting the network parameters does not solve the problem, then software recovery, IMEI or device repair is required. In case of software errors and hardware defects, please contact the service.

It is not recommended to do software installation and repairs yourself. Before you do anything, you need to understand that any intervention will void the warranty period and may completely break the device.

If a mobile device is found to be inoperable, it is necessary to carry out simple test procedures that are likely to give a positive result. First of all, the following is checked:

  • disabling the “Airplane” and “Standalone” modes;
  • selection and configuration of a mobile network;
  • operability of the SIM card on another device;
  • integrity of the slot and the SIM card itself.

It is highly undesirable to carry out independent actions (for example, flashing or completely resetting the settings), since this can damage the device. If you encounter any difficulties in use, it is best to contact the support service, where they will definitely help you troubleshoot the problem or suggest a way to solve the problem.

Damage to contacts

Another unfavorable phenomenon that requires slot replacement is mechanical damage to the contact pad.

This can happen when grains of sand or grains of earth get into the phone, or when you try to remove the card more easily using foreign objects.

Theoretically, you can even damage the contact with your fingernail when folding the card holder.

The damage may or may not be visually noticeable, such as a scratch or deformation. Eliminating the phenomenon is difficult, and often requires replacing the slot (in rare cases, a damaged contact).

<Fig. 11 Contact damage>

Damaged SIM card contacts

The SIM card has contacts:

  • Vcc – power supply;
  • Reset – control;
  • Cloc – clock frequency;
  • Vpp – for recording information;
  • I/O – input/output;
  • General (“ground”).

Damage to any contact results in failure. You will have to apply for a new SIM card.

The SIM card is slightly dirty

If there is contamination, use the following cleaning methods:

  • eraser - gently rub the SIM card contacts with a regular eraser;
  • alcohol - wipe the SIM card on all sides with a slightly moistened cotton pad.

It is strictly forbidden to wash in water with or without cleaning agents. If cleaning does not produce results, replace the SIM card with a new one.

Any problem with the SIM card can be solved by replacing it with a new one. To do this, you need to contact your operator’s office and take your passport with you.

Soldering failure

Failure to solder the card holder contacts is typical for phones with a retractable slot.

The cause of soldering failure may be a fall, moisture, compression, or careless removal/insertion of the SIM card.

The problem is solved in the service by soldering the contact pins of the card holder - the procedure is not too complicated or expensive.

<Fig. 12 Soldering failure>

After flashing the phone does not see the SIM card

The problem in the firmware is immediately visible; in addition to the smartphone’s refusal to detect the SIM card, some functions stop working.

There are two solutions - returning to the restore point or replacing the firmware. You can do it yourself by connecting the gadget to your computer via a USB cable and downloading licensed software from the official website, or contact an ASC (authorized service center).

Invalid IMEI

After checking the IMEI, you realized that it is worn out or does not match. How to recover? Open the service menu using the code (for all operating systems):

  • dial the combination as a number and press the “call” key;
  • go to “CDS Information – Radio Information – Phone1”;
  • at the top under the AT+ item, enter in the field EGMR=1.7 “enter the correct IMEI” – for the first SIM card or EGMR=1.10 “enter the correct IMEI” – for the second;
  • press the “SEND AT COMMAND” button and the new settings will take effect;
  • restart your smartphone.

You can fix it using the Chamelephon application if you have ROOT rights. You can always contact the service center to resolve the issue.

Deformation of SIM holder contacts

Deformation of the card holder contacts is not externally noticeable (unlike the deformation of the card holder itself).

The causes of deformation are the same: careless operation, pressure on the slot, falling of the device or a blow to it.

The problem can also occur when you try to install a nano format card into a micro format connector, and when you try to “hot” swap a SIM card on a phone that does not support this function.

The problem is also solved in the service. During repairs, contacts can be restored or replaced.

Modem

How to activate a SIM card on a modem - to register the card used for the modem, you must:

  • Open the device management program;
  • Next, go to the “Account Management” tab;
  • Go to the section “Top up your account” - “Activate starting balance”.

Important! If you do not automatically access the modem program on your PC or laptop, try restarting the device or logging in manually:

  • Log in to “My Computer”;
  • Go to the removable drive, right-click on the drive and select "Open";
  • Run the file “Setup.exe” or “Autorun.exe.

We hope we answered the question of how to activate a SIM card on a Beeline modem.

Problems with SIM card

Such difficulties are much easier to eliminate than those described in the previous section.

Strictly speaking, the easiest way to solve the problem is to replace the card at the office of your mobile operator.

By presenting the documents of the person to whom the number was registered, you can receive a new card for free, preserving the number, tariff, balance, and other data.

Important! The same actions are recommended when a standard or mini-SIM needs to be replaced with a nano-SIM. Trimming yourself can lead to problems and loss of card functionality.

If the slot and other hardware components of the device are working properly, but the card is not detected, then the problems may be as follows:

  • The card has expired or has been blocked after a long period of non-use - contact the operator and find out why the card is blocked and whether it can be unblocked;
  • A new, just purchased card may not be activated - the problem is especially typical for many foreign SIM cards, and can be solved by calling or sending an SMS to a specific number;
  • A card is still a rather complex technical device, so it can also be damaged - the contacts oxidize when flooded, break when pressed, etc.;
  • A common cause of failure is unsuccessful independent (and sometimes professional) cutting of the card to micro- or nano-format - in this case, you can accidentally damage its important elements;
  • The card becomes dirty as a result of long-term use.

It's quite easy to identify the problem. Flooding, oxidation, breakage or clogging of the card can be noticeable visually, and in the case of clogging at all, cleaning the card and blowing it out helps. In other cases, replacing the SIM card while keeping the number will quickly eliminate any problems that may arise.

What to do if the MTS SIM card does not work

If, when considering the question “MTS SIM card does not work, what should I do?” the above information did not help, it is recommended to directly contact qualified technical support specialists of the operator. An appeal can be submitted:

  • by free call to the hotline support number. The client will be required to provide some personal data to verify the subscriber status;
  • directly visit the nearest service office in your city, where you can conclude an agreement for the provision of communication services;
  • by filling out the text form on the company’s official website. Please provide in advance a detailed description of the error that occurred and the measures already taken to eliminate it, which will speed up the time it takes to process the request and receive a qualified response.

Other cases

A special case of the problem is incorrect installation of the SIM card.

In particular, before installation, the user must find out whether his device supports hot-swappable cards, and also carefully monitor whether the card is installed on the wrong side.

There is also a possibility that the card needs to not only be inserted, but also pressed until it clicks.

But besides this, there are also less obvious problems. For example, the SIM card contacts do not connect to the port contacts.

Most often, this problem occurs when a large card is cut to a smaller format on its own - in this case, an error of even half a millimeter can lead to problems.

This can also happen when a nano-SIM is inserted into a micro-SIM port (or a micro-SIM into a regular one). In this case, the card will work, but it must be installed correctly, exactly hitting the contact areas. Sometimes in such a situation, the card may move when moving the phone, but the problem is easily solved by placing a sealant (paper, cardboard) between its top and the top of the port.

<Fig. 15 Trimming>

The reason is SIM card

Let's begin our analysis of theoretical material by considering the reasons associated with the problems of a small plastic rectangle.

Below I will describe the most common of them. Therefore, please read to the end and choose the most suitable case. Then proceed to specific actions.

Conclusion

If the phone does not see the SIM card, this can be the cause of either a serious breakdown or a minor problem or inconvenience, such as the SIM card being blocked.

Before attempting to repair your phone, it is recommended to check the condition of the SIM card by replacing it.

If the phone sees another card, then it is obvious that there are no problems with it.

Before purchasing a phone abroad, you should check in advance whether it will work normally with your mobile operator.

If you discover a serious breakdown, you should not try to fix it yourself if you do not have enough skill and suitable tools.

It is better to seek help from specialists so as not to further damage the device with your incompetent actions.

Why does the MTS SIM card not work?

Considering why the MTS SIM card does not work on the phone, you can identify an extended range of problems associated with technical and software malfunctions. Diagnosing the problem is not difficult - a description of the error is displayed on the screen of your phone.

If you have not used communication services for a long time, and after that it stops working, such a SIM may be invalid. In case of prolonged inactivity on a number, the operator has the right to transfer it to unused status and transfer it to a new subscriber for reconnection. It is recommended to periodically perform USSD requests, top up your balance and call from the number you are using, so you can maintain the ability to use the services of the largest telecommunications operator.

MTS SIM card activation: all methods

An unactivated number is completely useless. With its help it is impossible to make calls, receive calls, access the Internet and use any other mobile communication services. The only thing you can do with an inactive SIM card is dial an emergency number. Of course, immediately after the purchase, the subscriber thinks about how to activate the MTS SIM card. In fact, this question rarely arises, because in most cases the number is activated automatically . That is, you just need to install a SIM card in your phone, turn it on, and you can immediately use cellular services. Unfortunately, automatic activation of a SIM card does not always occur. We don’t know what exactly could be the reason for the lack of automatic activation of the number, but there’s definitely no need to worry about this. You can activate your MTS SIM card yourself. In this case, it is not at all necessary to go to the nearest MTS office; everything necessary can be done remotely (except in rare cases).

You can activate your MTS SIM card in one of the following ways:

  1. Install a new SIM card into your phone and immediately after starting, dial *111#. After some time, you can use the number as usual;
  2. Call the help center. You can call the MTS operator at number 0890;
  3. Contact any MTS office and ask to activate your SIM card. Be prepared for the employee to ask for your passport.

We have given the methods for activating a SIM card in the sequence that should be followed. That is, if after entering the USSD command the number is not activated, try calling the MTS operator. If you cannot reach a help center specialist, contact the MTS office. Specialists will certainly help you.

Why does the MTS SIM card not work?

As mentioned earlier, usually SIM card activation occurs automatically. If this does not happen, you need to use one of the above methods, and going to the office can be considered a last resort. As a rule, it is enough to simply dial the command *111#, or call the operator. If both of these methods do not activate the SIM card, then there may be some problems with the SIM card. To fix a problem, you need to find the reason why it occurred.

The SIM card may not work for the following reasons:

  • A lot of time has passed since purchasing the SIM card;
  • The SIM card has been damaged;
  • An attempt to activate an MTS SIM card occurs in an area where there is no network;
  • The phone itself is faulty.

These are the most common reasons why a SIM card may not work. Of course, there could be another reason. It is most often possible to find out the exact cause when visiting the office. By the way, here you can replace your SIM card for free, while keeping the same number. We also advise you to pay attention to the availability of the network, this is often the problem. Therefore, before activating your MTS SIM card, make sure that you are within the network coverage area. Again, if everything is fine with the connection, but you can’t activate the SIM card, take your passport and go to the nearest MTS communication store. Even new SIM cards can be faulty and can be changed without any problems, of course, except for those cases where the SIM card was purchased in transit without registration.

Providing mobile communications and Internet services requires the installation of a special SIM card in your phone, tablet or USB modem. This chip acts as a subscriber identifier and contains all the necessary information about a specific personal account, service operator and a number of system data. If a client’s MTS SIM card does not work, he cannot make calls or access the World Wide Web. The problem creates a lot of inconvenience, which makes it necessary to find ways to quickly eliminate it.

In this material we will look at:

  • the main reasons why the SIM card does not work;
  • common types of errors and ways to eliminate them;
  • ways to contact a qualified customer service representative;

  • prompt fault diagnosis and additional precautions.

Ways to solve the problem

The answers to the main questions when restoring a SIM card can be found in the table below.

Mikhail For some time he worked in the MTS communication salon. I am well versed in technology, I am interested in the field of mobile companies and applications Question to an expert Is it possible to restore a number from an operator without a passport if the card is not issued in my name? Yes, you can. You just need to provide a power of attorney from the person who purchased the SIM card. This is a rather complicated operation; it’s easier to buy a new SIM card. Why can’t you cut your SIM card to the required size yourself? It has many different nodes, for example, power, input, output, control. If you do it yourself, you can touch some areas and the SIM card will become useless. It is better to carry out the procedure in a communication salon. Is the SIM card really valid for 6 years? Some users may have more, others less. It all depends on how it was handled, for example, whether it was often pulled out of the case. Is it possible to download new firmware from the Internet? Yes, if the site is official. In most cases, downloads occur from unknown sources, and the software may well contain malicious code

Anyone, using the instructions, will be able to understand why the phone stopped seeing the SIM card and will be able to restore the network.

Action plan:

What to do in such a situation? How to find out why the SIM card does not work

? Below is a detailed action plan.

  1. Open the phone, inspect the SIM card, evaluate its location in the slot. Perhaps the SIM card has moved slightly, so its contact with the phone is lost. If in your phone the SIM card needs to be inserted under the battery, and not into the card reader next to it, then there is a high probability that the contacts of the SIM receiver and the SIM card simply do not touch. Try pressing the SIM card to the slot using a small sheet of paper folded several times. Place the folded sheet between the SIM card and the battery and reassemble the phone. Perhaps contact between the parts will be restored and the SIM card will start working again.
  2. Carefully inspect the contacts of the SIM receiver and SIM card. Are they dirty? They may be the reason why the SIM card has stopped working
    . Wipe the visible contacts with a regular eraser, return the SIM card to its place and reassemble the phone. Works?
  3. Bend the SIM card slightly so that the side with the contacts is convex. With prolonged use, the SIM card heats up and becomes deformed, and then the SIM card contacts do not reach the slot.
  4. Insert another SIM card into your phone. The best option would be a SIM card from another operator. If it works, then the problem is with your SIM card: it is faulty. If the phone does not see the new SIM card, it means that the problem lies with it.

Why did it happen so?

In a conflict between the SIM card and the phone, as a rule, one of them is to blame.

Why doesn't my phone see my SIM card?

Before eliminating one of the reasons, it is recommended to find out whether this can be done at home, since some operations will require special equipment. It is also worth saying that some reasons can be combined, so the phone needs to be checked carefully for other problems.

Simka is outdated and demagnetized

Operators do not set a specific validity period for SIM cards. Typically, correct number service lasts for 7 years. Also, a lot depends on the user himself, for example, how often he moved the SIM card from one mobile device to another gadget.

If you perform this operation frequently, the card will begin to wear out. In addition, SIM card can get into water or other liquids, then it will oxidize. The smartphone itself on which the SIM card was installed also plays a role; each phone has its own capabilities, which are displayed on it.

If the card was purchased a long time ago and suddenly stopped working, you should replace its operator. To do this, you need to come to the center of the service company with a passport. In this case, you can leave the same number as the old SIM card.

SIM card replacement is not reflected in the tariff conditions. He will remain the same. Of course, the subscriber can change it, but this is done separately from changing the SIM card.

SIM card or phone is blocked for a specific operator

When a user purchases a smartphone at a promotion or discount, the phone in most cases is automatically linked to a specific communication provider. This can be checked by inserting a card from another operator into the slot. If the connection does not appear, it means that the model can only read cards of a specific company.

This can be fixed; there are two solutions to the problem:

  • How to activate an MTS SIM card?
  • contact an office that specializes in this topic, and a technician will use special equipment to reflash the software;
  • try changing the software yourself.

The first option is easier, however, you will have to pay for the work. The second option is more complicated and there is a risk of damaging the smartphone. However, if successful, you can save money and put the gadget system in order. If the user is not confident in his abilities, it is better to use the first suggestion.

There is dirt on the SIM card or slot

Over time, both the SIM card slot and the SIM card itself can become covered with dust, become dirty, or a foreign element can get between the contacts. Because of this, the system will recognize the SIM card with a delay, in addition, the latter will constantly turn off. These parts must be treated with care and can be wiped clean.

If dirt does get in, you need to do the following:

  • pull out the SIM card holder;
  • inspect them for the presence of dirt or other damage;
  • shine a flashlight into the slot to make sure that nothing is stuck in it, you can also blow it out;
  • wipe the tray and card so that the chip is clean;
  • insert the items back into the phone and turn it on.

In most cases, these actions help to establish communication for different SIM cards, the gadget will be able to read them again.

Some users may think that the card can be cleaned with water and cleaning agents. However, this will only cause more damage to the card and will completely disable it. Therefore, it is not recommended to bring the card near water.

Phone system crashes

The stability of the operating system is influenced by many factors. They almost do not affect the functionality of the mobile device, but often cause software malfunctions, including those with the SIM card. To correct such malfunctions, you can perform the following algorithm.

  1. It is necessary to reboot the device, since placing a SIM card in a working phone may lead to the fact that it simply will not see the SIM card. The power key must be held down. During this, click the “Restart” button.
  2. Remove the battery and SIM card slot from the case. It is recommended to remove the elements for 30 seconds; if time permits, more can be done. After the allotted time has passed, you can place all the parts in their places and activate the gadget.
  3. Next, you should turn on “Airplane Mode”. This disables all information transmission over the mobile network. It should be on for about 20-40 seconds, after which it should be turned off.

Some models provide access to activate the above mode directly through quick settings, which are located in the notification field. If there is no icon indicating this function, “Airplane Mode” can be activated through the parameters. To do this, go to the “Network and Internet” item, the “Advanced” tab. There will be a button to control this mode.

SIM card tray is broken

As mentioned above, the SIM card tray is quite fragile, so it can easily be damaged. Its breakage can be caused by careless removal, falling from a great height, or rough installation into the socket. All this usually leads to the appearance of microcracks and breakage of contacts.

If the tray does break, it is not recommended to repair it yourself, as this may lead to even greater deformation. The user will need to contact a service center. The technician will carefully examine the tray and tell you why the phone does not see the card.

Although you cannot carry out repairs yourself, you can inspect the parts and check whether the slot is broken or the reason is different:

  • Theft of SIM cards by replacing them in the salon. How to cut or change MTS MicroSIM and NanoSIM SIM cards
  • The card along with the slot is carefully removed from the smartphone;
  • The SIM card is inserted into another device, the connection on the second gadget is checked;
  • if everything is in order with the connection, you can put the card in the old slot, you need it to fit tightly;
  • the card may fall out, in this case a piece of paper placed under the SIM card will help;

After this, you can reinsert the items into the phone; if it still doesn’t see them, then the problem is in the tray. You'll have to go to a special gadget repair office.

Unsuccessful conversion to micro or nano size SIM card

In communication shops of various operators, cutting a standard SIM card is carried out using a special stapler with certain sizes of new forms. The risk of damaging the card is minimal, but it exists when old-style cards with a large contact field are cut off.

Trimming the SIM card yourself with scissors can also lead to damage. The device may no longer see the Sim.

In this case, there is only one way out - you need to purchase a new card of the required dimensions. This is done in the communication salon of the service provider.

Communication parameters are lost

There are cases when the communication parameters on the smartphone were changed or completely crashed after flashing. This may result in loss of mobile communication. You can fix this problem and correct the parameters by following the presented algorithm of actions:

  • go to settings, go to “System”, “Advanced” tab, “Reset settings”;
  • you should click on the inscription “Reset Wi-Fi, mobile Internet and Bluetooth settings”;
  • The operation must be confirmed by clicking the “Ok” button.

After the process is completed, you need to reboot the device. if the system did not do it automatically.

Phone software problems

The operating system of a mobile gadget stops functioning correctly when the software was unsuccessfully updated or unofficial firmware was integrated, which contains communication bugs. In the event that a custom assembly is used, it is better to return to the stock one.

You should check for all currently available updates. If the bug is related to the network and is widespread, the company will quickly release new update packages. When the failure occurred as a result of malfunctions in the update itself, and the assembly did not correct the malicious code, you need to reset the settings to factory settings.

You can perform the reset operation using the following instructions:

  • open settings, enter the “System” section, then go to “Advanced”, “Reset settings”, select “Delete all data”;
  • a notification will appear on the screen, you need to read it and start the procedure;
  • when the phone reboots, the user must reconnect the account and restore the information.

Since a lot of personal data is stored in memory, it is recommended to move it to a flash drive or other storage device. You can also make a backup copy of your data, otherwise all photos, videos, profiles and applications will be completely deleted from your smartphone.

Virus in the system

Virus code affects almost the entire phone system, including the network and SIM card. To avoid malicious applications entering the OS, do not open suspicious links, banners or emails. It is also not recommended to download suspicious utilities.

  • How to find out your puk code MTS Belarus. What is PUK in a phone? What to do if the PUK code is lost

To find out whether viruses are the reason why the phone does not see the card, you need to do the following:

  • press and hold the power button;
  • hold down the “Shutdown” button for a couple of seconds;
  • the gadget will prompt the user to switch to safe mode, in which third-party software will be deactivated, you must agree;
  • Next, you need to check whether the SIM card is recognized; if so, then there is malware on the phone;
  • to remove it, you need to go to “Applications and notifications”;
  • Click on “Show all programs” and select “Installed”;
  • Next you need to look through the entire list of suspicious applications and software that the user did not install.

When untrustworthy software has been found, you need to remove it and restart the smartphone. After this, the network should appear. To avoid such situations in the future. You can download an antivirus to your device.

Airplane mode enabled

Some users may accidentally activate the Airplane Mode option. This mode, when operating, completely disables all communication elements in the mobile device. The connection with the provider, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and other network-related functions will be lost.

You can easily disable it. To do this, drop down the notification menu and click the corresponding icon. After this, the communication details continue to operate as normal.
