The conditions for the provision of communication services differ in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Here you will have to pay 2.2 rubles per MB for the Internet, and outgoing calls to numbers of any operators will cost 3 rubles per minute.

There are also children of preschool and primary school age who are just beginning to master phones and smartphones (or even watches), for whom it is important to always be in touch. With parents, of course.
In addition, the family does not necessarily live under the same roof and have a common budget. For example, we have my wife and children, my parents, her parents, my grandmother, her grandmother... Everyone has their own tariff that is convenient for them, and each household pays for communications itself. Especially grandmothers - just try to put money on their phone, they are on their own and not helpless, they want to do everything themselves while they can.
But of course, I am in charge of distributing phones, setting tariffs, checking balances, and all this. As the most advanced in this regard. I suspect that in the average Russian family this is also done by a man in the prime of his life. Especially for such large families, MegaFon introduced the “First Family” tariff, which I immediately began to study.

They make very few calls, so package rates with minutes and internet are definitely not profitable. Previously, it was necessary to connect the good old per-minute billing, which immediately creates a headache: constantly monitor the balance of all these numbers. With “My Family” the problem is solved very simply - a child or grandparent can always call you. In general, you can actually keep a minimum positive balance on their numbers, or a conditional ruble, because, by and large, they have no one to talk to except within the family. And with “Protection”, they will not spend all the money from the account by accidentally responding to some advertising SMS - they will need to send an informed confirmation.
At the same time, the organizer of the group - apparently, this will be the head of the family - sees in a special section of the MegaFon mobile application the balances of all participants and the balances of packages if the tariff plans of family members include some volumes of traffic. At the same time, notifications are received that the balance is approaching zero. Accordingly, you can quickly top up the accounts of all family members or set up automatic payments for all numbers.
It is important that the tariff plans of all family members do not change after joining a group, that is, “My Family” is not about general packages of minutes and gigabytes for everyone, but rather about ease of management and control. At the same time, the creator of the group does not receive full access to the personal account of family members; for example, he cannot order details of conversations; the right to do this is reserved for each subscriber. The organizer of the group can be a subscriber of MegaFon’s current package tariffs - these are the lines “#WithoutOverpayments”, “Turn On”, “Unite”, and the members of the group can be subscribers of any tariffs, even without a subscription fee. While you can create groups of numbers from the same region, we plan to add support for numbers from different regions later.

Now I’ll tell you more about the “First Family” tariff. It is interesting because when added to a family group, the subscriber receives not only unlimited calls within the family, but also unlimited instant messengers, as well as free 1 GB of traffic monthly. It's essentially a free plan, ideal for kids on their first phone. In addition, you can buy additional packages of minutes, gigabytes and SMS for this tariff, making it easily tailored to the needs of adult family members and teenagers. That is, the tariff can grow with the child.
When connecting to the “First Family” tariff, the subscriber receives a SIM card on which only per-minute calling charging is enabled and the “Internet Blocking” option is enabled. You can turn it off, and then 100 MB of traffic per day will be available for 10 rubles, these funds will be debited automatically on the days when the subscriber uses the Internet. This is mainly designed to ensure that the subscriber’s number is promptly connected to the “My Family” group, where traffic to instant messengers is not charged and there is a free monthly gigabyte of Internet.
1 GB of Internet for a month may be enough for a child to surf the Internet inactively, chat with a voice assistant and start getting acquainted with social networks, without being stuck on TikTok, of course. When the gigabyte comes to an end, the “basic Internet” package will be automatically connected - 100 MB per day for 10 rubles, therefore, when the owner of the tariff gets used to the network, in most cases additional traffic packages will be required. You can connect from 1 to 30 GB at a price of 2-14 rubles per day, and with a 10 and 20 GB package there will be unlimited access to social networks, and with 30 GB – also to YouTube.
There you can also buy packages of minutes for other local calls: 50, 100 or 200 minutes per month with a subscription fee from 2 to 6.5 rubles per day (that is, the unit cost of a minute will be slightly higher than 1 ruble). In fact, this makes it possible to provide a schoolchild or pensioner with communications for any scenario: basically, he will call other family members for free and unlimited, and 50 minutes is enough for calls, for example, to a courier, to a clinic, etc. Or if grandma has a chatty friend, she can also be added to the group.
By the way, there is another option: blocking the Internet, except instant messengers. It is suitable for those cases when you want your child to always be in touch on WhatsApp/Telegram, but not spend hours on social networks.
Especially for owners of push-button phones, 6 SMS packages will be relevant: from 30 pieces per month to 100 pieces per day.
MegaFon was able to unite a family without changing tariff plans: when joining a group, only free communication within it appears, balance control and protection from subscriptions, and all this is free. Minutes, SMS and MMS

MMS are also not included in the subscription fee. When sending multimedia within Russia, 7 rubles per piece is withdrawn from the account.
