New tariffs for home Internet from Velcom provider

Now subscribers of the velcom provider will find it even more comfortable to use the Internet. At the end of 2021, the Belarusian company launched a new line of tariffs for home Internet and interactive television: “Home” and “Internet 50”. When connecting them, subscribers will receive additional bonuses and benefits. The key feature of these velcom tariffs is the subscription fee: it varies slightly in the capital of the country and in the regions. Thus, in the regions the amount of regular payments will be lower than in Minsk. We will look at the “Internet + Interactive TV” tariff plans in more detail below with current prices for Minsk.

Internet and TV tariffs

All prices are indicated in Belarusian rubles.

Unlimited Internet on all tariffs. When you connect, you are given a free Wi-Fi router. The subscriber receives a licensed Dr. antivirus. Web for one PC or mobile device.

All subscribers get access to a community where they can chat and ask questions. The service package includes radio - more than 700 radio stations. The subscriber can also use the DC++ file sharing service, which is a convenient service for exchanging information.

The set-top box has a pause and rewind function, and also gives access to the archive of programs. Among the channels, more than 30 are in HD quality.

How to get a discount

A 75% discount for 8 months is provided to new customers upon connection. The promotion is valid for all tariffs.

In addition, new users receive an annual subscription to the iVi bonus package - an online cinema. It includes films for children and adults, TV series, and all in HD quality.

After 8 months of using home Internet, the subscriber automatically switches to the basic tariff according to his tariff plan.

Using Ethernet or GPON technology

A fiber optic cable is supplied to the subscriber's home or apartment. Now the company, along with a new connection to the home Internet, is installing a special promotional subscription fee for any 3 A1 numbers. Details of the promotion are here.

• All subscribers have access to the company's internal resources (file sharing, community) and peer-to-peer networks with access speeds of up to 100 Mbit/s, regardless of the tariff used, as well as more than 800 radio stations for every taste.
• With Ethernet technology, incoming and outgoing access speeds are the same. If GPON is used, then the outgoing data transfer speed is always exactly 2 times lower than the outgoing one.
• The Wi-Fi router is provided free of charge, but only for the duration of use - dual-band.
• An obligatory bonus of any package is Dr.Web anti-virus software for 3 devices (if a smartphone, then only with Android OS).

Characteristics of proposals

Today, Ethernet technology is the most common in the field of Internet services. The main thing is that the user’s place of residence has the technical ability to connect (usually a fiber-optic cable is supplied to the house, followed by setting up a router). Ethernet technology provides the subscriber not only with fast access to the Internet at maximum speed (up to 100 Mbit per second), but also with watching IPTV using a digital set-top box. Interactive television options include the ability to pause or rewind the broadcast, as well as record television programs.

The provider Velcom has developed three groups of tariff plans. The first segment is the most extensive and includes several tariffs with the highest data transfer speeds and interactive TV with set-top boxes to boot. The second segment is the Internet at lower speeds and IPTV, as well as no more than 2 set-top boxes. The third option for connecting home Internet does not include interactive television and set-top boxes. Note that in all options, internal resources are characterized by a maximum data transfer rate. Let's look at each group separately (please note that the names of the tariffs and the amount of the monthly fee vary depending on the city or the entire region).

Tariff plans for Internet and interactive TV:

1. Home 100 – speed reaches 100 Mbit per second, if necessary, connects simultaneously on five or more devices, there is an audio and video portal, DC++ and radio. Digital TV includes 100 channels, of which 18 are in HD format. When connected, the kit contains 2 set-top boxes, so IPTV can be viewed on three TVs in your home. The cost of this set of services is 49 rubles (24 rubles 50 kopecks for the “Hurry up home” promotion).
2. Home 60 - for 37 rubles per month (18 rubles 50 kopecks according to the promotion) you will be provided with comfortable access to the Internet at speeds of up to 60 Mbit/s, television with a hundred different TV channels, as well as 2 set-top boxes.
3. Home 40 is another option with home Internet at speeds of up to 40 Mbit per second, hundreds of TV channels and one free set-top box included. The subscription fee will be 31 rubles or 15 rubles 50 kopecks (on promotion) per month.

The following group of tariffs is characterized by a lower data transfer speed:

1. Home 30 tariff plan is available for 29.9 rubles. per month (or 14 rubles 95 kopecks, if you manage to connect during the promotion). For this price, the user gets 30 Mbit/s home Internet, 80 channels (of which only one is in HD quality), as well as 2 TV set-top boxes.
2. Home 20 – this offer will cost the subscriber 26.9 rubles. for 30 days (13 rubles 45 kopecks at a promotional discount). The data transfer speed will be no more than 20 Mbit/sec, interactive television options and 80 multi-genre TV channels are available. As with other options, the set includes a set-top box (1 piece), a Wi-Fi router and the Doctor Web anti-virus kit.
3. Home – tariff plan for undemanding users. In terms of its characteristics, it is completely similar to the Home 20 tariff, only the set does not include a free TV set-top box. Cost 19 rubles 90 kopecks (or 9 rubles 95 kopecks on promotion).

The “Internet 50” tariff is intended for active Internet users and does not include IPTV services. The provider guarantees its owners a speed of up to 50 Mbit per second for 26 rubles per month (13 rubles for the promotion). Unlike the other presented line, the tariff is in a test format and is available for connection only to new subscribers of the company.

How to connect

To connect your home Internet and TV from Velcom, do the following:

• Select the appropriate tariff on the website.
• Click the “Order” button in the tariff description card.
• Fill out the application form and click the “Submit” button.

• After this, the manager will call and tell you about further actions.

If you connect one of the tariff plans discussed above between December 6, 2021 and January 31 next year, then you can use it for six months with a 50 percent discount.

The rules of the promotion apply to tariffs of the “Home” line, as well as for the “Internet 50” offer. There are no additional payments when connecting equipment; in addition, you will be provided with a Wi-Fi router and set-top box (according to the terms of the selected tariff plan).

Velcom - personal account capabilities

• Account verification . To use cellular services you must have a positive balance. Previously, subscribers checked their account status by sending requests. Now it can be viewed through the office. Cost statistics are available.
• View package services . You receive a certain number of minutes, messages and Internet from the operator. If you want to always stay connected, do not forget to check the number of available services.
• Refill . Performed with a bank card. Write the amount you want to deposit. The processing center page will open in front of you. Confirm the payment with a one-time code and wait for the funds to be credited. This takes a few seconds.
• Connecting additional services . For the convenience of subscribers, various features have appeared (anti-caller ID, filtering of unwanted information, etc.). • Tariff change. The company offers several tariffs for subscribers with different needs. Some people only need voice calls, others need text messages, others need both. • View store addresses. The mobile operator has opened many branches throughout the Republic of Belarus. They sell starter packs, mobile devices and various accessories. Conditions for connecting to the service

Tariff plans are designed for those who need reliable high-speed Internet for study, work or leisure. Connection to the “Internet 50” tariff is possible only when concluding a new contract in the period from April 1 to April 30, 2021.

This tariff is available only to subscribers in Minsk. When concluding a contract during this period, a discount of 50% is provided for a period of six months.

Connection services are free of charge when using Ethernet and GPON technologies. The promotional offer is valid only if the parties sign an additional agreement for the provision of services for a period of at least 1.5 years.

When connecting using Ethernet technology, the value of the incoming Internet speed is the same as the outgoing speed; when connecting using GPON technology, the outgoing speed is 2 times lower than the incoming one.
