Telephone codes of cities in Belarus (Belarus).

Very often, we need to call some city in Belarus. But often we don’t know what code we need to dial to get through. Of course, now almost everyone has a mobile phone and it may seem that these dialing codes are useless. But that's not true. You don’t call a state-owned enterprise on a mobile phone. Therefore, we decided to post data on telephone codes of Belarusian cities in the “advice and communication” section. Read all the codes and an example of the dialing order in this publication.

The procedure for dialing, for example, the city of Minsk from Belarus: 8 - 017 xxxxxxx, that is, access to intercity 8, then the city code indicated below, starting with 0, then the number in Minsk. The procedure for dialing the city of Minsk from other countries: +375 17 xxxxxxx, that is, the country code (Belarus) 375, then the city code indicated below, without 0, then the subscriber number. Below is a diagram: city of Belarus - telephone city code, by region of the republic.

Geographic telephone codes [edit | edit code]

The zone (region) code consists of two characters, followed by the intra-zone code of the locality (district, 1 or 2 digits), then the telephone number. For Minsk and the Minsk region there is no district code, but the region code is 17. The format is as follows: (+375 17 xxx-xx-xx). Thus, in order to determine by a number whether it belongs to a subscriber in Minsk or the Minsk region, it is necessary to determine whether the two digits after the area code (17) correspond to any code of another area from the Minsk region. If they don't match, then it belongs.

Landline (fixed) communications [edit | edit code]

Dial order [edit | edit code]

All non-local calls require dialing 8

, wait for the dial tone (with the exception of some digital PBXs), for connections within the country and for calls to mobile phones (with the exception of calls to numbers of special services), or
10
for international calls.

What to do if they call from a number starting with code 375

When you receive a call from this number, we recommend that you pick up the phone and find out what issue you are being bothered about. Telephone scammers who massively use IP telephony usually bypass Belarusian numbers with the 375 code. They prefer numbers from Western Europe and Southeast Asia.

If the call you receive is of an advertising nature (you are offered to purchase any goods or services, invest money in dubious enterprises, etc.), then refuse the caller. In the future, ignore calls from this number. If you continue to receive annoying calls starting with +375, it would be wise to blacklist this number. This will save your time for solving other, more important tasks.

    How to call Belarus

We found out which country the numbers starting with +375 belong to. Now let's figure out how to call the Republic of Belarus.

To call from a landline phone to Belarus, dial:

    8 – beep – 10 – 375 – (Belarusian city code) – (telephone number of the desired subscriber)

To call a subscriber from a landline number within Belarus, dial:

8 – beep – (area code) – (phone number of subscriber)

To call Belarus from a mobile phone, dial:

    +375 — (area code) — (subscriber’s telephone number)

+375 — (mobile operator code) — (subscriber phone number)

Among the telephone codes of cities in Belarus we note:

    • Borisov +375 (1777)
    • Brest +375 (162)
    • Vitebsk +375 (212)
    • Gomel +375 (232)
    • Grodno +375 (152)
    • Minsk +375 (17)
    • Mogilev +375 (222)

    Other operator codes

In addition to the companies mentioned, there are several more companies that provide their services to clients and officially sell SIM cards with a certain combination of numbers. They deal not only with mobile communications, but also with telephony (Beltelecom), so the code directly depends on the type of device for which its own line is connected or a SIM card is activated.

    Other operators:

    • Life — +375 25;
    • Beltelecom - +375 24.

There used to be an operator called Diallog, but the company went out of business. The full code of the communication provider along with the international prefix was: “+375 29 4”. At the moment, such numbers are not serviced; you cannot call them from the network of any provider in the country.

Diallog was the third company to use the “29” combination, along with MTS and Welk.

Like all other operators in the world, companies providing communications in the Republic have different codes that allow you to understand which mobile network a certain phone belongs to. In addition to the international prefix designating the country, companies have their own combination that makes their SIM card numbers recognizable. Some companies have the same codes, so they add additional numbers to be able to provide communication services without problems.
