What is “Promised Payment”?
If you currently cannot pay for cellular services, then you can always borrow from the operator. Typically, this debt or “promised payment” is a fixed amount with a limited duration. For example, 50 rubles are credited to your account for 3 days; During this time, you must pay off the debt so that your number is not disconnected from communication services.
Of course, this function is beneficial for operators, because the subscriber still continues to spend money on communications, and will still pay off the debt in order to maintain access to his number.
However, many operators charge an additional fee for issuing debt like banks. We will tell you what conditions operators offer in Russia in order for each of them.
Comparison with competitors
Unlike Yota, other cellular operators have long been offering their own “Promised Payment” options. Let's figure out which ones are more profitable.
MTS
“Promised payment” in the amount of up to 30 rubles. This company provides it completely free of charge. Other prices depend on the specific loan amount:
- Up to 99 rub. — 7 rub.;
- Up to 199 rub. — 10 rub.;
- Up to 499 rub. — 25 rub.
If 500 rubles are temporarily credited. or more, an additional 50 rubles will be debited when debiting funds.
Compared to other operators, this is the best offer.
Megaphone
The commission for using the service is exactly 10% of the total cost without rounding. Thus, if you borrowed 50 rubles from an operator, you will have to pay 5 rubles for it, and if you borrowed 300 rubles, it will cost 30 rubles. The offer may be noticeably more profitable than that of Yota, because without rounding you can save significantly. If you “borrow” 150 rubles from Yot, you will have to pay another 20 rubles on top, while with Megafon for the same amount the commission will be 15 rubles.
Beeline
The available replenishment amount directly depends on the amount of money spent monthly on communication services in the last three months. The cost will be as follows:
- If you spend 50-70 rubles, no more than 30 rubles will be credited, and the additional payment will be 10 rubles;
- If you spend up to 200 rubles, the balance will be replenished by 100 rubles, and another 25 rubles will be kept on top;
- If you spend up to 400 rubles, 200 rubles will be credited to your account, and 35 rubles. this amount will be debited for the provision of the service;
- If expenses amount to 400-700 rubles, the “Trust payment” will be 250 rubles, and 45 rubles. you will have to pay extra.
If more than 1,000 rubles are spent per month. for three months in a row, 500 rubles will be received immediately as a “Promised payment”. 55 rubles will be charged for use. This option becomes more and more profitable as the price of the incoming payment increases. However, compared to other offers, these are quite high prices.
Tele 2
For this operator, the cost of the commission depends not only on the volume of funds, but also on the duration of the service. There are several fixed options:
- 100 rub. for 24 hours with a deduction of 15 rubles;
- 200 rub. for 3 days with a deduction of 25 rubles;
- 350 rub. for 3 days with a deduction of 40 rubles;
- 450 rub. for 3 days with a deduction of 50 rubles;
- 800 rub. for 3 days with a deduction of 85 rubles.
This offer is less profitable than that of MTS or Megafon, but noticeably cheaper than the Beeline option and may be more attractive than the option from Yota.
We enable “Pay later” for Yota
Yes, yes, this operator calls this function exactly that: “Pay later.” Iota has always been famous for its non-standard approach to customer service, and for a long time it did not want to introduce this service into its arsenal. But as of 2021, the operator still has it.
a commission is taken : 10% of the debt amount. But this amount is rounded to an integer multiple of 10, naturally in favor of the operator. For example, if the amount charged is 200 rubles, then the commission will be 20 rubles, and if it is 250 rubles, then 30 rubles.
But these are not all the conditions: you can top up your account with debt only if you do not have enough money on your balance to pay the monthly debit according to the tariff. In this case, you can borrow either the entire amount or only part of it. The service period is 7 days.
Please note that you will not be able to activate Pay Later if you have been using this number for less than 3 months or have fallen behind on your previous promised payment in the last 90 days.
To activate the service, proceed as follows:
- Type the command:
