MTS is the most popular and largest mobile operator in our country. MTS tariffs, services and options are activated by new customers every day, and the company itself, actively working to study the needs of its subscribers, ensures regular improvement of tariff offers. Thus, by connecting to one tariff, you can very soon find out about a new offer and a more profitable package.
Switching to another tariff plan in MTS (the tariff can be new or be a variation of an already connected one) is quite simple. Before carrying out this operation, be sure to take the trouble to analyze all the details to ensure that the decision made is correct and rational.
How to connect a tariff via USSD code
This is a fairly common way to change the tariff package, but it is only suitable if the subscriber knows exactly which tariff plan he wants to subscribe to. To do this, you need not only to have an idea of how to change the tariff on MTS using a special code, but to look at the code itself on the provider’s website.
In addition, you can use the combination *111*2*5#, by dialing which you need to click on the call. After this, a message will be sent to your phone with a list of tariffs that are available for connection. After this, the subscriber only has to choose which tariff plan suits him best and confirm the transition.
You can also change the MTS tariff for free on your phone using the USDD code *111#, which you must dial to click on the call. Next, to select the desired tariff plan, the subscriber must follow the recommendations of the autoinformer.
The most favorable archive tariffs + guide on how to connect them
Each mobile operator has many different offers for its subscribers in the form of tariff plans. But in addition to current tariffs, there are also archived ones. They cannot be connected just like that, but the terms of use for them, as a rule, allow you to spend less money on cellular communications. Today we have prepared for you the most favorable archive tariffs + a guide on how to connect them.
Disadvantages of the tariff
Every proposal has its downsides. On the Tariff plan, the main disadvantages are:
- The subscriber will not be able to share his traffic with other users. The usual methods of distributing the Internet via Bluetooth, Wi-Fi or USB point will not work if you are connected to the tariff in question.
- When using file-sharing networks, the connection speed will be reduced to 128 Kbps . Internet speed limits can also be caused by network congestion.
- Balances on packages of minutes and messages cannot be used in the next billing period. This means that all unspent calls and SMS will expire at the end of that month.
- As part of the “Unified Internet” option, provided that you are its initiator, the amount of traffic available for distribution will be limited to 10 GB for the entire billing period.

How to activate a tariff by calling technical support
This method is suitable for those who are interested in the question of how to change the MTS tariff from their phone. However, it is worth remembering that often in order to reach a call center you need to spend at least a quarter of an hour. But nevertheless, if you call 0890, you can always resolve any issues regarding mobile services, including switching to another tariff plan.
If none of the above methods are suitable, then you can go to the provider’s branch and use the help of a consultant who will initially tell you about existing tariff packages and then help you connect the tariff you like.
Mobile operator MTS forcibly transfers millions of subscribers to paid tariffs
Russian legislation contains many laws, but they often protect not the interests of ordinary citizens, but private companies. Cellular operators, by law, have the right to change any tariffs at any time as they please. All they must do for the legality of this procedure is to notify the client about the upcoming changes at least 10 days before they come into force. The mobile operator MTS decided to take advantage of this opportunity and began to forcibly transfer millions of subscribers to paid tariffs.
The Mobile-Review publication reports that the mobile operator MTS has begun sending out SMS notifications to its customers throughout Russia, stating that their tariff plan will be closed in the middle of this month, and the company will provide another one in its place. The innovation affects absolutely all versions of the free “Super MTS” tariff, that is, all subscribers who use it, except for the 2021 model, will be transferred to new tariff plans.
The peculiarity of the “Super MTS” tariff of older versions is that you can call from it for free - 20 minutes a day, and you do not need to pay a subscription fee. Soon the Russians will take away this opportunity from everyone. It would seem that since the old tariff plans are closed, they should simply be forced to transfer to a new one, but not if the most greedy mobile operator in Russia is responsible for this.
Subscribers using older versions of this free tariff will be transferred to paid tariffs - “Our Smart” and “My Unlimited”. For the first one you need to pay 1,000 rubles a month, and for the second - from 480 rubles. It sounds incredible, but this is actually true, the source assures. Considering that the majority of users of the Super MTS tariff are pensioners and people who do not have extra money, the scale of the impending disaster becomes obvious. Many simply will not notice the SMS with information about the transition to a new tariff in time, as a result of which they will pay a colossal amount of money for those services and opportunities that they do not need.
So it turns out that the mobile operator MTS is forcibly transferring millions of subscribers to paid tariffs, and it does this not only in Moscow and Moscow Region, but throughout Russia in general. The publication AKKet.com advises all subscribers who received an SMS about a forced transition to another tariff plan to switch to the “Red Energy” or “Per Second” tariffs, which provide similar conditions of service, albeit without free communication.
Earlier it became known that the new free tariff plan “Super MTS” from the mobile operator “MTS” is deceiving millions of Russians.
Until October 13 inclusive, everyone has the opportunity to receive a Xiaomi Mi Band 4 smart bracelet absolutely free, spending just 1 minute of their personal time on it.

How much does it cost to change MTS tariff plan?
For all tariff plans that are current at the moment, the rule applies - the transition is free once every 30 days . If you change it more often, the cost will depend on the tariff. Those that have a subscription fee will not require re-payment for the transition, but as for “Super MTS”, “Posecondary”, “Red Enerdgy”, you will have to pay 150 rubles for them.
Be careful when charging your subscription fee. It is no coincidence that we have included the rule for calculating it in a separate column. Please note that “My Unlimited” is debited daily. Accordingly, at the time of transition, there should be an amount in the account equal to the daily payment.
For a landline number, payments are accrued every day and are not combined with the tariff plan in financial reports. The price of a direct number may also change due to tariff changes.
For others the situation is different. You will pay the entire amount for the month in a one-time payment. If there are not enough funds in the account at this moment, the transfer will not take place.
In any case, you will be advised of the cost before you give your final consent to the change.

Favorable archive rates
Absolutely every operator has its own archived tariffs, which offer significantly more favorable conditions than the current ones. Of course, it is simply impossible to list all of them. But there are some packages that stand out from the rest.
For example, MTS, the largest operator in Russia, has archived versions of the “Super MTS” tariff, which looks great against the background of all modern tariff plans. Also, many people really like the “My Unlimited” tariff. Beeline has such an advantageous offer as “Zero Doubts”, the version of the tariff plan for 2014 looks especially advantageous.
As for such a cellular operator as Megafon, the advantages of archived tariffs are not so clearly expressed. However, it also has closed tariff plans that will allow you to save money. For example, it would be great for travelers to get an “Around the World” tariff.
When is it better to switch to another MTS tariff?
When a company just launches a new profitable and interesting tariff, it is usually offered to everyone to switch to it completely free of charge. Sometimes, in addition to no fee for changing tariff plans, subscribers also receive various bonuses and gifts. As soon as active advertising of a new product begins, it’s time to try it out under the most favorable conditions.
If the user recently changed his tariff, but now has his eye on a more profitable one, he should not immediately make another switch. Otherwise, you will have to pay about 150 rubles for such changes. It's better to wait 30 days. When the duration of using the next tariff exceeds the specified period, you will most likely be able to change the package completely free of charge.
How to choose favorable conditions
If you are used to getting the maximum, then you need to choose MTS Internet tariffs for a modem without restrictions. These include Maxi and VIP offers. You can get VIP, Internet Maxi MTS, tariff description, modem included immediately when purchasing the device in the salon. Their undoubtedly important advantage is unlimited downloads at night. There are no restrictions during the period 0:00-07:00.
If you tend to use MTS tariffs for the Internet via a modem exactly the same as on your mobile phone, connect Mini or SuperBit. Their high-speed capabilities will also allow you to stay connected not only in your region of residence, but also while traveling.
If after some time you begin to notice that the selected MTS modem Internet tariff is not suitable for you, you should change it.
You know that the MTS modem tariff consists of the installed Connect 4 and special services, so you should be selective in choosing the right package. Subscribers should take a number of points into account. After studying them, you will find the one that suits you best.

Things to consider when purchasing:
- Estimated volume of downloads and uploads (GB);
- Speed (if important, then without restrictions);
- The amount you are willing to pay monthly for MTS Internet;
- Possible hours of use (daytime, nighttime).
The comparison table will help you choose the right MTS unlimited internet for your modem, tariffs.
Of course, when asked which MTS tariff for a modem is better, it is impossible to answer unequivocally. Each user has their own preferences.
Preparing for work
First you need to activate the best tariff for the MTS modem and configure the latter. To connect you need:
- Insert the MTS modem into the USB cable slot;
- Wait for automatic download;
- Go to “Connect Manager” and make a connection. If necessary, active parameters can be changed through a special section in the Connect program. The modem activates MTS tariffs through the USSD command entry window.
- Launch any browser to make sure the MTS network is active.
Most often, when purchasing high-tech devices, they offer promotions. 3 G-device can be purchased for a purely symbolic price of 1 ruble. As a rule, the first month of use has already been paid and included in the total amount.
What options are there?
If you want to change the tariff, then it is worth clarifying which option you want to choose as an alternative? In many regions there is only one plan for these devices - Connect-4.
The program is complemented by options for the Internet. Packages vary in size and price. They allow you to optimize costs and get enough traffic for subsequent use.
In some regions, there is a second “Laptop” plan. It is unlimited, access is provided without restrictions. But the operator cuts the speed to 4 Mbit/s to eliminate high load on the network.
As a result, customers are provided with two tariffs and several options. But this is enough to find the optimal conditions and fully use the Internet.
A short story (not) about how to return a tariff plan that was beneficial to you (in this case, it was to me) because of the statute of limitations.
I’ll say right away: if you know this whole topic, don’t read! Throw it out, scroll further, do whatever you want, but shoo it off!
So, stock up on some goodies.
As you know, our favorite cellular operators like to play tricks with tariff plans and prices, every now and then trying to get the client to like them for money. So they are for my loved one on completely legal terms (of course not)
transferred to another tariff plan, loudly from the screen of their website it said:
ALL FOR 250
(or something like that). All this took place without his consent, there were no calls or warnings. With just one SMS (as if the chef added a pinch of pepper to his most delicious dish) This was done with a wonderful slogan: suffer, you beggars! Tomorrow I will build myself a fifth villa in Hawaii! Woohaha! Your tariff plan has expired, now you have a new one, such and such.
As it really is. The operator's mug cracked in the middle of the night due to his impudence and he urgently needed to take out his anger for the diarrhea that had tormented him. For some reason he lost sleep. I wonder why? His brains began to wiggle. He got indignant with his eyebrows. And standing in the pose of a star, he exclaims to the whole house: “Time to do dirty tricks!” And so they went out hunting.
In fact: A subscriber deposits a maximum of 50-70 rubles into his account per month and calmly uses them in calls and SMS, because he knows what’s what. Who benefits from this now? Only for the client, but for the operator, it is logical that no. After all, what is 50 rubles? You can't buy bread with them. Means what? Right! We need to cut off the lafa quickly, otherwise why have we been so kind for such a long time?! Enough!
Calling the hotline, going to offices, asking for help, and writing out any statements - all this is useless, they happened before, it did not help now. They always say one thing: the tariff is closed for connection, we do not have such an opportunity/authority, blah blah blah...
We looked through the operator’s website, there was a “Classic” tariff.
The conditions are as follows: 3 rubles per day - this is the subscription fee for unlimited service from the operator. And so, 90 kopecks per minute within the network. And, like, 1.5 rubles for calls to other operators.
A total of 90 re for a month, especially since these 3 rubles can be turned off. Hmm .. Well, somehow we’ll cut the family budget, give the stolen child into slavery to the gypsies and sell the kidney, we’ll endure it and pull it out .. That’s what we initially thought, that in fact then they did it. Connected. And let the circle of hell begin)
We turn off the subscription fee, everything is okay. We check the balance, oops!, but the money has gone somewhere. Soooo. Let's find out.
And we find out this: the subscription fee miraculously appears constantly, no matter how long you turn it off. And in this simple way, we spend almost 50 rubles per day for these automatic connections and forced disconnections + another 50 rubles are simply wasted, despite the fact that the phone was lying face down on the table
. The person is already hysterical, like, what’s going on?! He doesn’t understand at all where this misfortune comes from)
After all, as it turns out, every time the subscription fee of 3 rubles is automatically returned, the operator decides to withdraw it from the balance again, because the service has just been activated.
These 100 rubles also included 2 calls to other operators for 2-3 minutes each and 1 call within the network.
Money began to be pumped out of the account like a pump, in addition. there are no services, and the balance was melting before our eyes. When there was a ruble left, and the phone needed psychiatric help from constant SMS notifications and our nerves became completely unusable, we do the following:
1. We go to another operator, in our case it was TTK-mobile. Sorry for taking advantage of you, woohaha
