How to activate the service

Like many operator services, services can be connected in several ways.

Via the site

The most convenient and fastest way is to send an application for connecting and laying a telephone line through the official website https://moscow.rt.ru/hometel/local (for Moscow. You can select the region in the upper right corner).

To connect you need:

  1. Follow the link above to the home telephony section of the site (or in another way - through the main page).
  2. View tariffs and choose the most convenient one based on price and services offered.
  3. Click “Connect” in the selected tariff window.
  4. Fill out an application - you will need to indicate how you can be contacted, what address the connection is planned to, installation dates and any additional comments. The checkbox for transfer of personal data is required.
  5. Under the application, you can click the “Customize” button and, in addition to the selected tariff, connect additional options, as well as view the conditions and prices within the plan that you decided to connect.
  6. Click “Next” and wait until the operator contacts you to set a date for the technicians to arrive.
  7. Sign the contract when the installers come to you.
  8. Don’t forget to pay for the selected tariff for the next month in any convenient way.

Important! The cost of the connection itself is 1 ruble (promotion until the end of December 2021). If during the process of laying the cable and setting up the technicians try to charge you additional payment, it is recommended to call the hotline and clarify the situation.

You need to indicate the following:

  1. Address – the operator will check whether it is possible to lay a line to you or if it already exists.
  2. Full name of the person for whom the contract will be drawn up (ideally, you yourself).
  3. Telephone number for contact.
  4. Availability of equipment - telephone.
  5. Desired connection time - most likely, you will need to negotiate so that both the masters and you can do it.

After this, the connection occurs as usual - on the appointed day, technicians will contact you and sign the contract and install the line.

Contacting the company office

When contacting the company office, it is advisable to have your passport with you. When you connect services remotely, a passport is only needed at the time of concluding an agreement (when technical specialists arrive), but if you come to Rostelecom in person, the agreement is concluded on the spot, so take the document.

If we evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of the “Time-based” tariff for a phone from Rostelecom, it should be noted that each point can be both a minus and a plus. Each subscriber has his own requirements and requests, which may differ from each other.

The main advantages of TP are:

  • low cost of monthly maintenance;
  • low price for switching to the tariff, which is only 1 ruble;
  • the subscriber can independently control communication costs, saving and optimizing their costs;
  • absence of unnecessary additional options that may not even be needed by an undemanding client.

The disadvantages include the fact that with frequent communication, costs will increase. Also, Rostelecom’s “Time-based” tariff plan does not provide packages and previously allocated minutes for calls to cell phones and additional options through which the user tailors communication to himself.

Application procedure

Submitting an application in all three cases is the same; its order can be described by a general algorithm:

  1. Selected a tariff plan.
  2. Selected additional services.
  3. Sent personal information about where and in what name the contract will be signed.
  4. We waited for the operator to call to confirm your intention and the technical capabilities of Rostelecom.

The application has been submitted, you can wait for the arrival of specialists.

The only difference is that the contract itself is not signed immediately in the office, but at the time of connection - if you submitted the application remotely.

Important! If your apartment or house requires the formation of a subscriber line (that is, you did not previously have a home telephone), connection will still cost 1 ruble until 12.2018!

Who is it suitable for?

Rostelecom's "Time-based" tariff plan for a home phone is suitable for people who rarely make phone calls, but prefer to stay in touch. They predominantly use mobile phones or receive mostly incoming calls. The minimum subscription fee is the most favorable conditions for such clients.

If you have not made a single call within a month, then you will only need to pay a monthly fee; if you connect via a paired line - half the cost.

Home phone tariffs

Rostelecom's home telephony tariffs are the most extensive of all those offered on the market. They include options for any request, and may differ only in price offer depending on the region of connection.

Below are packages with descriptions valid for autumn-winter 2018 in Moscow.

Unlimited

A popular plan for parents, seniors, and families who interact a lot with people in their community.

For 522 rubles per month, the subscriber receives:

  1. Subscriber line for permanent use.
  2. Unlimited minutes to all local phone numbers.

Important! Unlimited is offered only for calls to landline numbers. In order to make free calls to mobile numbers from your home phone, you can activate the “Zero to mobile” option.

For 100 base minutes included in the package, the monthly cost will be:

Combined

There are two different tariffs in this offer, differing in the number of minutes packages offered:
