It should be noted that until recently, additional Internet was available for connection to subscribers of the now archival “Comfort” tariff line. For many months, the service was provided free of charge and without speed limits. However, about a month ago, a fee began to be charged for it, and the service itself was closed to new connections.

As for the three higher tariffs, in addition to the appearance of the already mentioned accumulation of Internet traffic, its volume itself has almost doubled compared to the previous “comfortable” analogues: from 4 GB to 7 GB, from 8 GB to 15 GB and from 16 GB to 30 GB respectively. In case of insufficient gigabyte data, subscribers now have the opportunity to purchase additional traffic packages ranging from 0.5 to 3 GB.

An alternative to purchasing additional packages is per-megabyte pricing for additional traffic. If in the previous Comfort line the cost of megabytes was differentiated (the more expensive the tariff, the cheaper the megabytes), then on all tariffs of the current line additional megabytes cost the same - 1 kopeck. Thus, for all except the “junior” tariff, megabytes have become 2-5 times more expensive. This is perhaps the only degraded Internet component of the updated line.

Speaking about unification, we also note the uniform cost of SMS and calls to other networks on all updated tariffs, amounting to 7 kopecks. This suggests that SMS, in comparison with all archived analogues, has risen in price by one and a half times, and calls to other networks to Comfort S, on the contrary, have fallen in price by half.

The cost of the “Unlimited Music” package is reduced from 3.9 to 2.9 rubles.

Comfort M

The subscription fee includes 10 (!) times more free traffic compared to the previous one, but the offer also costs almost 2 times more. Otherwise, it’s the same typical “Comfort” product with free calls to Velcom and a good supply of minutes to other networks.

Pros:

• a decent amount of prepaid Internet traffic;
• 2 hours of calls to numbers of other operators is not bad;
• unlimited on social networks: Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, Odnoklassniki, VK, Tinder, BOOM, Facebook Messenger;

Minuses:

Comfort L

A completely comfortable solution for those who fall asleep and wake up with their smartphone and are willing to pay a lot of money for this pleasure.

Pros:

• traffic from Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter, Snapchat, Odnoklassniki, VK, Tinder, Boom is not taken into account;
• unlimited use of popular instant messengers (Telegram, Viber, WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger);
• unlimited minutes for everything.

Minuses:

• high subscription fee;
• traffic from YouTube still goes to the “general” count, but you can solve this problem for 4.19 BYN per month by connecting the required package.

Recommended: to all active users of smartphones and Internet surfing, who like to talk with subscribers of their network.

Comfort XL

The most powerful tariff in the “comfortable” line, which, despite all its advantages, is not suitable for everyone due to the very high subscription fee and the absence of YouTube among the resources not included in the total traffic. Of course, you can always connect unlimited to it separately, but that’s another plus of 4.90 BYN per month. Expensive!

Pros:

• unlimited access to “foreign” networks;
• unlimited traffic from social networks and popular instant messengers, as well as on YouTube;
• a good supply of free gigabytes.

Minuses:

• very tall subscriber;
• for that kind of money you could get unlimited internet AT ALL.

Recommended for: people who like to make a lot of calls both within the network and to phones of other operators; those who love Netflix and other cinemas; if you are always on the Internet and are willing to pay for the megabytes consumed above the upper limit.

Smart Infinite

An expensive tariff that would fully justify its name, if not for one nuance - about it in the minuses.

Pros:

• unlimited calls via Velcom and Internet traffic;
• subscription to 79 VOKA channels.

Minuses:

• there is no complete unlimited calling to other networks, although the stated 1000 free minutes is very decent;
• very high subscription fee.

Recommended: for those who are not used to counting minutes spent, megabytes, or money in their wallet.

"Highways of Communication"

High-speed Internet also covers major highways of the country. The country even had its first “communication highway” - velcom covered the M1 highway with 3G communications along the entire stretch from Brest to Minsk. Now, while traveling, you can read the news, watch movies and television online, without any interruptions. Even live broadcasts can be arranged - a proven fact. 240 base stations are responsible for the quality of communications on the road, half of which operate in the 900 MHz band.

Other roads also “lead” to the Internet - about 3 thousand km of the country’s highways are provided with stable 3G communications. Several routes in the Vitebsk and Mogilev regions are a little behind the others, but velcom plans to “make friends” with new technologies by the end of the year. Motorists reciprocate: the volume of mobile traffic along highways is growing rapidly. Many use tablet navigators with 3G connections, and half of drivers and passengers have smartphones. So traffic on the “communication highways” will obviously be intense.
