On October 12, 2021, the mobile operator Beeline launched a new tariff plan “ Communication Z

", which stands out quite strongly against the background of other Big Four tariffs.

The fact is that there is no monthly fee for the basic version of the tariff, and packages of minutes and SMS can be purchased separately. That is, you can buy, for example, 300 minutes and 50 GB of mobile Internet, and use them until they run out - without any mandatory monthly payments. In addition, additional services are offered for a daily subscription fee.

Tariff parameters

Let's look at the tariff parameters using the example of Moscow and the region, and at the end of the article - for some other regions of Russia.

Options:

• Subscription fee – no
• Calls to any numbers in Russia – 2.5 rubles per minute
• SMS to any numbers in Russia – 2.5 rubles per message.
• Mobile Internet – 1 GB as a gift when connecting or switching + unlimited Internet traffic volume at a speed of 8 Kbps.

This is the usual tariff. But its meaning lies not in the basic parameters, but in the plug-in packages, so let’s move on to them straight away.

Packages:

Internet:

• 10 GB – 350 rubles.
• 30 GB – 450 rubles.
• 50 GB – 550 rubles.

Calls:

• 100 minutes – 150 rubles.
• 300 minutes – 300 rubles.

Messages:

• 100 SMS – 50 rubles.

The packages are not the cheapest, but you don’t have to pay for them every month. For example, if you don’t make calls very often and don’t spend a lot of Internet, say, only on instant messengers, then packages of 300 minutes and 50 GB may be enough for you, say, for 5 months. This is 60 minutes and 10 GB per month for 170 rubles per month (850: 5). True, there is one pitfall here, which you will learn about later in the material...

A mobile Internet package can be activated on an auto-renewal basis - when it ends, the same Internet package will be automatically purchased for the same money.

Unlimited:

• Free unlimited TikTok - the first 3 months are free, after that the option is disabled.
• Unlimited social networks and instant messengers – 5 rubles per day.
• Unlimited YouTube – 5 rubles per day.
• Unlimited Internet – 30 rubles per day.
• Unlimited calls to Beeline numbers - 5 rubles per day.

It is worth noting the daily fee and free connection. For example, if you need unlimited Internet for a couple of days, you can connect it and then disconnect it. Or, for example, connect to unlimited YouTube for the weekend. Moreover, connecting options costs 0 rubles. This means that you can connect and disconnect services when you need it without additional costs.

In this tariff you can activate services in packages with different volumes. Prices for all offers are shown in the table.

Prices are given for the Moscow region. For other areas they are often lower. The price of services for a number of large cities is indicated below.

Footnote #2 in the detailed tariff description in the PDF file states:

The subscription fee is 5.5 rubles. per day (including VAT) - starting from the 91st day from the date of the last activity of the subscriber, which resulted in the debiting of funds from the Electronic account (paid calls, SMS, MMS, GPRS sessions, etc.) and ceases to be charged if the subscriber’s activity resumes or balance exhaustion. In cases where funds were debited from the Subscriber's Electronic Account during the billing period, the subscription fee is included in the cost of communication services and is not charged as a separate amount.

This all means that once every 90 days you must perform at least one paid action, otherwise the tariff will simply include a subscription fee of 5.5 rubles per day (approximately 167 rubles per month). This condition exists on some other tariffs of mobile operators without a monthly fee, but the “Communication Z” tariff is a special case, since it is positioned as a tariff that allows you to use packages without a time limit. Yes, it’s as if it doesn’t exist, but there is a condition about a mandatory paid action. That is, if you do not use up the purchased packages of minutes and Internet within 90 days, and you do not need to connect new packages, you will have to send one message to perform a paid action in order to avoid paying a subscription fee. And if you have also connected the SMS package... Well, then connect and disconnect any unlimited...

As for me, 90 days without communication costs is a rather modest period for a tariff plan with such a concept. And, I believe, many subscribers who switch to this tariff will not be very happy when they learn about the new subscription fee, which, perhaps, by this time will already have time to suck up part of the balance.

The pitfalls of the Beeline “Communication Z” tariff, pros and cons

If you do not use the SIM card for more than 3 months, even if you have ordered and paid for packages, the operator will start charging a monthly fee of 5.5 rubles per day.

Also, the Beeline “Communication Zed” tariff does not work in Crimea and Sevastopol - roaming operates there, but this is standard for all Russian operators.

Pros:

• The validity period of the packages is not limited to a monthly period, use it until the limit expires - at least a week, at least six months.
• Internet, minutes and SMS packages can be purchased separately and renewed at your own discretion.
• Free distribution of mobile Internet via Wi-Fi, without traffic limit.

We did not find any disadvantages (except for charging a monthly fee after 90 days of inactivity).

The tariff may seem expensive to some. Indeed, from the same Megafon you can find better offers at first glance. For example, “No overpayments. “Everything”, including 50 GB of traffic and 600 minutes, will cost only 600 rubles per month. While “Communication Z” with 50 gigabytes of Internet and 300 minutes will cost as much as 850 rubles.

In fact, such a comparison is not entirely correct, since Beeline allows you to use the purchased packages for an unlimited period. That is, 850 rubles can last for 2, 3 months, or even six months - depending on how actively you spend the packages.

At Megafon, all packages are valid only for 30 days. In real life, few people manage to meet the limit strictly within this period. Surpluses will inevitably arise. Yes, the operator saves them, but not indefinitely. Sooner or later, too much traffic or minutes will accumulate and they will burn out. As a result, you will overpay.

In our opinion, Beeline’s “Communication Z” tariff is an excellent choice for budget-conscious people. If you consume very little traffic and rarely make calls, a package for 850 rubles may last you for a year! None of the big three mobile operators have such favorable conditions.

If you use the Internet very actively and talk a lot on the phone, the “Communication Z” plan will be unprofitable and expensive for you. In your case, it is better to consider regular tariffs with a subscription fee.

Other regions

Parameters and prices vary, but not very much. It is also worth noting that the cost of one minute and one message in the regions may also differ, and the size of the subscription fee for various unlimited services also differs.

Unlimited options

There are additional services on the tariff that can be activated in unlimited mode:

• TikTok - 2 ₽/day;
• mobile Internet - 20 ₽/day;
• messengers and social networks - 5 ₽/day;
• YouTube - 5 ₽/day;
• calls to Beeline - 5 ₽/day.

Prices are indicated for the Moscow region.

The subscription fee for connected additional unlimited options is charged daily. In this case, GB and minutes from activated service packages are not spent.

Personal opinion

It seems to me that for some subscribers such an offer could be very profitable. At least when compared with public tariffs of mobile operators. We are, of course, talking about those subscribers who spend few minutes and GB every month.

You can only connect to the mobile Internet and use exclusively instant messengers, you can connect only minutes and call any numbers in Russia at an affordable price - 1 ruble per minute or even cheaper.

If necessary, you can temporarily connect to unlimited mobile Internet and distribute it, or connect to unlimited YouTube and watch a bunch of videos within one day for a very modest fee.

For those who need a lot of Internet and a lot of minutes, the tariff is not suitable - buying packages or connecting to unlimited Internet will be quite expensive. Unlimited service alone costs more than 900 rubles per month (for Moscow and the region).

I will note the uniqueness of the offer from Beeline. Finally a tariff has come out that is not like the others...

But…

Don't forget about the subscription fee trap. As for me, this is an extremely unpleasant condition that spoils the overall impression of the “Communication Z” tariff.

And the last thing... I switched to the “Communication Z” tariff on the first day of its launch and... my personal account in the mobile application stopped working - “An error occurred. Something went wrong, try again later." In general, on paper the tariff is not bad, but I haven’t been able to test it yet.

The problem was solved by updating the My Beeline application on Google Play.

How to activate the “Communication Z” tariff on Beeline?

Existing Beeline subscribers can switch to the “Communication Z” tariff completely free of charge, if the tariff plan on their number has not changed within the last 30 days. In other cases, the cost of switching to the tariff is 200 rubles.

“Communication Z” is a tariff constructor that allows you to select the optimal volume of services and use them for as long as necessary (until the limits are completely exhausted). The tariff plan works on a prepaid basis. Each service package is paid separately. Therefore, for example, if a package of minutes is used up earlier than the rest, then there is no need to wait for the end of the month or the exhaustion of packaged SMS and traffic - any of the packages can be purchased as needed.

If a subscriber has activated a new package, but the previous one has not yet been completely used up, then the remaining volume and limits from the new package are summed up.

If desired, you can get access to unlimited calls within the network and unlimited traffic. Both connection and tariff management are carried out through your personal account, mobile application or in the Beeline office.

Connection

When connecting for the first time, you can pick up a SIM card at a convenient Beeline communication store or order delivery to your home. It is possible to transfer with your own number from other operators. Beeline subscribers can switch from other tariff plans to Svyaz Z for free. There are no short commands for this.

When connecting to a tariff, a basic set of services is provided. You can enable options and packages only if you have the necessary money in your account.

Deactivation

Disabling “Communication Z” is possible when changing the tariff plan. There is also a number blocking service without switching tariffs.

Tariff plan cost

The tariff does not have a subscription. fees. There is a certain condition: if there is no activity on the number, starting from day 91 the subscriber is debited. fee 5.5 rubles/day.
