How is it different from Yota?

Virtual cellular operator Yota is a pioneer in terms of design packages on the Russian market. “Communication Z” from Beeline is in many ways similar to its proposal, but there are several significant differences. Firstly, in terms of package volume, Yota is much more advantageous. Here you can buy minutes and gigabytes with an accuracy of one piece in a wide range - 2-3 options to choose from cannot be compared with this. And Yota’s situation with SMS is better - the operator offers full unlimited for the same 50 rubles. Secondly, Yota also has significantly more unlimited options. You can purchase unlimited access for both specific applications and groups of applications - for example, music or email services. Beeline doesn't have this. And finally, thirdly, Yota’s tariffs, with all their flexibility, are designed for a month. Anything you don't have time to spend will be burned. Of course, in theory, with a convenient configuration of the constructor, you can calculate everything so that there is ideally enough traffic and minutes until the end of the billing period, but practice shows that this does not work. One month you need more traffic, and another month you need more minutes. Sometimes you call almost every day, and sometimes you make three calls in a month. Constantly adjusting the tariff to suit changing needs is tiring. In addition, you will never predict in advance how everything will be this month, what will be needed and in what quantities.

In this regard, “Communication Z” is head and shoulders above other offers, because here packages are given for an unlimited period of time. You can spend 300 minutes in one day or spread it out over a year. Given this, the small selection of package sizes can be forgiven. There is simply no need to select a package with an accuracy of minutes and gigabytes, because you can spend it as much as you want. But the modest set of unlimited options is already a drawback that would be great to correct in the future.

You can connect to a tariff plan in your Personal Account - both on the website and in the operator’s proprietary application. This is done in the “Tariffs” section. Go to it, select the appropriate option and click on the orange button. You can also buy a new SIM card with a preset tariff or switch to Beeline with your number.

Management is performed in your Personal Account. Here you can check the remaining volume of packages and add new ones or activate unlimited options in a couple of clicks. To disconnect, you need to switch to any other operator tariff. Use the diagram described above. Go to the “Tariffs” section, find the desired option and switch to it.

Pros and cons of “Communication Z” from Beeline

• First of all, it's convenience. Set everything up as you need and use it. If you want to get “stuck” on YouTube, you enable the option for a day; if you get tired of it, you turn it off;
• When connecting unlimited options, the Internet from a previously purchased package, of course, is not spent on these services;
• When you activate unlimited calls within the network, the minutes from the package when calling to Beeline are also not consumed;
• There are no restrictions on distribution, even with the unlimited Internet option;
• Unused minutes and traffic are carried over to the next month;
• No restrictions on torrents;
• Minutes and SMS in packages throughout Russia;
• It is possible to choose a package without minutes, calls or SMS. Not all constructors from other operators provide this option;

Minuses

• The quality of communication and Internet from Beeline is now quite well behind not only MTS and MegaFon, but also Tele2. Check whether everything will work correctly at your home/work or other places where you are often;
• If you do not activate Unlimited calls within the network, then calls to Beeline will consume the package. Even MegaFon doesn't do this anymore

How does “Z Link” work?

The Beeline operator has developed a universal offer that can satisfy the needs of any subscriber. This is possible thanks to the phenomenally flexible configuration. Service packages in the “Communication Z” tariff plan from Beeline have become truly fireproof. They do not need to be transferred to a new billing period - after purchase, any package will be valid until it completely ends. Once the package is exhausted, a new one will be added automatically. This applies only to the Internet - minutes and SMS will need to be added manually. There are no specific dates for charging packages, as is the case with regular tariffs, in “Communication Z”. There are also no specific debit dates - money is only withdrawn when you purchase packages or perform other paid actions. It is not necessary to connect all packages - choose only what you need. If you don't use SMS messages or don't make phone calls at all, you don't need to pay for it. You don't have to connect any packages at all. Then the payment will not be debited at all. This approach allows subscribers not to overpay and use only what they really need. This is a new look at the consumption of cellular services.

Maxim Sverdlov, Vice President of Beeline, believes that the new tariff will help subscribers join the culture of conscious consumption and not make purchases for the sake of shopping. Buy what you need, and exactly as much as you need - this is the message included in the operator’s new offer.

There are, of course, minor “irregularities”, but I am sure that “Communication Z” is now one of the best offers from Beeline for those who do not need a call volume of 1,000 minutes per month (not within the network), but 100/300 is enough minutes, but you need a decent amount of Internet + inexpensive unlimited options sometimes. PS. Before you connect this tariff plan, I definitely advise you to compare it with the “Your Solution” tariff; perhaps this “designer” will be more convenient and better suited for you.

“Link Z” and the 90 day rule

Beeline, like any other cellular operator, has its own rules about the “period of inactivity”. If a subscriber does not perform paid actions for a long time, he ceases to be a subscriber. In the case of Beeline, this period is 90 days. If no paid actions were performed on the number at this time, a subscription fee of 5.5 rubles begins to be charged. per day. Payment is withdrawn until the money in the account is completely spent. Afterwards, the contract for the provision of communication services is terminated by the operator unilaterally, and the number is forcibly blocked. The “Communication Z” tariff differs from other Beeline offers in that it does not have such a limitation. The 90-day rule is disabled, and there is no need to perform paid actions. You just need to interact with already purchased packages - talk, use the Internet or send SMS. This is an important advantage of the tariff plan. You can buy a package and spend it over a month, six months or even several years - the main thing is that you spend at least a little of it once every three months. Other operators simply do not have this.

Personal opinion

It seems to me that for some subscribers such an offer could be very profitable. At least when compared with public tariffs of mobile operators. We are, of course, talking about those subscribers who spend few minutes and GB every month.

You can only connect to the mobile Internet and use exclusively instant messengers, you can connect only minutes and call any numbers in Russia at an affordable price - 1 ruble per minute or even cheaper.

If necessary, you can temporarily connect to unlimited mobile Internet and distribute it, or connect to unlimited YouTube and watch a bunch of videos within one day for a very modest fee.

For those who need a lot of Internet and a lot of minutes, the tariff is not suitable - buying packages or connecting to unlimited Internet will be quite expensive. Unlimited service alone costs more than 900 rubles per month (for Moscow and the region).

I will note the uniqueness of the offer from Beeline. Finally a tariff has come out that is not like the others...

But…

Don't forget about the subscription fee trap. As for me, this is an extremely unpleasant condition that spoils the overall impression of the “Communication Z” tariff.

And the last thing... I switched to the “Communication Z” tariff on the first day of its launch and... my personal account in the mobile application stopped working - “An error occurred. Something went wrong, try again later." In general, on paper the tariff is not bad, but I haven’t been able to test it yet.

The problem was solved by updating the My Beeline application on Google Play.

Is there a catch?

This tariff can be quite profitable if used correctly. But, whatever one may say, it is ideal only for those subscribers who spend little Internet and minutes per month. For example, a user bought the maximum number of minutes and gigabytes of Internet – 300 minutes and 50 GB. If you stretch them out over 5 months, it will turn out pretty good. For just 170 rubles a month, a subscriber gets 60 minutes of calls and 10 GB of Internet. This is very cheap for Moscow and the Moscow region.

But it is worth considering one nuance. If more than 3 months have passed since the last payment for services, then an additional subscription fee is automatically included, which is 5.5 rubles per month, that is, approximately 167 rubles per month. Subscribers who are going to use this tariff should not forget about this nuance and periodically spend at least some money from the account, for example, sending SMS messages abroad or calling other countries.

It is worth saying that a similar condition exists on other Beeline tariffs, which come without a subscription fee. But this case can be considered special, since the “Communication Z” tariff implies long-term use of service packages.
