"Smart"

- the first of the recently launched line of tariffs from the mobile operator MTS. It includes packages of minutes, SMS and mobile Internet, as well as a subscription fee.

Included in the tariff

• 5 GB. Internet traffic per month;
• 250 minutes for making calls to any numbers in the region where you are now and MTS throughout the country;

Smart tariff 032017 from MTS - description

If you are interested in Smart Unlimited 032017, the tariff description is as follows:

• Traffic – 10 GB.
• Minutes – 350.
• Messages – 350.
• Free calls within the network.
• Monthly fee – 550 rub.
• Daily fee – 10 rubles.

If the traffic on the tariff has run out, the MTS Smart 4g tariff provides for an automatic increase in Internet traffic by 500 MB for 95 rubles. The service is provided 15 times during the month.

You can independently connect additional gigabytes by using the “Turbo buttons”: from 100 MB to 20 GB. The cost will depend on the volume chosen.

Pros and cons of the new version of the MTS Smart tariff

pros

• You can “distribute” the Internet from your smartphone and download torrents. For 5 GB. you won’t really get away with it, but still...
• It is possible to pay the tariff daily: for example, if you do not have enough funds in your account to fully debit the monthly subscription fee, then the subscription fee will be debited once a day for 20.50 rubles until you top up your account to 470 rubles; This, of course, is much more expensive than 470 ₽ per month, but for some it will be convenient.
• Free calls to MTS throughout Russia; The freebie was canceled as of March 18, 2019, leaving only unlimited calls in the home region.
• The call package includes both mobile and landline numbers. For example, MegaFon includes calls only to mobile phones in packages, and landline calls are paid);

Minuses

• Unused balances of services are not transferred.
• The package includes calls and SMS only in your home region, any call/SMS to another region will cost you extra.
• When activating the “Smart” tariff, as well as any other from MTS, the subscriber is “in addition” connected to many unnecessary ones, “In full confidence”, “Beep!” and others. How to disable “Smart Unlimited 032017”

Before changing the MTS “Smart 032017” tariff, you need to select a replacement for it. To do this, go to https://moskva.mts.ru. Open “Tariffs and Services” and read the description of active plans - you will also find commands for connection there.

There are 5 ways to disable Smart Unlimited or actually switch to another TP.

1. The simplest thing is to dial the appropriate USSD command from your phone. Click on the replacement plan “Connect” and look for a combination of numbers, “stars” and “hash”. For “Smart” it is *111*1024*1#, “SmartTop” - *111*1026*1#, ULTRA *111*777*1#. Enter a request on your mobile phone, press call and wait for the results in SMS.
2. You can also call the operator’s support service from your smartphone and change the tariff with the hands of a specialist. Dial MTS 0890 with your SIM, listen to the answering machine and use the spoken commands to go to a live specialist. Voice the problem, confirm your identity with your passport details, and the plan will be turned off.
3. For those who do not like to talk with strangers, the transition is available in “My MTS”. This is a phone application that is compatible with common operating systems. The program is distributed free of charge and can be downloaded from the market. Install the application, log in with your number. You can request a password via SMS; the corresponding link is under the entry forms. On the main page, tap on the SIM card icon, scroll to the bottom in the section that opens and click “Change tariff”. Select the appropriate one from the list and confirm your intention with the “Go” button.
4. In your personal account, the actions are almost identical. Go to https://mts.ru, in the upper right corner find the link to the service. After clicking on the “Personal Account” button, select “Mobile Communications” and fill in the fields with the number and password on the page that opens. Log in to the system. Hover over “Manage number” and click on “Change tariff”. Select the appropriate one from the available ones and click “Go”. Confirm the action and wait for the results that will come in the form of SMS.
5. Visit your nearest MTS customer service office. Take the SIM owner's passport, go to a specialist and ask to disconnect the current TP.

Eventually

Taking into account the closure of “Smart Mini”, MTS now calls this tariff “starter” and it is, of course, the cheapest. But, if compared with the previous version, it has become much worse. Disproportional to the reduction in the monthly fee, the volumes of minutes, SMS and traffic were reduced, and the transfer of balances was removed. All subscribers are gradually being “pushed” to connect to more expensive tariffs, but not everyone needs large volumes of minutes, messages and traffic. Sad changes.

Important Amendment

Our article used parameters relevant for Moscow. They were taken as an example to generally tell about the conditions for the tariffs of interest.

But the operator’s prices and content in the regions differ according to the programs. The company is adjusting the terms to make its plans as affordable as possible. Therefore, you will have to double-check the parameters yourself. Required:

4. SMS messages over the package established by the terms of the tariff are charged at 2 rubles in the home region and 3 rubles for Russian SIM cards.

Negative aspects of the tariff plan

The disadvantages of the MTS Smart tariff include the following nuances:

• Inability to carry over unspent balances to the next billing period.
• Inability to use the Internet if a SIM card is inserted into a modem or router: traffic will not be distributed to connected devices.
• Automatic inclusion of services when the tariff is first activated, which may not be needed by the client. They must be disabled manually through your personal account, application, or using the appropriate USSD command.

Nuances of tariff management

You can set up a tariff plan, activate and deactivate services in several ways. The choice depends solely on the wishes of the owner.

Via personal account

The following options are available in your MTS personal account:

• View your balance, including unspent limits for calls, messages and traffic.

• Setting up automatic payment.

Detailed conditions

Before activating Smart, you need to know the basic conditions for the tariff:

1. After “Smart” is activated, the full amount of the monthly payment is written off. Then the full amount is debited on the day of connection once a month. If the client's number is blocked, then debits from the mobile account will be made after its activation. For a whole month, if the SIM card has been blocked, no fee will be charged.
2. If the client connects or changes his number to a landline number, he is additionally connected to it. This service cannot be disabled; it can only be canceled if the number is changed to a federal one. Its cost is set at 304.80 rubles. When activated, the “City number” option will be automatically activated, that is, additional digits will be allocated for the number “495”.
3. Unused minutes and traffic do not carry over to the next month.
4. After the main traffic ends, the client will receive an additional Internet package of 500 megabytes in size for 95 rubles. In total, no more than 15 auto-renewals can be used per month.

Advantages and disadvantages of the new program

Let's list the advantages of My Unlimited:

1. You choose your own packages.
2. You can create a budget or top-end plan.
3. Adapt it to your own needs.
4. Select those packages that are really needed.
5. Optimize costs for communication services.
6. Selection of conditions and connection occurs very quickly.
7. You can change packages at any time if you are not satisfied with the current content.

Disadvantages include merging minutes and messages. If you request 300 minutes, you will receive the same amount of SMS. The operator continues to push SMS messages on customers, although many people have not used them for a long time.

Overall, My Unlimited is a pretty good plan. It has attractive conditions and provides ample opportunities for subscribers. MTS tried to adopt the idea of ​​Iota, which was the first to introduce a similar solution to the Russian market. But the implementation cannot be called ideal. At Yota, you can separately select all packages and connect unlimited applications.

Personal opinion

The tariff is quite reasonable, especially with the transfer of packages to the next month. The subscription fee could be a little lower, but that's okay. This tariff plan is not very suitable for traveling around Russia, since you will have to pay to expand the coverage area of ​​the tariff packages - 15 rubles every day of using communication services.

Also, the tariff will become less attractive from January 15, 2021, as the mobile Internet package will be reduced (for those who connect to the tariff or switch to it starting from January 15). And 3 GB of mobile Internet for 500 rubles per month is not very much.

Again, it’s hard to say whether I would use this tariff or not, since my tariff plan is much more profitable. But previously I had to use Smart, although the conditions there were completely different. Now I could recommend Smart, but only with five GB of mobile Internet, and not three.

Review of the Smart MTS tariff line

The first Smart tariffs appeared in 2013, and later the company offered not only updated conditions, but also other varieties. All of them formed a series of the same name, many are currently archived, but they continue to be actively used by subscribers who connected them at one time.

Smart mini

The subscription fee is 300 rubles, it includes the following services:

• Unlimited calls with other MTS clients within the region.
• 250 minutes of calls within the Russian Federation, regardless of the operator.
• 250 messages to local mobile numbers.
• Internet 2 GB.

This option is ideal for people who rarely go online, but often communicate by phone with friends and relatives.

Smart+

This is a more expensive tariff plan that costs 900 rubles per month. It includes the following options:

Smart nonstop

This tariff is suitable for people who often use the Internet for communication and work, as well as regularly communicate by phone. For 500 rubles a month, a subscriber receives 400 minutes and 400 messages, as well as 10 GB of Internet. A pleasant bonus is unlimited access to the World Wide Web at night. At the end of the traffic limit, additional packages are automatically included, each of which costs 150 rubles and includes 1 GB.

Smart top

This is one of the most expensive tariff plans in the line, it costs 1,600 rubles per month. The user has access to 3,000 minutes of conversation, 3,000 SMS within the region and 15 GB of traffic. It should be noted that conversations with MTS subscribers will be free even after the limit is exhausted. This option is suitable for people who use calls every day and go online not only for work, but also for entertainment, watching videos and listening to music.

The company's clients can switch to the Smart tariff plan completely free of charge using their personal account. For subscribers of other operators
