I have always considered Yota the most loyal Russian telecom operator. Their tariff builder allows you to create your own tariff, in which you pay for what you actually use.
You choose the minimum, add unlimited traffic on your favorite social networks and instant messengers and save a significant amount every month.
Since February 26, the savings have become even greater. Yota has canceled the mandatory minimum. If you want, you can use unlimited internet from Yota for 15 rubles a month and not pay a penny more!
How Yota unlimited works
It was Yota that first proposed using applications for connecting SIM cards, choosing a tariff and managing communications.
Not surprisingly, they are still better than others at this. To connect to Yota, just download the application and order a SIM through it. The courier will deliver a package with a selected or random number (as you wish) within 24 hours. No registration or SMS.
The application and tariff settings are so simple and clear that even my grandmother could figure it out. You insert a SIM card, launch the Yota application on your smartphone and select what you need: a package of minutes, traffic for a month, unlimited applications, a package of SMS.

They cost differently: for unlimited in social networks there is one price, for the same thing in the messenger - another. But you see all the prices at once - for each service and in total.
Yota tariffs in Moscow for unlimited Internet for a 4G modem
Unlimited 4G Internet from the Yota provider is not inferior in speed and quality to market leaders, since the company operates at the same capacity as MegaFon. Numerous consumer reviews indicate a good signal level and wide coverage.
Yota Moscow and Moscow Region 2021 tariffs for individuals start from 0 ₽, that is, the Internet at a minimum speed (64 Kbit/sec) can be used completely free of charge. If you want unlimited surfing on the Internet at normal speed, you can connect 5 Mbit/sec for 900 ₽ for 30 days. Home Internet at maximum speed will cost 1,400 rubles. Corporate rates are also RUB 1,400 per device.

Choose your unlimited at the lowest price
What is different about the new Yota tariff schedule? Now you don't need to pay a minimum payment for voice communications . The minimum package includes only payment for mobile traffic, to which you add the necessary services: minutes, additional gigabytes or unlimited applications.
This is the best way to save on communications. Yota's Internet is traditionally cheaper than anyone else's. For example, in Moscow, 2 gigabytes cost an unrealistic 250 rubles, but in large volumes it costs pennies: 30 GB - only 380, 12 GB - 330, and 6 GB - 280 rubles. It’s worth buying in bulk, or redirecting traffic to an unlimited social network.
Why is that? Because in Moscow (but so far only in Moscow) you can refuse not only calls, but also the Internet package, and pay only for the applications you need.
Why do you need voice communication if you can communicate in instant messengers? “0 minutes” package , the minimum Internet package, the desired messenger (or several resources) and pay only for them. Always in touch by text, voice and video.
In the new tariffs it is unrealistically cheap. Look:
- Unlimited social network of your choice - 25 rubles ;
- Unlimited in messenger - 15 rubles ;
- Unlimited traffic on YouTube - only 60 rubles .
If you call regular phones in Moscow, you can buy 100 minutes for 50 rubles. It’s better to take a monthly package: a minute above the package costs 1.9 rubles, and an additional package for 100 minutes costs 180 rubles. And if you immediately pay 250 rubles, you will get 500 minutes.
Packages from 100 to 500 minutes differ in price in increments of 50 rubles. Need more? Yota offers 700 minutes for 400 rubles, 1000 for 600 and 2000 for 700.
To each his own, all over Russia
In other regions, the conditions are a little tougher, but still much more interesting than what competitors offer. And all for the same reason: you can finally give up voice communication and not pay for it at all.
The mandatory monthly payment (read: subscription fee) consists only of the minimum Internet package . The rest is up to taste. You don't have to add anything.
Depending on the region, Yota personal unlimited will cost from 130 rubles. This is the minimum cost of an Internet package.
You add 10 rubles (on average) and you get unlimited Telegram or Viber.
Another 20 - and look at pictures on Odnoklassniki or Facebook without restrictions. ATTENTION. Depending on the region, not only the cost changes, but also the size of the offered Internet traffic packages and minutes.
The cost of unlimited access to your favorite resource also changes. For example, in St. Petersburg, 100 minutes and 7 gigabytes cost 325 rubles. And in Yaroslavl, for the same money, Yota provides 30 GB of traffic and 200 minutes. Take a look and choose for yourself - it’s still cheaper than most competitors.
How many minutes and gigabytes do you need to be happy?
Traffic from using any of these applications is free of charge for the entire month. You can use the resource both through the application and through the browser.
The operator doesn’t care how you watch or what you’re doing through chats. The traffic of the selected resource is not taken into account, even if you watch TV series or multi-megabyte photos in RAW. If you do not leave the site using an external link, the main Internet package is not consumed.
On YouTube it’s the same. It makes no difference in what resolution you watch the videos: you want HD, you want 4K. If you check the box for unlimited, no additional payments are required.
The most interesting thing, of course, is with instant messengers: in Russia, Yota does not take into account traffic even for transferred files, music and photos. Telegram has become an RSS feed for many people - can you imagine the savings?
However, if you suddenly switched to another social network, or Telegram was closed and everyone went to Viber, the terms of the tariff can be changed at any time.
Yota does not impose any restrictions. There are no hidden fees either. It all depends on you and your own needs.

Rates for SMS
There are two options for paying for text messages or MMS:
- Piece by piece – for 2.5₽ one SMS or mms;
- Package offer – 50₽ for an unlimited number of shipments.
If you send more than 20 sms/mms per month, then it makes sense to purchase a package offer. Connection nuances:
- You can activate it at any time, but it will be valid until the end of the main package (no more than a month);
- When prolonging the tariff conditions, the fee for the SMS service will be debited automatically; if this option is not required for the next month, you must disable it manually.
How can I choose the right tariff?
If you want to save money, you need to use Yota’s main feature correctly. The operator offers to select applications with non-tariffed traffic. But it cannot identify applications for you.
What needs to be done before setting up the terms of your own Yota tariff? Analyze the costs of your current SIM card.

There is no built-in voice call counter in iOS. You will have to rely on current consumption - how much you spoke last month. Or check with the operator by getting a statement at any communication store.

With new prices, Yota again has no competitors. Unlimited traffic, the ability to customize the tariff for yourself - what could be better and more profitable? And Yota has other cool features:

- detailed expense statistics in the Yota mobile application with instant updates,
- stable coverage in 2G/3G/4G networks throughout the country.
From personal experience of using Yota for many years, the main thing is to transfer the whole family to it. And you can forget about spending on mobile communications. 1000 rubles a month is enough for me for 5 people without any restrictions. Although, I practically don’t use calls: Yota coverage allows you to use only instant messengers.
For travel, nothing better than Yota has appeared yet. When traveling abroad, text chats in Viber, WhatsApp and Telegram with Yota are free. When traveling around Russia, it was as if I had never left anywhere at all - the price of calls and the conditions for using mobile Internet do not change.
In the near future, this will become an additional killer feature: operators will be forced to abandon roaming in Russia, and the cost of services will increase. And Yota doesn’t have it now, so the prices will become even more attractive.

If you look at the map of the Yota coverage area in Astrakhan on the official website, we will see a good picture - the city has quite serious coverage in the 4G standard. It also covers nearby settlements - Volodarsky, Krasny Yar, Ikryanoye, Nachalovo, Yaksatovo, Kamyzyak, Narimanov and many others. In other words, all conditions for using high-speed Internet have been created here.
The coverage area of third generation networks is also encouraging - it covers a large number of settlements located in the Astrakhan region. True, modems and routers will not be able to register in these networks - they only work in 4G networks. As for the 2G zone, it is almost continuous. But this does not mean that cellular communication from Iota will work anywhere in the region - the map is approximate, in many places there will definitely be no connection.
