What kind of operator is Letay?

The mobile operator Letai is known only in the territory of the Republic of Tatarstan. It belongs to the telecommunications company Tattelecom. It provides mobile telephony services under the Letai brand, connecting home Internet, digital television and traditional home phones. Also offered to subscribers are video surveillance, control of local areas and security.

Letai cellular communications are deployed within a dual-band combined network of 1800/2600 MHz. 4G networks are also available to subscribers in the LTE 1800 (Band 3) and LTE 2600 (Band 38) bands. Thanks to this, users can count on high-speed Internet access. When traveling to other regions of Russia, Letai subscribers use national roaming with alternative tariffs - more expensive.

Mobile communication services under the Letai brand are provided on its own equipment - Tattelecom has its own base stations, without renting them from other operators.

The main advantages of the Letay operator:

  • Lower prices compared to federal operators;
  • Free delivery of SIM cards to your home;
  • Ability to port numbers from other operators;
  • Large coverage area of two-generation networks – 2G and 4G.

We also note a large number of branded sales offices throughout Tatarstan - they can be found in Naberezhnye Chelny, Nizhnekamsk, Kazan, Leninogorsk, Elabuga, Kamskie Polyany, Zainsk, Zelenodolsk, Innopolis, Almetyevsk, Chistopol and other localities in the region.

Tariff plans for Internet access

Tariffs for using unlimited Internet are presented taking into account the numerous needs of consumers. Their main difference is the speed of the Internet. In addition, some tariffs are complemented by the ability to connect to cable and digital television, as well as use unlimited telephony and outdoor Wi-Fi. Almost all tariffs require a subscription fee.

Letai operator coverage

Cellular communications under the Letai brand are represented by second and fourth generation networks. Zone 2G covers almost the entire territory of the republic, with the exception of small “patch areas” where there are no settlements. There are also 4G networks with high-speed Internet in the region. They cover most of the region, providing subscribers with quick access to websites, social networks and instant messengers. Check the Letai mobile coverage area on the operator’s official website.

The device sees Wi-Fi, but does not connect

What are the differences between 3G and 4G networks: features, advantages and disadvantages

If your wireless devices find the network but are unable to connect to it, there are some factors to check:

  • The distance from the point to the device is too large. Everything is simple here. You need to move closer to the signal source.
  • Router/PC/phone is faulty. Everything is more complicated here. This cannot be done without the intervention of a specialist.
  • The number of possible connections has been exceeded. Home routers usually have a limit of 12 devices. In shopping centers, parks and other public places, an average of 100 devices can be connected simultaneously.

How to find out the rest of the Internet

If you use mobile Internet from Letai, it is important to monitor how much traffic is left on the SIM card, since when it is used up, access to the network will be limited, or money will be debited from your account for additional megabytes.

You can check the data on your SIM card or in your personal account - the “Statistics” item. In the first case, you need to find out the current tariff plan (*116*100#) and the list of connected services (*116*103#). This is necessary in order to understand what money can be written off for. You can find out the remaining traffic, messages and free minutes within your tariff using the USSD command *116*700#.

Important! If suddenly a person forgot to pay for services or used up all the Internet, you can use the “Declared Payment” option. You can receive funds on credit using the command *116*102#. In three days this amount will disappear and the account will be negative.

How to activate a SIM card from “Fly”

You can buy a number for a mobile phone, smartphone, tablet and any other device at the Letai operator’s branded sales offices. There is also courier delivery of SIM cards in the region. The delivery itself is free, but the subscriber must make an advance payment, the amount of which depends on the chosen tariff. Fill out an application on the official website - they will call you back in a couple of minutes and provide details for purchasing a SIM card. Letai SIM cards are activated by sending a USSD request *222*01#.

Preparatory actions

Tattelecom supplies routers from different companies, but now the Rotek Rx-22200 is considered the most popular model, so all further actions will be discussed using this network equipment as an example. If your device is different, we recommend that you enter its model in the search on our website to find the appropriate configuration guide. However, even the instructions given below can be perceived as universal, because the principle of setting up any router under Tattelecom is almost the same, and only the web interfaces differ.

First, connect your existing device to your computer to access the web interface. Read more about this in a separate thematic material at the link below.

The first step of the preparatory work has been completed, but this does not mean that you can proceed directly to interacting with the Internet center. Now it is recommended to check the operating system settings, which are responsible for obtaining the IP address and DNS server for the router. If you set the values of these parameters to automatic mode, this will avoid potential conflicts that may arise when setting WAN properties in the router's web interface. You will find visual instructions on this in the manual below.
