MTS once again pleased its users with a surprise. We are talking about the “Smart Unlimited” tariff. This truly amazing tariff has become available since the spring of this year for all users living in Russia.
You can activate the tariff in the following ways:
- Dial the combination on your phone: *111*3888#
- Send an SMS with the text “3333” to number “111”.
- Log in to your personal account opened on the official MTS website.
- You can go to the nearest MTS salon by presenting your passport.
- Call 0890 and contact the MTS operator.
Switching to this tariff for any type of connection or changing the tariff is completely free.
What tariff is valid instead of “Smart Unlimited”
Today, “Smart Unlimited” is an archival tariff, which has been quite successfully replaced by modern offers, although many subscribers still continue to use it. TP went on sale in May 2021 and immediately gained popularity among customers who were not particularly interested in cellular communications, but actively used the Internet. The option was so unique, it operated without exception throughout Russia and beyond, and had effective Wi-Fi distribution. After 6 months, the package services were significantly cut, a fixed fee was introduced for Wi-Fi distribution, and using the service outside of your home region became twice as expensive.
Less than six months later, the company sent the service to the archives, instead presenting a new tariff - Smart Unlimited 2021. The combination of changing tariff plans did not please subscribers too much, since the new offer did not represent such “unlimited” traffic as it was imagined it was limited to 10 Gb per month.
The developments of the MTS company did not stop there; after some time, subscribers were offered a new TP - “Tariffishche”. What is worth noting is a rather attractive offer, which has truly unlimited traffic and decent volumes of package minutes/SMS. The Tariffishche contract is a kind of constructor in which each client of the company can independently select the required number of packages. At the moment, both tariffs are officially closed for new connections and have been archived. An overview of the characteristics is presented for those who still use these contracts.
Advantages and disadvantages
MTS Smart Unlimited has virtually no disadvantages and many advantages. The advantages of the proposal are:
- impressive packages for communication services for a low monthly fee;
- favorable prices for calls over allocated volumes;
- a set of pre-installed options includes GOOD'OK, which is provided free of charge for 60 days;
- 100% discount on “They called you!” – there is no charge for notifications;
- automatic connection to Vseti with unlimited traffic for social networks.
New subscribers are repelled by some restrictions on the use of the Internet and unlimited calls. The latter can only be made to MTS numbers. It’s convenient if your loved ones are also fans of the operator.
But the allocated traffic can only be spent from a mobile phone. If you put a SIM card in the modem or try to distribute the Internet from your phone, you will have to pay for access separately. It is also impossible to work with the package on sites that belong to file hosting services - when downloading torrents, the speed drops to a minimum.
Smart Unlimited 2021
The contract on the prepaid payment system was open for connection and transition from March 27, 2021 to January 21, 2021. It is not possible for new users to connect to the service. What are the characteristics of the offer:
- monthly subscription payment – 550 rubles;
- communication within the network and intercity - unlimited;
- package of minutes to all Russian networks – 350 min.;
- SMS package to local networks – 350 pcs.;
- outgoing calls to subscribers of other home operators (above the package) – 2 rubles;
- outgoing calls to other operators in other regions – 5 rubles;
- SMS all numbers in your home region (above the package) – 2 rubles;
- SMS all numbers to other regions – 3.8 rubles;
- SMS abroad – 8 rubles;
- traffic volume – 10 Gb.
1 Gb of traffic is connected automatically, after the provided package volume is completely used up. The fee is deducted as a separate payment and amounts to 150 rubles.
At the operator
You can connect to MTS Smart Unlimited at the contact center. Required:
- Dial 0890.
- Navigate the menu and transfer the call to a specialist.
- Wait for an answer. This may take up to 10 minutes, sometimes more.
- After connecting, please provide the reason for your call.
- A specialist will help you connect or send you instructions for activation.
The main advantage is that you don’t need to go to the website to find out the commands. But during busy hours, you will have to wait a long time for a specialist’s response. Therefore, it is faster and easier to activate it yourself.
Smart Unlimited 2021
What is attractive about the Smart Unlimited tariff is its main feature - unlimited outgoing calls and traffic, which are valid throughout the Russian Federation. Connected subscribers may not limit their communication, but under one condition: this is intranet communication. More details about services and tariffs:
Daily subscription fee – 19 rubles.
- communication within the network at the connection point and area - unlimited;
- intranet calls (above the package) – unlimited;
- package minutes to the entire Russian Federation – 200 minutes;
- package SMS all networks at home – 200 pcs.;
- communication with subscribers of other home operators (above the package) – 2 rubles;
- calls to numbers of other operators outside the region – 5 rubles;
- SMS all networks at home (above the package) – 1.5 rubles;
- SMS all networks outside the region – 3.8 rubles;
- SMS abroad – 5.25 rubles;
- Traffic is unlimited.
The contract has restrictions on the provision of file-sharing networks, and is also not intended for use in modems. If the subscriber uses a SIM card with the option enabled in the modem, access to the network is limited.
Traffic volumes, minutes and SMS
We'll tell you about the tariff in detail. The Smart Unlimited tariff consists of several limited service packages.
- A package that includes 10 GB of Internet traffic for a month.
- A package consisting of 350 minutes of calls to any Russian numbers.
- Pack of 350 local SMS messages.
- Unlimited number of calls to all MTS numbers in Russia.
It should be noted that the service for unlimited calls to MTS Russia starts working only if the entire 350-minute package has been used up. In other words, when making calls to MTS Russia, you also spend your primary package of minutes from your phone.
This tariff for MTS will allow you to use the Internet while moving throughout Russia, regardless of the region where you connect to the tariff plan.
After the user has used up the main limit, he can take advantage of additional packages of 1 GB each, which will be provided to him automatically. Additional Internet packages are provided on “Unlimited” no more than 15 times a month, that is, the tariff plan implies only 15 additional GB.
Then the subscriber will have the opportunity to use the “Turbo Button” service. You can manage the connection and disconnection of additional traffic packages yourself. The “Turbo Button” option is also available for use if the main package has expired, and the user has disabled the connection of additional packages independently.
The rest of the traffic on MTS, minutes and SMS that were not used in the current month will be transferred to the next one. (You can read more about transferring balances here) But there are also restrictions on the volume of transferred packages: for the Internet no more than 10 GB, for minutes no more than 350 minutes, for SMS no more than 350 messages.

Roaming within Russia is included in the terms of each tariff plan. Tariffishe TP was specially created for comfortable communication when traveling around the Russian Federation, calls from abroad and does not contain any hidden fees. This cannot be said about the Smart Unlimited contract! The service was positioned with practical communication throughout the Russian Federation, however, when outside the region, a daily tariff of 15 rubles is debited from the phone balance when making calls.
Internet distribution is limited by the operator in all three tariff packages, but many active users of web resources still bypass this restriction using the classic method - TTL override. To which they immediately receive sanctions from the vigilant provider for exceeding the load on the network - the speed of Internet access decreases.
Using a special command
Those who are looking for how to connect Smart Unlimited to MTS for free should use a special USSD service command. It allows you to instantly change the tariff plan, and the only fee that will be debited from your mobile balance will be the amount required to cover the monthly cost of the connected tariff.
To connect to the desired tariff plan, subscribers will have to dial the combination *111*3888*1# on their cell phone and press the dial button. After which the conditions will change automatically. To verify this, you should use the USSD request *111*59# and get information about the currently connected tariff plan and activated options and services.
How to connect and disconnect
A convenient and quick way to connect, disconnect and control all existing options in your personal account. Registration of a new user takes place on the official website of the operator, using an original SIM card. Many smartphone owners activate all possible services according to tariffs in the My MTS mobile application.
The operator provides special short combinations with which subscribers send requests to connect to a particular option. Activation of these tariff packages is free when using all connection methods. The only condition is to immediately top up your phone balance with the required amount equal to the subscription payment; the first withdrawal of payment occurs immediately after connecting the options.

A profitable, effective and practical tariff plan is what MTS network users are looking for today. There are often cases when initially a service was profitable and convenient, but over time it becomes completely unprofitable to use. This opinion is shared by many customers; for such picky subscribers, the Mobile Telesystems operator tries to periodically update package tariff lines. “Smart Unlimited”, two years ago, was a fairly practical service, which was replaced by a much larger contract under the new name “Tariffishche”.
