- by sending an SMS to number 111 with the text 2113 .
The service is activated free of charge, but 6.50 rubles will be debited from the subscriber’s account daily.
On Beeline
The company is one of the four largest telecom operators in the Russian Federation. The SON service is provided free of charge and is usually activated automatically after installing a SIM card. If this does not happen, you can connect it:
- dialing from the phone 067409061;
- USSD command «*110*061#».
As a result, the subscriber will see who is calling him, even if the caller does it incognito.
To MegaFon
This telecom operator also provides such a service, which can even bypass the anti-identifier. SON works effectively within a home network, but if a person calls from another operator, 100% detection is not guaranteed.
Methods for connecting to the service:
- USSD command «*502#»;
- send an SMS to number 5502 , without text (blank). You will receive a response message asking you to confirm the connection to the service - just follow the instructions.
The cost of connection is free, but every month 1,500 rubles will be debited from the account. If there is no money on your balance, the service will automatically turn off.
On Tele2
The operator calls this . It works on all tariffs, and to activate it, just dial the USSD command «*210*1#».
Terms of use:
- 6 rubles per day;
- the first connection is free, subsequent ones – 100 rubles;
- prices depend on the region, so it is better to check this information on the operator’s hotline.
To disable SON, enter the command «*210*0#».
Automatic Caller ID or Caller ID is implemented on all SIM cards and is provided completely free of charge. Many subscribers don’t even think about the fact that this function may be missing or not working. But if a failure does occur, then you can restore functionality using the USSD command *110*061# or by calling the number 067409061. The operator does not indicate commands to disable it, since without a caller ID the user will not be able to see the name of the person who called him or create phone book, set individual ringtones, photos, etc.

Many people don’t even understand why they should hide it, because they have nothing to worry about. But there are different situations in life, and sometimes it is necessary. Through search engines
To check a number you don’t know, just enter it in a Yandex or Google search - you’ll get the information instantly. As a rule, companies and firms call and impose something, let’s say a “profitable” product. Nobody likes such people, and their contacts quickly spread across the Internet so that other users remain vigilant.
Punching a number through search engines
The easiest way to determine who called from an unfamiliar number is to run it through search engines. This check will take literally a minute, but you will often be able to find out which organization or company the number belongs to.
Most often, such a quick check is enough to identify the number. Since in most cases banks call from unfamiliar numbers or offer offers, they are identified on the very first page of the search results.
To effectively get a phone number into Google or Yandex, it is recommended to enter it in different formats. Here are the formats you should definitely check:

Punch the number using at least the first two formats. During testing, we searched for two editorial staff numbers in search engines. In the first case, it was possible to find out additional information about the number when searching in the format 79xxxxxxxxx, in the second - in the format 89xxxxxxxxx.
Checking the number in various formats should not be neglected. A certain number format may appear on various sites, including those that store information about a person in clear text.
Who calls from hidden numbers
As is clear from the article, keeping contact information secret is not a problem. Many users, seeing “Number hidden” on the screen, are in no hurry to pick up the phone. Actions are prudent, but not always justified.
Typically, the hiding service is used by companies that use purchased databases of potential customer numbers. They need this to maintain confidentiality. And no one will call back, because the number is unknown. Often, microfinance organizations use secret numbers to put pressure on the debtor, as well as scammers who want to offer something profitable under the guise of the same Sberbank.
Why is the number not defined?
If the number is hidden on an incoming call, there may be several reasons why this happened:
- The “Hide number” function is enabled in the caller’s phone settings. Some modern smartphones have this menu item in the settings. If this setting is enabled, the caller will not see your phone during a call. This is not guaranteed.
- The caller's CTN is in international roaming. If you are calling from international roaming, the CTN may not be detected or may appear as a dialing number. This is due to the fact that a roaming call goes through different switchboards of the international and domestic operator. At some point it may become distorted or not be displayed at all.
- The basic “Identifier” option on the SIM card is not activated. If disabled in the SIM card management section on the device, all calls will be received with the “Undefined” status. For successful detection, the option must be active.
- Caller activated - a paid service provided by each operator. Any provider guarantees that the service will only work in its own network, that is, if a Tele2 user has activated AntiAON, it is guaranteed that its CTN will be closed only to the Tele2 subscriber base. It may be open to other subscribers. However, as practice shows, this does not happen

Unfamiliar numbers - pick up or not
“ I don’t take calls from unknown numbers and don’t worry ,” is a very popular position. And this is really what you should do if you cannot right here and now determine who owns the number using one of the methods described above.
But it’s better to just always be fully armed, it’s elementary. Install caller ID on your smartphone, bookmark the number dialing service, register for Viber and WhatsApp even if you don’t plan to use them. A few steps, and now you have at hand a complete set of tools for punching any number. A very advanced set that allows you to see even a photo of the caller!
