The management of the mobile operator UMS answered questions asked by Gazeta.uz readers as part of a direct line held on our website. were interested in why, in conditions when Uztelecom regularly reduces tariffs for providers and mobile operators, prices for the Internet for users remain at the same level. Are prices expected to decrease for the Internet in general and for regular packages in particular?
— We highly appreciate the efforts of Uzbektelecom JSC to develop the telecommunications market of the republic. The downward price trend affects the company's long-term plans.
At the same time, I note that renting an Internet channel is far from the only expense item for a mobile operator. The cost of services is set taking into account the total costs of their provision. The issue of pricing cannot be considered separately from the total costs of constant modernization of telecommunications equipment and maintaining the infrastructure in high efficiency mode. Each new level-up of a company, be it the deployment of 4G networks or a technological update of the transport network, has its price. But these investments provide the most important result for us - the satisfaction of end users.
Our products are very beneficial for active consumption. For example, a 5000 MB package costing $35 sets a relatively low price per megabyte - $0.007. Select the required volume of traffic, compare the cost, evaluate the quality - and the advantages of UMS will become obvious.
With each new tariff, we strive to make the Internet more accessible, since we set ourselves the goal of developing the consumption of data services in Uzbekistan. Very soon we will offer new conditions for using Internet packages, which should please subscribers.
G'ulom Egamberdiyev Ildar Aitov asked about the prospects for introducing a separate (zero) tariff for visiting sites in the

- Thanks for the question! Although the specifics and conditions for the provision of mobile and wired Internet differ significantly, UMS, following the expectations of subscribers, is considering the possibility of launching preferential access to resources in the TAS-IX zone.

— I would like to note that UMS offers subscribers mainly package tariffs, which already include a certain amount of traffic. In order for the subscriber to experience the economic benefit, you need to choose a tariff plan taking into account your monthly usage profile. Separate Internet packages are a useful addition to the tariff. The smallest offer in the current line is 300 MB, optimal for social networks and surfing. But soon we will offer a new solution that will certainly find its audience.

— For active Internet users, I can recommend the “Ultra” tariff plan, which includes 1500 MB of traffic. Those who like to watch movies, stream videos, and play online games benefit from additional Internet packages: in the UMS line - from 300 MB to 10,000 MB. There are also offers for lovers of night Internet surfing: unique night Internet packages valid for one month and night unlimited Internet. The “OnNet” option is perfect for enthusiastic users of the global network - every month the subscriber receives a once-selected package of megabytes with a 5% discount, while unused traffic is transferred to the next month. This way, you don’t have to worry about the limit - the Internet is always with you.
Rustamkhodja Mirkhaydarov, Azamat Matkarimov, Shohruh S., Lazik Solmetov, Erkin Makhammatov were interested in the purpose of charging a subscription fee for the use of “beautiful numbers”.
— An initial one-time payment is made for the service of choosing a number of a special category, and a daily subscription fee is charged for using the number, just as many services have connection costs and subscription fees. At the same time, the subscription fee is low compared to the cost of choosing a number. For example, when choosing a Bronze category number, the subscription fee is $0.05 per day - no more than 150 soums. O is an exclusive image offer, and its quantity is limited due to objective reasons.

and Emil Yambikov: “Is it possible to make a tariff so that there are more MB than minutes? And vice versa, is the tariff for people who don’t use the Internet at all?”
— Each company has its own strategy, which serves as a guide when creating new offers. UMS has chosen a data operator strategy to meet the rapidly growing information needs of subscribers. Therefore, Internet packages are included in each of our tariffs as an incentive to develop demand for data transfer. Even if the subscriber does not use traffic, the conditions of our plans remain favorable. For example, the Optima tariff includes 250 minutes to all networks with a monthly fee of $5. This is $0.02 per minute of call, a competitive price on the market. The “Super Optima” tariff gives the subscriber 700 minutes for $8 - a little more than $0.01 per minute, and 350 MB of traffic is provided additionally.
Regarding the number of megabytes greater than minutes, I repeat - if the tariff does not fully cover the need for the Internet, additional packages can be purchased on favorable terms with the “OnNet” option.

Moreover, both dealers and our own offices have the ability to connect to numbering capacity from a common pool. Usually it is not possible to find the number you are interested in due to its actual sale at the time of contact. Each release of a new prefix stimulates the interest of subscribers who want to connect to a specific number, so extraordinary free but interesting combinations of numbers are very quickly put into circulation. I recommend that when new prefixes for the numbers you are interested in are released, you promptly contact the nearest UMS offices and commercial representative offices, without waiting for the opportunity to visit the Service Center, since a number booking service is not planned.
