The account detail presented to each MTS LLC subscriber is a request to receive all outgoing and incoming transactions that were carried out on the mobile account over time, starting from the previous month. Today the company provides a full analysis of calls, SMS and MMS messages, and used Internet traffic.
To get information about calls from your MTS phone, you can:
- Contact the nearest operator's office with your passport
- Use the electronic assistant service from your phone using the command *111#
- Call the MTS operator at contact number 0890
If you want to know how to make a printout of calls to MTS, we strongly recommend that you use the information from the x-tarif.ru portal. On our website you can find many useful materials that will help you resolve issues related to mobile operators.

Description of the “Who’s calling?” option
This service will show the subscriber who is calling him, even if the number is not in the phone book. When called, the full name and scope of the company will be displayed on the screen. In addition, you will see a warning about a spam call here. Such information is taken from a special database where organizations detected in intrusive calls are entered.
Service cost
- When connecting for the first time, the subscriber can use the service for free for a week.
- Starting from the 8th day, the subscription fee will be 1 ruble per day.
- There is no grace period for reconnection.
Thanks to this option, the subscriber can make a timely decision as to whether to answer the call or not. This will help save time, and in some cases, save your nerves.
It is worth considering that you do not need to install any additional applications. This service operates at the network level and identifies numbers using special MTS Big Data technology.
Hidden number - what does it mean?
Subscribers of almost all mobile operators have the opportunity to see who is calling them before picking up the phone. This option is provided free of charge. The exception is the archived Tele2 tariffs, which prohibit the identification of numbers in the event of a negative balance. However, often when there is an incoming call, the notification “The number cannot be identified” is displayed on the smartphone display. This means that the caller has activated the Caller ID option to remain anonymous.
Hidden numbers are used not only by scammers, but also by various companies that are engaged in analytics, monitoring and promotion of their products. Much less often, telephone hooligans and pranksters indulge in incognito mode. It’s okay if the call was disturbed only once, but it happens that calls from hidden numbers are received late at night, early in the morning or on weekends. It is unlikely that anyone will like such an invasion of personal space. Fortunately, each operator has its own ways of identifying hidden numbers.
How to connect
You can connect a new service from the MTS operator in several ways:
- Dial *240# and call button. After a few seconds, an SMS message will be sent to your phone confirming that the service has been successfully activated;
- To connect, you can use your personal account. To do this, you need to log in to the system, then select the one you need from the list of all available programs and move the slider to the active position;
- The connection can also be made in the mobile application. To do this, log in and move the slider opposite the service to the active position.
If for some reason you cannot connect the option. It is recommended to call the hotline.
Mobile operators of Russia
In 2021, according to Rossvyaz, more than 80 companies are registered that provide cellular communication services in Russia. Many cellular operators in Russia are public and provide communication services to the population on a commercial basis. Any citizen can become their client. Small operators were created exclusively to provide cellular communications between employees of government organizations and institutions. An ordinary citizen cannot become their client.
There are four major cellular operators: MTS (Mobile TeleSystems), Beeline (Vympel-Communications), Megafon, Tele2 (T2-Mobile). They have the largest number of subscribers and operate in all regions of the country (Tele2 operates in most regions). In some regions of the country, coverage is provided by renting a network of local operators. In the 2000s, the name “Big Three” (MTS + Beeline + Megafon) was popular; in recent years, the concept of “Big Four”, which included Tele2, has been used more often.
Currently, the owner of Tele2 Russia is Rostelecom.
Other cellular companies have a much smaller customer base and coverage area in the Russian Federation. Among them are the famous SberMobile, Rostelecom, Yota. The latter was previously known as an Internet provider with a 4G network in Moscow, but since 2014 it has been actively advertised as a new cellular player. In October 2013, MegaFon completely acquired Scartel/Yota, which holds 4G/LTE licenses. Since September 2021, Yaroslavl-GSM JSC has been merged with MegaFon PJSC.
At the end of 2021, a new cellular operator Tinkoff Mobile was added. The operator was created in partnership with Tele2: it works as a virtual operator and uses the technical equipment of Tele2. The operator is related to Tinkoff Bank and is actively advertised by it.
In 2021, SberMobile, a mobile operator from Sberbank, launched. Licenses were received back in 2021, in fact, advertising began in 2021, the operator’s services became available to any Russian.

In Crimea, cellular communication services were provided by Ukrainian operators, whose mobile numbers corresponded to the Ukrainian numbering system (+380 ХХХ ХХХ ХХ ХХ). After the annexation of Crimea to Russia, there were no technical capabilities to quickly switch to Russian operators and switch to the +79xx number format. Organizational and legal issues also arose. The transition process took a long time, new codes were allocated. Until now, in the Crimea, a number of services of cellular operators are provided with restrictions.
In the early to mid-2000s, there was an active attraction of new numbers due to the rapid emergence of new subscribers. Operators' ranges were expanded and new codes and series of codes were issued. Now there is an increase in the number of registered numbers among subscribers due to the use of SIM cards in various devices - phones, smartphones, tablets, routers. Up to 3-5 registered numbers per subscriber is the norm. Thus, the trend of increasing the number of numbers remains, so new numbers and codes are used.
How to disable
If for some reason this service turns out to be unclaimed, then it can always be disabled. There are several ways to do this.
- Dial *241# and press the call button. The deactivation notification will arrive in a few seconds;
- Disable through your personal account by moving the slider to the inactive position;
- Use the MTS branded mobile application, here the service is deactivated in the same way as a personal account.
This option works on most mobile devices. It does not require an Internet connection or access to the phone book. Organization numbers are determined at the network level.
Some models do not support receiving notifications. In this case, the operator cannot help.
“MTS Who’s Calling” - version for MTS subscribers
Most recently, the operator, in collaboration with the Kaspersky laboratory, has developed a special version for its subscribers with a user-friendly interface and accurate spam detection. It can be installed on Android or iOS, including together with Who Calls, but only one of the two will work - you can choose which one you want. To do this, go to Settings - Phone - Call blocking and identification and check the box for the application you want to use. On Android phones, you only need to select one application and delete the second one.
Additional terms
When connecting for the first time, the grace period is 7 days. If the subscriber disables the option during this period of time, the free period will not be provided again. The grace period means a 100% discount on the service.
It is worth considering that this service is incompatible with a number of other services provided by the MTS operator. So it is not available on the “Connect”, “Online”, “Tablet”, “Smart Device”, “MTS Auto”, “Auto Secretary”, MTS iPad, IoT, Cloud, 8-800 and their various modifications tariff plans. It is not possible to connect simultaneously with the “Internet calls” option.

Summary
“MTS Who's Calling” is an application created by the MTS operator and Kaspersky Lab to protect subscribers from intrusive telephone spam and cold calls, of which there have been too many recently.
It works as a smart identifier, showing whether the number belongs to a particular organization. Then the subscriber can decide whether to pick up the phone.
The application in Moscow works for iPhone and Android owners, there is a free version and a paid version with advanced functionality for 129 rubles. The website reports that it is operating in pilot mode, the deadline is set at least until the end of March 2021.
Service cost
Owners of Apple phones with the iOS operating system can take advantage of a one-week trial period, and then purchase a multifunctional account for 129 rubles and pay this amount monthly.
Android users won't count on the promotion above, but they'll definitely be happy with the low price. Purchasing a premium recording will cost only 99 rubles.
The obvious conclusion is the fact that MTS has provided people with the opportunity to freely choose between simple and advanced functionality, which deserves praise.
Definition difficulties
Since 2014, the so-called “mobile slavery” has been abolished, that is, subscribers have the opportunity to switch from one operator to another while maintaining their number and thereby choose the best conditions for themselves without losing their mobile number.
All over the world this technology is called MNP - mobile number portability. On the one hand, subscribers have the freedom to choose an operator and tariffs, on the other hand, such a transition leads to some inconveniences.
Firstly, the tariff systems of operators have undergone changes, because cheap calls within the network have lost their meaning - how can you find out which subscribers from your contact list have a real Megafon or MTS? After all, even if they have prefixes 927 or 917, they could switch to other operators via MNP.
Check every contact on special sites and platforms? Although the services are free, they take a lot of time. That is why cellular providers have introduced packages of minutes in their tariffs, which are spent equally on any operator.
Secondly, it became impossible to identify the caller “by eye” - the prefix numbers lost their precise link to the operator and the subject of the Russian Federation. But this factor will not be decisive, since the entire tariff policy is now aimed at abolishing the definition of a subscriber on the basis of “friend or foe”.
Mobile Internet
Cellular Internet in Crimea is not yet well developed, mainly 2 G, which is very slow.
3G connection is present only in large cities: Alushta, Evpatoria, Bakhchisarai, Feodosia.
4 G – only in Yalta, Sevastopol, Simferopol.
Almost all cell towers in Crimea belong to the Win Mobile operator. The company offers 4 tariffs , prices for which must be clarified additionally upon arrival, as they may change.
Also in Crimea there is a mobile operator Volna Mobile, it has 5 tariffs. And the smallest operator , Sevmobile, operates in Balaklava and Sevastopol .
