Almost every person has encountered emergency situations in their life. Depending on the incident, it is sometimes necessary to call specialists from various services, for example, the police, ambulance, rescuers, fire or gas service. And in order not to frantically look for a phone number in a critical situation, it is recommended to take care of this in advance.
This article describes how to call the gas service to mobile subscribers of different operators, as well as from a landline phone.
How to call emergency services from a mobile phone
The main and universal emergency number is 112.
You can call it free of charge from any device throughout Russia. You can call this number from your home and mobile device.
Mobile operators also have their own additional numbers and codes through which you can contact emergency services.
Please note: you can only call emergency services using a three-digit number from a mobile phone; two-digit numbers are not supported by GSM standards. Therefore, you will not be able to reach the usual numbers “01”, “02”, “03 and “04” from a mobile device.
From mobile devices you can call using the city format in this way: “+78120 + rescue code*”. Please note that such a call from a mobile phone will be paid and will be counted according to the tariffs for long-distance calls.

Actions before firefighters arrive
To minimize the danger to yourself and others from a possible fire, you should draw up a brief reminder of the necessary actions if it occurs.
What to do:
- The very first and most important thing is to immediately call the fire brigade;
- notify people who are at risk; a fire occurred at work - inform the director responsible for the site;
- if possible, turn off gas, electricity and stop units that may contribute to the spread of fire;
- start yourself and involve others in evacuating to a safe place; if there is a fire in a building, then you need to act according to the evacuation plan;
- Having assessed the situation, you can try to extinguish the fire yourself using available means while it is at an early stage;
- organize a meeting of firefighters so that they do not waste time searching for access roads and water sources.
Actions in case of fire.
Important. If you see that you are not able to cope with the fire yourself, immediately leave the room or area of the fire and help others get out.
First of all, children, elderly people and disabled people should leave a dangerous place. First of all, those who are on the upper floors and in rooms where there is an increased risk of suffering from fire are also evacuated.
Do not try to leave the room using tied sheets, through drains, and do not jump down under any circumstances. You can evacuate using external stationary fire escapes, retractable and attached ones, as well as balconies.
Attention. Beware of heavily smoky corridors and staircases, the smoke is very toxic. It is prohibited to use the elevator during a fire.
If all exits are smoked or cut off by fire, then the safest solution is to be located indoors. Close the doors and try to plug any cracks with wet rags to keep out the smoke. Attract the attention of passersby - go out onto the balcony or go to the window.
How to call an ambulance from a mobile phone
It will not be possible to call an ambulance through the two-digit number “03” from a mobile phone, since modern standards allow calls only from three-digit numbers.
To reach an ambulance you will need to add “one” to the number “03” that everyone is used to. Therefore, you can reach an ambulance by dialing the short number “103”.
It is important to know: for all mobile operators, the single number for ambulance is “103”.
Also, each operator has its own additional short numbers.
Ambulance number with MTS, Beeline, Tele2
MTS and Beeline subscribers can also call “030”. The mobile operator Tele2 also connects to an ambulance by calling “030” or by dialing “03*”. There is also the number “112” - a unified rescue service. Once you reach this service, you will be connected to an ambulance operator.
What should I say?
In order for the help of firefighters to be truly urgent and effective, it is necessary to follow a certain order of information provided to the operator on duty. Therefore, before dialing the fire department, it is better to think in advance what information you will provide. The questions asked by the dispatcher in a strict order allow you to fill out the order form required to call the fire service.
Procedure for reporting information
- The exact address of the fire or fire. He should be called first, because if the connection is suddenly interrupted, the firefighters will already know where their help is needed.
- Place where the fire was discovered: apartment, private house, garage, etc.
- Object that burns: furniture, TV, car.
- Additional information: entrance number, number of floors in the building, threat to human life, etc.
- Last name and first name of the caller, his phone number. Upon arrival, the fire department will search for whoever called. This is especially true when the fire is raging and you are unable to leave the building yourself.
You should speak as calmly, clearly and intelligibly as possible. Don't worry - after you provided the address of the fire, the firefighters have already left, and additional information is transmitted to them via radio. According to the rules, you need to wait until the dispatcher finishes the call first, and then hang up. Now you should leave the house to meet the firefighters. Think about where the equipment can quickly and conveniently drive up, and show the car the way.
By following these rules for calling the fire department, you can protect lives and save your property.
How to call an ambulance from a mobile phone in the regions
The rules for connecting to help services are the same throughout the Russian Federation.
If you need to call an ambulance from regional centers or villages across Russia, you will also need to enter the ambulance number “103” or the unified rescue service “112”.
The call is free even with a zero balance.
Take note: the connection with the operator is made automatically according to the subscriber’s location, and sometimes confusion can occur: if the call comes from a place close to the borders of other regions, then the connection may arise with the rescue service of another territory.
In this situation, there is no need to panic, but dictate to the operator your exact location, after which he will redirect you to the operator of the rescue service in your area.
What are the penalties for telephone hooliganism?
Any fake call that extends to the activities of special services, including the fire department, can lead to significant troubles for the caller. In accordance with Art. 19.13 of the Code of Administrative Offenses, for telephone hooliganism they will be subject to administrative liability, with a fine of 1 to 1.5 thousand rubles. And if at the same time he threatened that the object was mined, then this refers to an offense for which one can get up to five years, in accordance with Art. 87 CC.
For those who imagine a fire and are under 16 years of age, as well as mischievous people who are under 14 years of age, in accordance with current legislation, a form has been established for registration under the punishment of minors. In addition, their parents are subject to administrative liability, with a statement of improper educational work and failure to fulfill their parental functions.

“There are only experts around”
Every fire we - dispatchers and radiotelephone operators - live together with the firefighters. And just like them, we are subject to attacks from “experts”. They can call and say: “The whole house is on fire here - I told you about it, but you only sent one car! They can’t cope, send three more!” And they don’t stop there, they go to “help” the firefighting guys...
There are also calls with gratitude, but much less often. It’s good if 1 out of 10 reviews is positive, the rest - you know what. In general, sometimes you hear so many unpleasant things about yourself in a day! At first it is difficult, but with experience comes the ability to perceive only the information that is important. We ignore the rest.

Infographics: where to call in various emergency situations.
The main thing is to hear the address
The most important thing we need to hear from the caller is the address
.
The girl dispatchers, when accepting a call, say all the information out loud and loudly. As soon as they named the address and what exactly was burning
, I could immediately send firefighters there. Thanks to this, only a few seconds pass between the message from witnesses and the departure of cars. The dispatcher continues the conversation to find out all the details, and I, based on his words, make a decision about how many crews will go and what other equipment is needed.
Sometimes people get confused when they call and cannot provide the necessary information. It happens that they don’t even know the address - it’s a foreign area, there’s no sign on the house. Then we begin to talk to the person, calm him down, and ask him to tell him what he sees in front of him. And we ourselves open the map and try to calculate it, to get the person to remember the landmarks. When he realizes that he is being heard, he comes out of his stupor and gives the necessary information.
We do not always take the caller's details. If he wants, he says, if he doesn’t want, we don’t insist. But we explain that sometimes we need to clarify something, to understand whether we are going there. The phone is detected automatically, but we cannot find out the location, there is no such equipment.

False calls
Now is the fire danger period, so about 1000 calls can be received per day. About half of all fire reports turn out to be false. But malicious jokes - and they are most often made by children - are no more than 15-25 per day. The rest of the “false” calls are from our vigilant population: steam was seen from the basement, something burned on the neighbor’s stove, the car overheated on the road...
It is surprising when you hear that a person did not report a fire, because “suddenly later they will be punished or forced to pay for a false call.” Do not do it this way! If you see something suspicious, it's always better to call. Let the firefighters check, because that's what we exist for.
