Very often, we need to call some city in Belarus. But often we don’t know what code we need to dial to get through. Of course, now almost everyone has a mobile phone and it may seem that these dialing codes are useless. But that's not true. You don’t call a state-owned enterprise on a mobile phone. Therefore, we decided to post data on telephone codes of Belarusian cities in the “advice and communication” section. Read all the codes and an example of the dialing order in this publication.

The procedure for dialing, for example, the city of Minsk from Belarus: 8 - 017 xxxxxxx, that is, access to intercity 8, then the city code indicated below, starting with 0, then the number in Minsk. The procedure for dialing the city of Minsk from other countries: +375 17 xxxxxxx, that is, the country code (Belarus) 375, then the city code indicated below, without 0, then the subscriber number. Below is a diagram: city of Belarus - telephone city code, by region of the republic.

What to do if they call from a number starting with code 375

When you receive a call from this number, we recommend that you pick up the phone and find out what issue you are being bothered about. Telephone scammers who massively use IP telephony usually bypass Belarusian numbers with the 375 code. They prefer numbers from Western Europe and Southeast Asia.

If the call you receive is of an advertising nature (you are offered to purchase any goods or services, invest money in dubious enterprises, etc.), then refuse the caller. In the future, ignore calls from this number. If you continue to receive annoying calls starting with +375, it would be wise to blacklist this number. This will save your time for solving other, more important tasks.

Cost of calls to Belarus

Although Belarus is Russia's closest neighbor, calls there are quite expensive. If you do not connect additional services, then a minute with all major Russian operators costs about 35 rubles.

For more profitable calls, you need to connect international call services to CIS countries. The cheapest calls to Belarus to any operator are from MTS. When connected, a minute will cost 26 rubles. In this case, a monthly fee of 78 rubles is charged. The service for cheap calls to Belarus can be easily activated by dialing the USSD command * 111 * 902# on your phone or in your personal account.

Features of rooms in Belarus

To call a cellular subscriber living in Belarus or a landline phone, you need to dial the numbers +375, which is a code. After this, the necessary prefixes that relate to a particular company are dialed.

When dialing from abroad, all telephones in the republic have 12 digits. You can buy a starter package in the country only if you have a passport. People without registration have access to a limited package of communication services, and not at the most favorable rates.

In Belarus, you can top up your balance in different ways. This can be done in a company store, at a post office, in various stores, at a bank, terminal and ATM. Replenishment is available through the mobile application and online banking.

Phone numbers +375 - whose code and who can call?

Who can call subscribers in Russia from phone numbers with the code +375?

Unknown numbers can raise suspicions, especially if they keep calling persistently. Before answering a call, you need to figure out whether the number poses a threat.

You can determine who called from a phone number with the +375 code using user reviews or caller ID. However, these methods do not completely guarantee safety. There are technologies that allow you to make calls from any phone, even without purchasing SIM cards. In this case, identifying the owner is much more difficult.

Welcome codes

The Velcom network uses two zone inputs 29 and 44. If there is 29 ahead, then the numbers 1,3,6 or 9 are dialed. For 44 it is the number 7.

Dialing without first entering the area code is only available for calls within the network. In this case, just dial the 7-digit VELCOM subscriber number.

Outgoing calls to clients of other operators operating in the republic should also be made in an international format.

  • To call from a VELCOM network mobile phone to any other city in the world (outside Belarus), you should dial + - country code - city prefix (or mobile network) - the number itself.
  • To call from abroad from a Velcom network mobile phone to a fixed network number in the republic, you need to dial +375 - the city prefix - the number itself.

Calls are charged according to the conditions stipulated in the contract. Some tariff plans provide free minutes for calls abroad and to other mobile operators.

MTS Belarus codes

MTS is the most popular in the republic. About 5.5 million people use its services, which is more than 46% of the entire cellular communications market. This company provides communication services of the 4th generation standard (LTE).

This operator has two zonal inputs 29 and 33. It is noteworthy that the prefix 29 is also used by Velcom. In this case, when identifying a phone, you need to look at the value of the intrazone code. For 29, these are the numbers 2,5,7 and 8. For numbers that start with 33, these are the numbers 3,6 and 9.
