Dialing Rules

To call Armenia from a Russian number, you can use two dialing formats - national and international. Which one to use depends on what phone you are making the call from - landline or mobile.

However, regardless of the dialing format, you must specify the international country code. For Armenia, it consists of three digits - 374, and without using it you will not be able to call an Armenian number if the call is made from outside Armenia.

We tell you in detail about the use of national and international dialing formats when calling to Armenia from Russia.

If you dial a number from a landline phone, then you need to use the code 8 10 before the phone number to access an international line.

Please note that depending on your telephony provider, after eight you may need to wait for a continuous dial tone.

Next, you need to enter the country code 374, the city code or mobile (cellular) operator, as well as the subscriber’s telephone number. The entire number, starting with the country code, consists of eleven digits - the number of digits of the subscriber number can consist of seven or six.

But if you make a call from a Russian mobile phone, you can also use the international dialing format. To do this, before the country code, to access the international line, you must enter the + sign. To do this, press and hold the 0 key until the plus sign appears on the screen.

Please note that when making a call from a mobile number of any Russian operator, you can only use the national format while in Russia. If you connect to the network while roaming, then to establish a connection with the desired Armenian number, you must use only the international dialing format. The charging rules do not depend on the dialing format used.

Also, the option “Profitable calls to other countries” is available on all package tariffs of the operator. It is provided for use at no additional charge, and allows you to call Armenian MTS numbers for seven rubles per minute.

You can also use the special “Guest” tariff, which has no mandatory payments. On it, the first thirty minutes a day to all VIVA-MTS numbers will be three rubles per minute, and after using this package, five rubles.

For Beeline subscribers, reduced prices for calls are available only on package tariffs, as well as on the “Communication Z” tariff plan. Thus, the free “Welcome” option is activated automatically on package tariffs and “Communication Z”. The option allows you to make calls to Armenian Beeline for 3.5 rubles per minute.
