When they talk about the tariff line of the Tele2 operator, they usually name only plans from the “My” series: My Conversation, My Online, Everywhere Online and so on. However, the operator also has a cheaper offer - the Social tariff, which is available to pensioners, people with disabilities and military personnel. Connection to the Social tariff is possible only if you provide the appropriate documents. We’ll talk more about the terms of this tariff plan, its cost and connection in this article.
More details about the tariff
The “Social” tariff plan is designed specifically for people who are eligible to receive social assistance.
People with certain benefits can subscribe to the tariff:
- Pensioners;
- Disabled people;
- Military personnel.
The offer does not apply to low-income families, students, the unemployed and other socially vulnerable groups.
When connecting to the “Social” tariff, the subscriber must provide documents confirming his benefits. Otherwise, the connection will be denied.
What happens if you don't use a SIM card?
In the event that the subscriber does not perform actions that entail the debiting of funds for services provided, for a consecutive period of 120 days, without a break that interrupts the specified period, and funds are not credited to the subscriber’s personal account within the specified period (inactive mode), the subscriber’s personal account begins a daily subscription fee of 3 rubles will be charged, including VAT.
The debiting of the subscription fee ceases from the next day after the subscriber’s personal account reaches a zero balance or funds are credited to the subscriber’s personal account.
If the balance of the subscriber's personal account is equal to or below zero for 180 (one hundred and eighty) consecutive calendar days, the contract for the provision of communication services is considered terminated at the initiative of the subscriber.
What is included in the tariff
The “Social” tariff plan includes a minimum set of services:
- 100 minutes per month for any calls in your home region, as well as to Tele2 Russia numbers;
- Unlimited calls to Tele2 subscribers in the home region, without using up the basic package of minutes;
- 100 SMS messages to any numbers in your home region;
- 3 GB mobile Internet at maximum speed;
- Unlimited Internet on social networks VKontakte and Odnoklassniki;
- Unlimited text messages in TamTam, WhatsApp, Viber instant messengers;
- Unlimited traffic in the Yandex.Maps and Yandex.Navigator applications.
The tariff plan also includes free services “SOS package” and “We don’t block if there is a minus”.
Subscription fee in Moscow and the Moscow region is 150 rubles. per month. In the regions the tariff is cheaper. For example, in St. Petersburg it already costs 120 rubles. per month.
“SOS package”
“SOS package” is a free option that, starting from 2021, is built into all current Tele2 tariffs by default. “Social” is no exception.
It is needed so that you can always stay in touch, even if there are no funds on your balance and there is no way to replenish it now.
As part of the service, you can use the most necessary applications for free:
- WhatsApp;
- Yandex maps;
- Yandex.Navigator.
The option is activated automatically when the money on your balance runs out. On the “Social” tariff plan, the package will be valid for three days.
Pros and cons of TP "Social"
Positive features of the tariff:
- Maximum services with a minimum subscription fee;
- Unlimited instant messengers and social networks to save on calls and text communications;
- Valid throughout Russia.
Flaws:
- The tariff is unavailable for ordinary subscribers who do not need large volumes of services - it is designed for a limited number of people entitled to social benefits;
- Monthly subscription fee – on this TP a daily subscription fee would be acceptable;
- Intranet unlimited is valid only within the home region, and not throughout Russia.
The main disadvantage is that when located on the territory of the Amur and Astrakhan regions, the Republics of Sakha (Yakutia), Bashkortostan, Dagestan, Ingushetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Kalmykia, Karachay-Cherkessia, North Ossetia - Alania and Chechnya, on the territory of the Transbaikal, Khabarovsk and Stavropol Territories, as well as in the Nenets and Chukotka Autonomous Okrug for more than 30 days, the subscription fee increases by 100 rubles. When returning home, the monthly fee is reduced to its original value.
On the territory of Crimea and Sevastopol, standard special conditions of service apply, but incoming calls remain free.
“We don’t block when it’s minus”
On most tariff plans there is a rule - as soon as you go into the red, access to minutes, SMS and traffic is blocked until you top up your account. On Tele2 everything is different.
If you have paid a subscription fee according to the tariff and have not spent the entire volume of services intended for the month, you can use them with a negative balance.
With the “Do not block when minus” option, the subscriber retains access to the Internet, calls, messages and all unlimited options included in the tariff plan.
Additional paid services
The tariff plan also includes 2 services, which can be activated for an additional fee:
- Unlimited Internet abroad. It will be useful for those who travel outside the Russian Federation. The cost of the service after activation is 350 rubles per day (calculated only for the days on which the subscriber used the Internet). You can disable it using the combination *143*70#.
- Internet on the peninsula is for those who are planning a trip to Crimea. The cost of the service is 300 rubles per day. Disable via command *143*50#.
The cost of connecting services is 0 rubles. Debits from the subscriber's balance are made only after activation.
Individual settings
If the volume of services within the tariff is not enough for you, you can always increase it using additional options:
- Add 500 MB of internet for 50 rubles.
You can connect no more than five packages per month - that is, the standard amount of traffic can be increased by 2.5 GB. The command to connect is * 155 * 24 * 3 # , to disconnect - * 155 * 24 * 3 * 0 # . - Add 50 minutes for 50 rub.
You can add up to five packages per month - that is, no more than 250 minutes. The command to connect is * 155 * 24 * 1 # , to disconnect - * 155 * 24 * 1 * 0 # . - Add 100 SMS for 50 rub.
You can connect a maximum of 3 message packages per month - that is, you will receive 300 additional SMS. The command to connect is * 155 * 24 * 2 # , to disconnect - * 155 * 24 * 2 * 0 # .
An important nuance: all these packages are connected not once, but on an ongoing basis. At the beginning of a new billing period, they will be added to the standard content by default, which means the subscription fee will automatically increase.
If you need additional packages temporarily, do not forget to disable the service after adding traffic, minutes or SMS.
Which tariff to choose - “Social” or without subscription fee
The only tariff without a monthly fee is “Classic”. All local calls on it cost 2 rubles/min. If the duration of calls per month is less than 75 minutes (less than 2.5 minutes per day) and the subscriber does not use the Internet, it is more profitable for him to use “Classic”. For Internet users (and pensioners also use the Internet), it is more profitable to use “Social” - it offers 3 GB of Internet and unlimited for instant messengers and social networks.

For several years he worked in mobile phone stores of two large operators. I understand tariffs well and see all the pitfalls. I love gadgets, especially Android ones.
When the packages run out
After the packages of minutes, SMS and Internet are exhausted, the cost of services within the tariff will be as follows:
- Outgoing calls to any phones throughout the country - 1.95 rubles. in a minute;
- SMS messages to all Russian subscribers - 1.95 rubles. a piece;
- MMS messages to Russian numbers - 5.5 rubles. a piece.
When the Internet package is exhausted, 500 MB of traffic will be automatically connected to the number for 50 rubles. This happens within the “More” option. A total of up to 20 packets can be connected, after which access to the network is suspended.
If desired, the service can be disabled. Then you will not be able to use the Internet until the start of the new billing period.
Internet over the limit - conditions, cost
If the Internet traffic included in the Social package from Tele2 has run out, you can activate the “More” option. The cost of an additional 500 MB will be 50 rubles.
Terms of Use:
- 20 packages are available for activation per month;
- The fee is debited from the subscriber's account at the time of activation;
- When the maximum available number of packages is used, you will not be able to access the Internet.
To cancel the service, you need to dial the digital command *155*715*0# and the call key.
How to connect and disconnect
Previously, it was possible to activate the “Social” tariff in Tele2 communication stores, but now the connection is made only at Russian Post offices.
You cannot switch to Social with your existing Tele2 number - you can only buy a new SIM card with a preset tariff.
To buy a SIM card with the “Social” tariff, the subscriber must provide one of the following documents:
- Moskvich card or Moskvich social card;
- Social card of a resident of the Moscow region;
- Pensioner's ID;
- Certificate of pension assignment;
- Disabled person's certificate;
- Certificate of disability;
- Identity card of a Russian military personnel.
If you want to disable the “Social” tariff, switch to any other operator’s tariff plan in your personal account, by calling the hotline 611 or in a communication salon.
You can also terminate the contract for the provision of communication services with Tele2.
Personal opinion
I believe that this tariff is relatively favorable. There are a few minutes, and unlimited calls to local Tele2 numbers, and a little SMS, and a little Internet, and so on. If we exclude SMS, then the tariff is not so different from the public My Conversation tariff plan, except that the subscriber will spend a lot of time on social networks, which consume a lot of traffic. But in this case, you need to carefully read the terms of the “Unlimited” provided.

Fare restrictions
Tele2 has an important condition: one subscriber can use only one SIM card with the “Social” tariff.
If 2 or more SIMs with this tariff plan are registered for a number, on all numbers except the very first one, the tariff will be automatically replaced by “My Conversation”.
In addition, after connecting to the “Social” tariff plan, the operator can check the relevance and correctness of your social ID data.
If the information is incorrect, an SMS message will be sent to the subscriber’s number asking for the necessary documents.
If information is not provided within 3 days from the moment the message is sent, the tariff plan will automatically be changed to the “My Conversation” tariff.
Rules for connection
We have already told you how to activate the Tele2 “Social” tariff – let’s go through the important parameters that are worth knowing!
- Only one telephone number can be connected to one Tele2 tariff certificate;
- If the operator detects the connection of several mobile numbers to one document, all phones will be disconnected and transferred to other tariff plans (except for the first one connected);
- The operator has the right to check the correctness of the document data after connection;
- If the data is entered incorrectly or is deliberately false, you will be deprived of the opportunity to use benefits.
If the operator identifies possible inconsistencies when checking the details, you will receive an SMS notification. Within three days, you must provide supporting documents to the post office in order to resolve the issue - if you do not do this, you will be switched to the Tele2 “My Conversation” tariff by default.
Advantages and disadvantages
The “Social” tariff has many advantages:
- Budgeting. 150 rub. per month for Moscow and the Moscow region - this is very inexpensive.
- Optimal range of services. The tariff includes a good package of Internet traffic, unlimited within the Tele2 network in the home region, a sufficient number of minutes and SMS, as well as unlimited in social networks and instant messengers.
- Possibility of customization. If there are not enough minutes, traffic or SMS, you can always add more. True, the subscription fee will also increase.
- “SOS package” and “We don’t block when it’s minus.” You will be able to use connected packages even with a negative balance. And even if the packages run out, you will still not be left without communication and navigation.
There are only two disadvantages.
Firstly, the remaining packages are not carried over to the next month and expire at the end of the billing period, which is not very convenient.
Secondly, it is not entirely clear why you cannot switch to “Social” with an existing SIM card and connect to the tariff in the Tele2 communication salon. Buying a new SIM card at Russian Post offices can be inconvenient.
Cost of services on the Tele2 “Social” tariff after the end of the packages
Internet is paid in the amount of 100 rubles for each subsequent gigabyte. 1.95 RUB - price per minute of call.
Limitations and pitfalls of the Tele2 “Social” tariff
Only one card is issued per pensioner. The ability to share the Internet is not available in this service package. Prices for the tariff itself vary by region. Basically, the cost varies from 100 to 150 rubles. In Norilsk there are certain restrictions on the speed of Internet access.
If you don't pay the subscription fee
If at the time the subscription fee is charged, there is not enough money in the account, then the terms of the package change before replenishment. In particular, calls and Internet traffic become several times more expensive than in a monthly package.
