Since Rostelecom equipment is expensive, subscribers may be billed 3-5 thousand rubles and refuse to terminate the contract until you pay.

In some cases, you can agree that you will continue to pay for the set-top box or router in installments, but you will no longer use the services. The contract can be terminated, but only for services.

The company doesn’t care what you do next with the device from Rostelecom, because you initially decided to buy it and not take it for use.

  1. You rented a device.

In this case, the router or set-top box must be returned to Rostelecom. But! As with renting an apartment or car, the equipment must be returned in the same condition in which it was provided to you. There is also the need to return boxes and all accompanying packaging.

The rental conditions are such that you must return everything in the same condition in which you received it. This is especially true when free rent is included in the tariff.

If the device is damaged, the company decides that you have violated the terms and conditions, and is free to apply in this case whatever sanctions it deems necessary. There are cases when a subscriber has to pay for many months for a router that has not been working for a long time.
