In Russia, three companies stand out among mobile operators - MTS, Megafon, Beeline. They have the largest number of subscribers. The remaining mobile operators have significantly fewer clients and are represented only in certain regions of the Russian Federation. Thus, in Moscow, MTS switched from 495 to 985, Megafon - from 495 to 925. Thus, codes 925 and 985 currently duplicate direct Moscow numbers. Another change is related to the release by the operator of some codes and the transition to others. For example, the MTS operator in 2002 and 2003 switched from 902 to the now familiar 910, 912, 916.
