On what issues will support not be able to help?

Technical support staff do not provide advice on the services and tariffs of other mobile operators and do not resolve issues of fraud.

Most answers to questions can be found on the website. Contact center employees periodically remind citizens about the “Support” section. Here you need to select the appropriate section (Internet, television, mobile communications) and find the information you are interested in. Individual answers may be found in the Additional Information section.

If the user decides to refuse the company’s services, the contact center employees will invite him to contact the nearest branch of the company.

Addresses of legal entities service offices

In each of our company’s offices, legal entities can submit an application for connecting to the Internet, digital TV, mobile or landline communications, as well as pay for these services and reconcile finances.

MGTS sales and service centers for legal entities, commercial or budget, are located in the Arbatsky and Proletarsky districts, next to metro stations. A map with the location of the centers is shown below, opening hours from 9:00 to 18:00.

To coordinate work near the company’s equipment and technical approval of projects, a separate office has been allocated on Chernyakhovskogo Street, 18. Work with clients regarding maintenance and connection is not carried out here.

The service centers provide all the information you need about the company and provide competent advice if you have any questions.

Response time and specialist competence

The speed of response to a client's request depends on the method of communication. When using online chat, you can get an answer to your question almost immediately.

If a person calls the hotline, then you need to take into account the time of day. The speed of response depends on the workload of operators. Sometimes you have to wait 5–10 minutes. Moreover, you need to take into account the operating time of the answering machine. It is triggered before the subscriber connects to the operator. Users are offered digital combinations that can be used to get answers to possible questions.

Technical customer support has a multi-level system. If the operator cannot answer the client’s question, he will redirect him to a specialized specialist. The switching system works instantly.

Is it possible to turn off your home phone temporarily while keeping the number?

If the subscriber leaves for a long time or goes on vacation, then in order not to pay a subscription fee, the service should be temporarily deactivated. To do this, it is recommended to use the “Voluntary blocking” option, within which you can suspend service for 1, 2 and 3 months, retaining your home phone number.

List of documents

Before you disconnect your MGTS phone in Moscow, you need to collect a complete list of documents:

  1. Preparatory documentation – passport of a citizen of the Russian Federation, contract.
  2. A receipt for payment of the debt and a statement written in the prescribed form.

If the company's client uses the Internet access service, then this option is not disabled. If necessary, modems are replaced.

Sample application

An application for refusal of landline communication services must be written according to the established template. The applicant agrees that he will pay for the services and returns the equipment in proper condition, which he confirms with a personal signature. It is not possible to disable the service remotely.

Conditions

Equipment for rent/free use

You can hand over the equipment if the following conditions are met:

  1. No debt for the service.
  2. There are no signs of external/internal damage due to thermal, electrical or moisture exposure.
  3. Availability of the necessary documents (listed above).

After writing the application

After completing the application, it must be transferred to the other party to the contractual relationship. There are several ways to do this.

  1. the first and most reliable is to give it personally, from hand to hand to the service provider;
  2. send the document via regular mail by registered mail with return receipt requested (with a list of attachments) - this route also guarantees that the message will reach the recipient;
  3. submit the application through a representative, but only if he has a valid, duly certified power of attorney from the applicant;
  4. send an application via email, but only if such a procedure is specified in the contract;
  5. if there is electronic document flow between the parties, then it is allowed to send the application through the user’s personal account or via Internet banking (in situations when we are talking about credit institutions and their clients).

How to disconnect a landline phone after the death of a subscriber

Here I will write how to resolve the issue quickly, without unnecessary costs, and most importantly, without unnecessary nerves. In my case, this applies to the capital company MGTS, others should have the same thing. Or simpler.

Of course, there is not a word about this on the MGTS website. And their telephone support service in this case is useless and seems to be completely unaware of the issue. I communicated with three different operators, and even started arguing with some of them. The answer is the same everywhere: “Come, re-register the contract for yourself, then in the office near the Preobrazhenskaya metro station (and only there) write an application for disconnection.” Cute? Cute. It is worth noting here that you will have to pay for re-registration, and for this you will also have to visit Sberbank. The amount, it should be noted, is small (a little more than 100 rubles), but why would I/you/anyone else pay extra money to MGTS? And I still don’t know where to go. Tea, not relatives.

Let me note right away that if you simply refuse to pay the invoices that are sent (they say, the contract is not for me), the debt will accumulate, then the phone will be turned off, BUT the debt will still grow even if the phone is turned off . Formally, this amount “hangs” on the deceased subscriber. But there are always options in court, good lawyers, etc. And also extra hassle. Does anyone need it? Probably not.

Therefore, we will solve the issue “without noise and dust.” And it should be solved with a switched-off telephone, ideally by the owner.

• A statement/notification must be filed. (It’s good when mom is a lawyer.)

In the upper right corner we write: OJSC Moscow City Telephone Network From [your full name], living at the address: [your registration address, which is also the place where the phone is disconnected]

Below: I hereby notify that due to the death of a subscriber of MGTS OJSC [full name of the subscriber], the contract for the provision of services of MGTS OJSC at the address: [address of your registration, which is also the place where the telephone is disconnected] (telephone number [telephone number to be disconnected]) has been terminated your action.

In connection with the above, I ask you to stop providing services to OJSC MGTS at the specified address. There are no outstanding payments for services.

Attachment: a copy of the Death Certificate (a notarized copy [or the original, if you bring it, it makes no difference] is presented for review)

Just below: [Signature] [Your full name] [Date of application submission]

• Next, find out the address of the MGTS client office; to do this, on the MGTS website, look for a map with a list of “sales and service centers” and select the one that is most convenient for you to visit. This will only have to be done once. If you have a choice, it is better not to go to the office at the very beginning of the month, at this time the bills are generated and there may be a queue. By time (before or after work) - it is better to arrive before, in the morning. If there is no queue, the whole process will take 5-10 minutes. Whether you paid your MGTS bill this month or not does not matter.

• What to take with you: – two copies of the notice from the first paragraph (one for yourself, the other for MGTS), – an original or a notarized copy of the death certificate, – a regular copy of the previous document (will remain with MGTS), – your passport, which contains registration at the location where the phone is disconnected.

• Arrive at MGTS, select “other services” in the electronic queue terminal. Take a ticket and wait in line.

• In the window you give a notification and to the question “What do you want?” say the following: “I have brought notice of the death of your subscriber and, accordingly, I inform you that the agreement with MGTS is no longer valid.” What's the logic? If you say that you want to end the contract, you may be told the following: “You cannot end the contract because you are not a party to the contract. But you can re-register the contract for yourself, etc., etc.” But you do not need to renew the contract and do not need to terminate it; you came for the sole purpose of notifying MGTS that the contract has already terminated due to the death of the subscriber. Here they will ask you: “Who are you anyway?” Present your passport with registration for this. Then provide a regular copy of the death certificate on a permanent basis and let them look at the original.

• If the employee is competent, you will receive a stamp/mark on your copy of the notification: Such and such communication service center Accepted by [Name of employee] Date [respectively, the date of receipt of the notification]

And then your phone will be turned off. No further documents will be issued. You can go for air with peace of mind. If the employee is illiterate, he may say something like “we do not accept such notices” and refuse to put an acceptance stamp on your copy, in which case call a senior person. Never leave without an acceptance stamp. They are obliged to accept the notification, since you are not just a passerby on the street, but a person registered in the apartment (or even the owner) in which MGTS equipment is currently installed.

• Then all you have to do is pay the amount for the current month and forget about the unnecessary expense line forever. The amount for the last month is determined as a result of recalculation. Those. if your phone was turned off, say, on the 3rd, then you will only need to pay for three days. Please note that the payment (as usual) will arrive only in a month.

Is it possible to turn off your home phone but leave the Internet?

If we are talking about using combined services, then network access will also be deactivated. For those subscribers who need Internet from MGTS, it is recommended to switch to separate tariff plans in advance.

If necessary, you can suspend the provision of services. In this case, the user will have to pay an additional 300 rubles. This option is indispensable for those who need to keep their number for a long period of time. Activation of the service does not require additional payments.

Which routers are being changed?

Most often, MGTS subscribers exchange SERCOM RV6688, ZTE ZXA10 F660 routers for Huawei HG8245 and the SERCOMM RV6699 and ZTE ZXHN 670 equipment offered today by the provider.

Such a replacement is usually due to the low level of the useful Wi-Fi signal in the RV6688, ZTE ZXA10 F660, which does not allow for high-quality wireless communication. In addition, both of these devices do not support the 5 GHz band (802.11ac standard), and the available settings do not allow them to be used in bridge mode to connect additional Wi-Fi routers as signal amplifiers.

Huawei HG8245, although it does not support the 5GHz band, is easily configured as a bridge. At the same time, external antennas provide a higher signal level and, if necessary, can be replaced.

SERCOMM RV6699 and ZTE ZXHN 670 belong to the next generation of ONT equipment, guaranteeing a high level of Wi-Fi signal, support for 2 bands and automatic switching to a free frequency band, traffic balancing with priority for powerful (for example, stationary PCs) consumers.

At the same time, the provider itself no longer provides outdated models of routers, and, if possible, replaces routers with ones operating in 2 bands.

The company also makes a mandatory replacement of ADSL routers with GPON when changing connection technology.

Cancellation of the phone through the MFC

The shutdown is carried out through multifunctional centers on an extraterritorial basis. In this category of government institutions, you can use both municipal and state services. The “one window” principle applies here. All you need to do is come to the branch and leave a request to deactivate the service.

Step-by-step guide to action:

  1. Make an appointment with a specialist by phone or take a number from the electronic queue when visiting the department.
  2. Pay a state fee of 60 rubles.
  3. Bring with you a receipt for payment, a passport and a document confirming that you are the owner of the property at whose address the service is connected.
  4. Write an application to disconnect a landline telephone using the current sample.

After completing the above steps, the subscriber will be assigned a time for the technician’s visit. A specialist will arrive and perform all the necessary steps to disconnect your home telephone.
