How does Netariff work?

“Netariff” from MTS is very similar to the standard constructor of the popular “virtual” Yota. Its operating principle is as follows:

The subscriber configures the amount of minutes and gigabytes using a special slider.
The cost of the tariff varies depending on the selected values.
After selecting the optimal option, the subscriber clicks on the “Connect” button, and the selected tariff plan is connected to the number.

An important feature of the MTS offer is an expanded number of additional options. While Yota only offers unlimited coverage for various services, MTS allows you to add paid subscriptions, spam blocking and other services to your tariff.

Possible content and cost

The content of the tariff plan depends on the subscriber himself. Here are the service packages that can be activated within the “Netariff”:

Mobile traffic: from 5 GB to 30 GB per month with settings up to gigabyte. You can also connect to completely unlimited Internet. Traffic is valid both in the home region and when traveling around the country.
Minutes: from 200 to 2,000 minutes to all Russian phones, accurate to the minute. The package of minutes is also valid when traveling around Russia.
SMS messages: 50 or 200 pieces to choose from. There are no customization options.

The cost of the tariff plan depends both on the selected set of services and on the region. For example, in Moscow, 10 GB of Internet, 440 minutes and 50 SMS will cost 510 rubles. per month, and in St. Petersburg the same set will cost 381 rubles. per month.

When you first connect, payment is debited in installments: 50% of the subscription fee is charged at the start, and another 50% after 15 days of use. If there is not enough money, access to communication services will be suspended until the account is replenished. In addition to standard service packages, you can add a lot of interesting additional options to the “Netariff”.

Who is Netariff suitable for?

The plan is aimed at most subscribers due to the flexibility of settings. It is ideal for those who do not want to pay for completely unnecessary services, often included in package offers.

“Netariff” cannot be recommended to users who prefer to do without mobile Internet and voice calls. There is no provision for completely disabling the subscription, so the subscription fee will continue to be charged even in the absence of actual use.

“Netariff” is also unprofitable for subscribers who often call abroad. The cost of calls will be the same as other plans, so savings will not be possible.

Despite the above, “Net Tariff” is a profitable offer that should not be ignored; with a rational approach, it will help save considerable amounts.

Unlimited options

If you don’t want to overpay for completely unlimited Internet, you can add unlimited traffic to your tariff only for certain groups of applications. In total, 3 unlimited options are offered within the “Netariff”:

Social networks: VKontakte, Odnoklassniki, Instagram, Facebook and Twitter do not consume the Internet package. In almost all regions, the option costs 60 rubles. per month.
Communication: messengers WhatsApp, Telegram, Viber, Discord, Skype and ICQ can be used unlimitedly. In Moscow, this service is completely free, but in many other regions it costs 30 rubles. per month.
Entertainment: no gigabytes are wasted when using video hosting sites YouTube, Twitch and TikTok. The cost of the service is 100 rubles. in 30 days.

All unlimited options work only in official applications or browser versions of websites. If a VPN is used on the device, the traffic will start to be consumed again. Unlimited applies to text messages, audio and video calls, viewing images and videos in the service itself. Transitions to other services are charged according to the standard “Netariff” conditions. You can connect one or several unlimited options at the same time.

How to download from torrent trackers?

The cost of using torrent trackers is 75 rubles daily. For this amount, 5 gigabytes of traffic are available; their consumption leads to the shutdown of file-sharing networks. The main danger is automatic debiting of funds when connecting to torrents. On many computers, the tracker is turned on automatically; if the smartphone is used as a modem, you can accidentally lose a considerable amount. Not a very humane decision on the part of the operator; it was quite possible to set a limit of several hundred kilobytes so that the user would have time to turn off the torrent client before the payment was debited.

If we talk about Internet distribution, it is free if you use packages. For example, 30 gigabytes can be distributed even in a day without additional payment. If you use a scheme with unlimited Internet, then the maximum per day is 10 gigabytes, excess requires an 80-ruble surcharge. As in the situation with torrents, this amount is written off immediately as soon as the limit is exceeded.

Paid subscriptions

The tariff plan can include additional subscriptions to MTS services or operator partners. There are a total of five options to choose from:

“Super” subscription to the MTS TV service. Offers over 100 TV channels, thousands of films and TV series for 199 rubles. per month.
“Super+” subscription to the MTS TV service. An improved version of the previous subscription. It already includes 150 TV channels, as well as many movies, cartoons and television series for 299 rubles. per month.
Subscription to MTS Music. This is the operator's music service, competing with Yandex.Music, Spotify and Apple Music. In the application, subscribers will find millions of tracks of various genres, as well as the possibility of built-in music recognition, like in Shazam. Cost - 169 rubles. per month.
Subscription to online cinema IVI. It allows you to watch a huge number of films, TV series and cartoons in the highest quality, without advertising and without speed limits. Subscription costs 349 rubles. per month and is valid on five devices at once - you can watch movies with the whole family without interfering with each other.
“Books” subscription to the MTS Library service. This option includes over 270,000 books of different genres. You can read not only fiction, but also useful literature - for example, popular science books or business manuals. Subscription costs 349 rubles. per month.

Paid subscriptions can be combined with each other in any combination. The only limitation is that it is impossible to purchase “Super” and “Super+” for MTS TV at the same time, because these options are mutually exclusive.

When purchasing a subscription, the subscriber also receives completely unlimited traffic in the selected service when using mobile Internet from MTS.

Internet distribution methods

Before analyzing how to bypass restrictions on MTS, it is recommended to choose the most suitable option for transmitting traffic when turning on the connection point. As a rule, you can do everything necessary in the following order:

enabling the corresponding option on your mobile device;
connecting to a third party tariff plan;
using a SIM card on any other device;
plugging the card into the router to transmit a Wi-Fi signal;
connecting a smartphone via USB cable;
transferring the required amount of traffic to another subscriber.

In each individual case, there is a different algorithm of actions for inclusion, however, the most relevant method is precisely turning on the access point from the phone, which is why this technique will have to be analyzed in more detail.

Services

In addition to unlimited and subscriptions, MTS offers to add several other additional options to the tariff:

“Unlimited calls to MTS Russia
. The service makes it possible to make free calls to other subscribers of the operator throughout the country after the package of minutes within the tariff ends. Cost - 100 rubles. per month.
“Blocking spam calls.”
The option automatically blocks all calls from suspicious numbers listed in the MTS database as spam and scammers. Cost - 30 rubles. per month.

A city number can also be considered an additional service of the designer. In Moscow and the Moscow region, its use will cost 304.8 rubles. per month.

Terms of provision and payment

When traveling to the Crimea peninsula, the service may be valid if the appropriate option is activated.

The cost of the service is fixed, does not depend on the number of minutes spent, the remainder is burned.

It is recommended to top it up in advance to avoid blocking the number on the day of debiting. Funds will be withdrawn from the account the next day after the number is unblocked.

The price of the service will not be debited from the balance only if the number has been blocked for more than a month.

Standard settings

If a subscriber purchases a new SIM card with a pre-installed “Netariff”, the following set of options awaits him inside:

10 GB Internet;
440 minutes to any numbers throughout the country;
50 SMS messages.

Exactly the same parameters are specified in the default constructor. The cost of this option in Moscow and the Moscow region is 510 rubles. per month. If a subscriber switches to this tariff plan from an old SIM card, but does not set up the conditions himself, he will receive the following set of packages:

20 GB Internet traffic;
460 minutes to any Russian numbers;
50 SMS messages throughout the country.

This option in Moscow and the Moscow region will cost a little more - 529 rubles. per month. Additional unlimited options, subscriptions and other services are not included in the standard “Netariff” packages.

Who is the package suitable for?

The new offer from MTS NETARIFF is ideal for those users who know exactly what they need. They know how many minutes they talk on average per month, how much Internet they spend.

This tariff plan is suitable if a person clearly knows his requirements, since in the settings he will have to indicate what is needed and in what quantity.

If a person hardly uses the Internet and calls few places, then NETARIF is unlikely to suit him. Even despite the flexible setting conditions, the tariff does not imply completely disabling something.

For example, if a person does not need the Internet at all, then he will not be able to turn it off completely. Thus, he will pay for what he does not use.

Also, NETARIFF is not suitable for those who often communicate with people from abroad. This is because for such calls you will have to pay the same amount as on another mobile operator. To save money, you will need to choose a different tariff or connect an additional service.

In all other cases, NETARIFF is perfect. Today this is the most profitable offer from MTS, which you definitely need to try.

On the one hand, MTS makes it possible not to overpay for unnecessary services. On the other hand, if the subscriber exceeds the readings selected in the settings, an additional fee will be charged. And this happens often, because few people clearly track how much they use the Internet.

So, NETARIFF has its advantages and disadvantages. Before switching to a new tariff, you need to consider all the pros and cons.

After the packages are exhausted

When service packages within the “Netariff” come to an end, the following communication prices will be used:

Calls to mobile numbers of any operators, as well as to landlines within the country - 1.75 rubles. in a minute;
SMS messages to all subscribers in Russia - 3.5 rubles. a piece;
SMS to any foreign numbers - 8.5 rubles. a piece;
MMS to numbers of Russian operators - 10.3 rubles. a piece.

Internet traffic is not paid per megabyte. When the Internet package runs out, an additional 1 GB is connected for 160 rubles. If this option is disabled, the Internet speed is reduced to 64 Kbps.

Why is my subscription not connecting?

Perhaps there is no money on the number to pay extra for changing the settings. Check your balance using *100#. If necessary, top up your account on the website.
If you pay "NETARIF" daily, you cannot activate subscriptions and options. To return to monthly payment, top up your account with an amount equal to the full month's payment.
If your number has , your subscription will not be activated. Check the availability of the service and disable it using the command *111*1984#.

Limitations and Disadvantages

“Netariff” has several important limitations and disadvantages that can greatly affect the profitability and ease of use of this tariff:

Unlimited Internet is fully operational only in your home region. When traveling around the country, you can use no more than 30 GB, after which the connection speed will be reduced to 64 Kbps.
As part of the Netariff, MTS does not offer unlimited calls with its other subscribers. Even if you activate a paid option, calls to MTS phones will consume a package of minutes, which is in many ways inconvenient.
You can distribute the Internet via Wi-Fi, but not more than 10 GB, regardless of the package size. Distribution of traffic over the limit is paid, and you will have to pay 80 rubles for it. per day;
You can use torrents and file hosting services, but not for free. You can download no more than 5 GB per day, and you will have to pay 75 rubles for it. The offer, to put it mildly, is not the most profitable.
Packages cannot be transferred to the next billing period. Anything not spent within a month will be burned. However, thanks to the flexible constructor, such situations can be avoided - just reduce the package next month so as not to pay for excess.

Special conditions also apply to change the volume of packages. All changes take effect at the beginning of the new billing period, so it is not possible to refund money for excess packages in the current month.

Pros and cons of "Netariff" from MTS

It’s just convenient, you select the desired volume and use it.
Calls and SMS in the tariff throughout Russia.
The daily subscription fee does not increase the cost of using the package by 30%, as is done by MTS on many other tariffs.
Internet distribution is allowed in the amount of the connected package. However, the free distribution with the unlimited package is limited to 10 GB. traffic, then you need to pay 80 ₽ per day when you distribute something.

Minuses

The use of torrents is paid: it costs 75 ₽ per day, and for this money only 5 GB is available. traffic. If you need to increase the volume, you need to buy additional “Turbo buttons”.
Unused minutes and traffic are not carried over to the next month. You chose the volume yourself, the operator had nothing to do with it
There is no option to choose a package without minutes or traffic or SMS at all. Inconvenient. Why should a subscriber pay for services that he does not need?
A SIM card with “Netariff” cannot be used in a modem. For this purpose there is a tariff “For a laptop”.

How to switch to “Netariff”

The instructions for switching to a new MTS offer are no different from connecting to any other tariff plan.

Here's how to activate the “Netariff” tariff on an old SIM card:

Log into your personal account on the operator’s official website at mts.ru. Go to the “Tariffs” tab, click on the “Change tariff” button and find the one you need in the list. Customize it to your requirements and connect.
Open the “My MTS” mobile application and go to the “Tariffs” menu. Select “Non-tariff” from the proposed options, change the scope of services to suit your needs and add additional options if needed. Click on the “Connect” button and confirm your actions.

You can also purchase a new SIM card with the desired tariff plan or switch to MTS with your number if you are currently using the services of another cellular operator. To perform such actions, you will need to visit the nearest MTS communication store with your passport. To disable the “Net Tariff”, switch to any other tariff plan using the same instructions.

Eventually

I myself switched to “Netariff”; out of all MTS tariffs, I chose it. I looked at the average amount of traffic and minutes I used in my personal account and connected the volume of services I needed. It’s convenient that calls throughout Russia, and not just in your home region, unlimited instant messengers are free, plus a bunch of additional options for every taste. An excellent tariff, in my opinion it turned out. There are few cons.
