“We are MTS” is a line of tariffs for family use, which includes, in addition to mobile communication services themselves and everything connected with it, also mobile TV from the operator, and in the “plus” version also a home Internet service. Let’s figure out whether it’s worth joining these tariff plans, and even transferring your entire family and/or friends to them.

Advantages

If you want to connect to such a tariff plan, you should definitely familiarize yourself with its advantages - they are written about in detail on the provider’s official website. An example is presented there using the example of a family of three: everyone has a smartphone, and a tablet works at home. The simplest TP will cost them 500 Russian rubles each.

If you use Family Smart, then the cost of service per month drops to 1000. The tariff also has the following advantages:

  1. Reduces communication costs.
  2. Allows you to control your children's expenses.
  3. Eliminates confusion in bills.
  4. Allows you to receive many bonuses from the operator.

Group "Family"

  • Any subscriber who has connected “We are MTS” or “We are MTS plus” can create a “Family” Group and add up to 5 other MTS subscribers who are connected to any tariffs for individuals. The only restriction: subscribers must be connected in one region of Russia. That is, a subscriber with a SIM card from Novosibirsk will not be able to add a subscriber from St. Petersburg to the “Family”.
  • For each user added to the “Family” group, the initiator pays an additional RUB 50 to the tariff cost.
  • When added to the “Family”, the subscriber is automatically transferred to the “We are MTS For You” tariff, which has no subscription fee and gets the opportunity to use quotas of minutes, SMS and Internet traffic from the package of the initiator who invited him to the “Family” and which is now the entire banquet and pays.
  • The initiator of the “Family” group can set limits on the consumption of minutes, SMS and traffic for each group member. If a group member exceeds the limits, he will pay for the operator’s services from his account at the following rates: an outgoing call over the limit set by the initiator will cost 1.70 RUR per minute of conversation, SMS - 3.50 RUR / message, Internet - 9.90 per 1 Mb. (what a horror).
  • The easiest way to form a group, invite or delete users for initiators who are connected to the “We are MTS” or “We are MTS Plus” tariffs is through a personal account on the operator’s website or the “My MTS” application for smartphones and tablets.

Additional options for the tariff plan

Subscribers on this tariff plan can use a number of additional options for free. They have access to more than 150 TV channels, thousands of films and TV series, which can be viewed on a smartphone, tablet, PC, Smart TV and Android TV. You can connect up to 5 devices at the same time – as part of the “Super+” subscription in the MTS TV service.

For a month you can use other popular services completely free of charge:

  • MTS Music;
  • Unlimited access to the ivi online cinema;
  • iCloud is a service for storing your photos, files and much more.

These services, starting from the second month, become paid. If you don’t like them, you can deactivate them at any time.

How to connect

  • To activate the “We are MTS+” tariff, first you need to check the possibility of connecting to Home Internet at your residential address. This can be done on the operator’s website. If you can connect your home Internet, then on the same page you select a tariff, additional services and channel packages and leave a request for connection. The operator's staff will contact you.
  • You can connect “We are MTS”, like the “Family” Group, in your personal account on the MTS website, in the application or through the USSD command *111*1025#.
  • You can disable the “We are MTS” tariff by switching to any other MTS tariff available for connection through your personal account, application or the corresponding USSD request (see MTS tariffs).
  • To disable the “We are MTS+” tariff plan, you will need to officially terminate the contract with the operator. Call support at 0890 (it's free) and then follow the employee's instructions.

How to disable a tariff plan

You cannot disable the tariff, but if necessary, you can switch to another tariff plan by selecting it from the list of available ones. If a subscriber no longer wants to use the MTS network, he can transfer his number to another operator. As an option, simply do not pay the subscription fee, in which case after a year the contract will be terminated at the initiative of the subscriber.

MTS USSD requests for managing SMS messages

The MTS operator offers advanced message management using the new SMS Pro service. The subscriber can set up message forwarding, auto replies, group contacts and much more. You can activate the service using the code *111*2320# (service with a daily subscription fee). To ban MTS informational and advertising messages, dial *111*374#.

For those who communicate a lot via SMS, it is more profitable to buy message packages. This can also be done using USSD commands. For example, to periodically connect SMS package 100 you need to dial *111*0100#, package 300 - *111*0300#. Previously, it was possible to activate unlimited messages using the code *111*2230#, for which a daily subscription fee of 10 rubles was charged, but now the service is archived.

The “Night SMS Drive” option for unlimited messaging only at night can be activated using the code *111*2133#.

How to share packages with others

  • You can transfer part of your packages to one or more (up to five) MTS numbers. Please note: the tariff plan for these numbers will change to a new one, without a monthly fee. Number owners will be notified via SMS and will have to give their consent.
  • Each number with whom you share packages costs 150 rubles per month. This money is debited from your mobile number.
  • You decide how many minutes, gigabytes and SMS each number with whom you share your packages will receive. By default, your loved ones will have unlimited mobile Internet.

To share packages, on the tariff page, click “Share packages”. If necessary, log in using your MTC number and click “Login”.

Select "Invite Member" from the list and scroll down. Participant is the number of an MTS subscriber who will receive part of the packages of your “WE MTS” tariff. Enter the participant's number, select the number of minutes, SMS and, if necessary, gigabytes that you are willing to allocate to him, and click “Start sharing.”

Wait until the user of the number you added confirms his consent to share the “WE MTS” tariff and change the tariff on his number. We will send an SMS to the added number, to which you need to respond with the word “Yes”.

After this you will receive a confirmation SMS.

Connecting SIM cards

When you log into your account, the main page opens, on which all MGTS offers are presented in the form of separate cards. Those that are already connected are highlighted with a blue “header”, those that are not connected are highlighted in any other color and with a lower blue “Connect” button for quick registration.

On the right is the owner’s profile with the indicated telephone and personal account numbers, the amount of the current debt, since services are provided a month in advance, and the “Pay” button. There is a top menu with a list of main services, below it there are functional sections.

To link SIM cards to the general payment, follow the algorithm:

  1. Go to the “Mobile Communications” section - by clicking on the window with the same name, or on the position of the same name in the top menu.
  2. The next page will open, displaying cards of already linked SIM cards and clarifying their tariff plans - name, included minutes, traffic.
  3. Below the list there is a blue button “+Connect another number”. Click on it and in the window that opens, enter a new number, select a tariff for it from the proposed list with a description of the conditions and save the changes.
  4. Go back and make sure that a new card with the necessary information appears in the “Mobile Communications” section.

Each such telephone “case” contains information about the tariff plan, unused traffic, the number of available SMS and minutes, additional options that can be paid or free. You can disable them or, conversely, enable them, make a request for call details, top up your balance separately from a single account, or change the tariff. Details are provided separately for each phone number. You can change your tariff plan at any time - recalculation is made on the date of change.

On what tariffs is it used?

This is a primary question that a client who wants to activate the “General Package” must take care of answering. First, you need to determine who can distribute your service package. And here lies the biggest limitation. The option is available only to subscribers who have subscribed to the “Our Smart” tariff plan.

This is a family tariff that provides access to unlimited Internet, 1500 minutes of calls and 1500 messages. As a result, you might think that this is another way to write off additional money from subscribers. After all, the monthly fee for the tariff in question is 1000 rubles/month. But, if you carefully study the offers of other operators, it becomes clear that there, too, you need to pay a certain amount for connecting numbers to the package.

So, we have fixed the first point that we cannot do without: the OP is available for connection to the “Our Smart” tariff. But are other family members really obliged to activate the TP for 1000 rubles/month? No, that's not true. You can use the general package on almost any tariff, with the exception of the following:

  • Smart Unlimited.
  • Smart Unlimited+.
  • Tariff.
  • X.
  • For tablet.

Such restrictions are quite clear and understandable. After all, most of the above TPs already have an activated package of services.

Personal account

A personal account is a user identification number in the provider’s database, registered in an agreement for receiving telecommunications services.

A single account is linked to the personal account. This is a free option, thanks to which the client pays for the monthly volume of use after the fact. MGTS receipt for Internet, TV services, landline and cellular communications, security alarm and video surveillance is paid in a general payment until the 20th of the next month.

A one-time payment allows you to:

  • do not forget about payment for each service;
  • for a month do not worry about the balance on household devices;
  • enjoy traffic without worrying about lack of funds.

New SIM cards are automatically included in the Unified Account along with other services whose cards are marked with a blue “header” in the account.

“WE MTS” in Russia and abroad

The “WE MTS” tariff plan is valid on the territory of the Russian Federation in the MTS coverage area. At the same time, all subscribers who switch to this tariff are automatically connected, which is optimal for those who actively make calls and use the Internet while staying abroad.

A fee is charged for one time per day, provided that the subscriber is located outside the Russian Federation and has used mobile communication services at least once.

In 30+ popular countries the fee is 390 rubles, in others the service will cost 410 rubles. There is no charge when staying in Russia.

USSD requests from MTS with zero balance

MTS subscribers are never left without communication, because the operator provides them with several options for action when the money in their account runs out. For example, you can quickly top up your account from your bank card - the code *115# activates.

And if you don’t have time to look for a payment terminal, borrow money from the operator - dial *111*123# and use “Promised payment”, only your balance should not be less than 30 rubles. The operator will top up your account for 3 days with the amount you specify (up to 800 rubles).

Need to call someone, but your account balance is completely zero? Activate. Send the USSD command 110 to the number of the subscriber you are asking to call back #, and he will receive a missed call notification from you.

You can also ask your loved ones to top up your account by simply dialing 116 subscriber number # on your mobile phone - the called subscriber will receive an SMS message with your request. In these commands, the subscriber number can be dialed in any format. The same service can be activated through the universal number *111# by selecting “Top up my account” in the menu.

MTS service commands for balance control

The most popular USSD request for MTS is, of course, *100#, the balance check code. And if suddenly the number on the screen becomes an unpleasant surprise for you, ask the operator for a list of the last 5 paid transactions (code *152#) or a report on expenses for today (code *152*1#).

And if it’s convenient for you to have the balance of funds shown on the screen after each call, connect using the command *152*3#. The service is paid - 0.10 rubles per day.

You topped up your account through the terminal, but the money doesn’t arrive for a long time? You can control your deposits by requesting *152*4#.

If the SIM card is from another operator

Fill out an application on the MGTS website - provide personal information and contacts. An employee will contact you to clarify details and the possibility of transfer. Or visit the Sales and Service Center to submit a claim. You will be given a temporary SIM card, where the previous number will be transferred for testing the connection. Temporary balance as a gift. The transition procedure takes 8 days and costs 100 rubles. Delivery of an MGTS SIM card with the previous number is carried out to the specified address and is also free of charge, transfer is upon presentation of a passport.

Option restrictions

We have already said earlier that the “General Package” has a number of limitations. But they are all quite understandable. Be that as it may, each client wishing to activate the service must take into account all possible restrictions. Their list is presented below:

  • Only a subscriber on the “Our Smart” tariff can share the package.
  • Receiving minutes, gigabytes and SMS is not available on several TPs.
  • No more than 5 participants can be connected to the general package at the same time.
  • The size of the subscription fee does not depend on the number of users.
  • Internet traffic can only be received in portions of no more than 100 megabytes.

As a result, it is absolutely impossible to call using the service as convenient as possible. The main complaint about the service is the limitation of transmitted traffic. Yes, you can send as many 100 megabyte portions to the subscriber as you like, but this is such a small amount that with active web surfing it will be used up in 30 minutes.

One-time and regular transfers

To make a one-time payment, you can dial the USSD command:

*112**#amount>number>

Where:

  • - this is the phone number of the person whose account you want to top up>
  • — replenishment amount, which should not exceed 300 rubles. amount>

For example, if you want to transfer 150 rubles, the message will look like:

*112*89195534849*150#

After sending the message, you should receive an SMS containing a recharge code. Send it with the command:

*112*#code>

For example, having received confirmation code 5245, the message will look like:

*112*5245#

A regular payment is configured by the command in the following format:

*114***# amount>code>number>

  • - a figure corresponding to the period for sending the payment, which can take on the following values: 1 - every day, 2 - once a week, 3 - once a month code>

Example. In order for the amount of 150 rubles to be transferred from your personal account to your child’s account every week, you need to create the following message:

Receive the verification code and send a reply message as described above.
