The subscriber cannot answer your Tele2 call. What is it?

What does the phrase “The subscriber does not answer” mean?

In the last decade, mobile communications have firmly entered our everyday life, and the telephone has become a vital accessory for literally every person, from a primary school student to an elderly pensioner.
We are accustomed to the fact that at any moment we can call a loved one or an acquaintance about the most trivial matter. But sometimes, after dialing a number, we hear a phrase spoken in a mechanical female voice: “The subscriber is not answering” or “The subscriber’s phone is turned off .
If the recipient of the call is a person dear to us, such a message can cause slight panic, because the reasons for being absent from the network can potentially be the most tragic. But is it worth grabbing your heart and starting calling all known telephone numbers?

Blocking

Another reason for such a phrase that subscribers may forget about is blocking. Operators can block the use of the phone if the account has not been replenished for a long time or there are debts. When there is a negative balance, an information message is sent; it is recommended to top up your account in order to receive incoming calls and avoid blocking.

The reason may also be voluntary blocking by the client. This is usually necessary to avoid overpaying for unnecessary services when going on vacation. Try dialing the number you need after 14 days (this is the period for free use of the voluntary blocking service) or send an SMS. If the phone is not blocked, but in roaming, the subscriber can receive a message.

Why can't the subscriber answer the call?

There are many reasons why a mobile network subscriber is temporarily unavailable for calls.

  1. Dead phone. This is the most common explanation for your friend’s temporary disappearance from the mobile communications space. To prevent this from happening, many of us purchase an additional charger that operates from the mains, or a Power Bank - a powerful battery charger. But not everyone, unfortunately, is so prudent, and the opportunity to recharge a dead phone battery is sometimes unavailable.
  2. Leaving the coverage area. It may well be that your friend is currently in a location where the cell phone signal is too weak or non-existent. Such places are also found in megacities, and on a country trip it is generally difficult to avoid ending up in such a zone. As a rule, staying in an area with no communication is a short-term phenomenon.
  3. Turning off the phone when objectively necessary. For example, many companies ask participants in important meetings to turn off their phones while scheduled issues are being discussed. Participants in court hearings, spectators in the theater, etc. turn off their phones. Finally, your friend could simply go to bed and turn off his cell phone so that no one would disturb him while he rested.
  4. The phone is broken or stolen. Accidents happen to mobile phones quite often: they are dropped on the asphalt, breaking into pieces, dropped into water, or filled with tea and coffee. Well, it is enough to remove the SIM card from the stolen device so that the subscriber cannot answer the call. As a rule, after such an adventure, communication with the owner of the affected phone is interrupted for some time until he purchases a new device.
  5. Foreign trip. In international roaming, using your regular number is extremely expensive; only very wealthy people can afford this luxury. Most tourists prefer to buy temporary cards from local operators while on vacation abroad.

As you can see, there are many completely safe reasons for not having access to your friend's mobile number. After some time, which is unlikely to be long, he will definitely get in touch.

The essence of the service

The benefits of the call waiting service are obvious. For example, you are waiting for an important business call, and at the same time your best friend calls, deciding to tell you something interesting in the next half hour. Or you make dozens of work calls every day and at the same time do not want to miss equally important incoming calls. With Tele2 you can safely talk on your mobile phone for as long as you need.

The service works as follows. During a conversation, the phone will signal a second incoming call in the form of short tone beeps. The number from which the call is being made will appear on the screen, as well as the name if this number is entered in the phone book. In this case, the subscriber can perform the following actions:

  • answer a new call, causing the first conversation to go on hold;
  • reject a new call and continue the current conversation;
  • do not respond to a new call at all; after a while, the second call will be dropped automatically.

If the second call is answered, you can repeatedly switch between the two subscribers, alternately placing them in hold mode. If you ignore the next incoming call, the beeps will continue until the second subscriber hangs up. In addition, it is always possible to make new outgoing calls without interrupting the current conversation, but only leaving it on hold.

The subscriber himself determines which call has higher priority for him. Therefore, it is recommended to connect this option to every Tele2 subscriber, especially those who talk on the phone for a long time.

Decoding standard phrases of a mobile autoinformer

There are a number of standard phrases used by autoinformers of different operators in cases where it is impossible to establish contact with the requested number.

  • “Subscriber is temporarily unavailable, call back later” means that the subscriber’s phone turned off suddenly, without sending a signal to the station to leave the mobile network. This happens when the device turns off due to a low battery or breakdown.
  • “The subscriber’s device is turned off or is out of network coverage” - this message arrives when a person turns off his phone. In this case, the device sends a warning signal to the station about shutdown. Another option is for a person to leave the coverage area, being outside the city, where the signal of his phone gradually weakens, and the border of the coverage area is fixed by the station.
  • “The subscriber is currently unable to answer your call” is generated by the system when the phone is turned off or moved out of the range of reliable signal reception.
  • “Subscriber is temporarily blocked” you hear when you call a number that has been blocked by the owner or mobile operator.
  • “Wrong number dialed” - you are trying to call a number that is not assigned to the subscriber or dialed in the wrong format. Check your typing and correct the mistake.
  • “The network is overloaded” - the message is generated, as a rule, during major holidays or if you are present at a crowded event. Mobile stations were unable to serve all subscribers who wanted to call at a given time. The channel is designed for a certain throughput per unit of time, and if the number of subscribers is exceeded, the stations cannot cope with the load.

In almost all cases where you cannot contact your friend, contact is restored after a short time.

Connecting and disconnecting the service

Now briefly about how to connect and disconnect the second line. To control the operation of this service, the mobile operator Tele2 has reserved two USSD commands:

  • * 43 # – connection;
  • # 43 # – shutdown.

Each time after sending a request, a message is sent to your phone about a change in the status of the service.

There is another way to activate the second line on Tele2. To use it, you need to go to the phone menu “Settings-Calls”, select a SIM card and check the box next to the “Parallel call” item. The exact names of menu items depend on the phone/smartphone model.

If the second line is disabled on the mobile device, then during the conversation the next caller will receive a busy signal in the form of short beeps. If the option is enabled, then instead of short beeps the phrase will be repeated: “Please wait, the subscriber is busy”

Activation (deactivation) on Tele2 is free of charge, regardless of the chosen method and the number of repetitions. There is no charge for the service. All voice calls while using the service are charged according to the current tariff plan.

Tele2 - the reason for an unanswered call to the desired subscriber

It's hard to imagine human life without communication. This is extremely difficult, because every person wants to have a person they can rely on. You can tell him anything. Even the most secret things.

What if there is remote communication? Then there are phones. But it’s not always possible to communicate via phone. In this case, a variety of problems can arise, which we will look at in this article. Get ready for the fact that you will have to read a lot, because not everyone likes this business.

We will figure out why problems arise when communicating on the phone.

What does this mean and why can’t the subscriber answer me?!

Each operator may have completely different reasons for such an error. In our case, the operator is Tele 2, but we will understand the reason in this article. Agree that it is extremely disgusting when the network is lost and there is no access to communicate with loved ones.

And for some, telephone calls are extremely important, because they allow you to call anywhere and even get paid for it. After all, there are people who use mobile phones to earn their living. Communication with customers should always be supported by good communication with the operator.

So, now we will provide you with a list of problems why this error occurs. There will be 6 of them, so get ready to hear each of them.

The first problem is that the subscriber is offline . It happens that a person needs to go somewhere far outside the city to spend time there. It doesn't matter what the reason is. The fact remains that a person leaves the network coverage area and he ends up far away.

That's the whole problem, why there is a problem with communication. But this is only one of all failures.

The second problem is a little different - a SIM card that is temporarily out of service. In this case, everything can go both ways. Or this card was specially disabled by the owner, since he no longer has the desire to use it.

Or this card was blocked by the provider itself so that the user was notified about this. Perhaps even due to non-payment.

The third problem is the least likely, but it should also be on this list - when you are blacklisted by this user. It may have happened that it happened by accident. Or you annoyed (sorry) the user, and he decided to add you to the blacklist. Everything is possible.

When you call this person, you hear exactly these words. Otherwise, it is impossible to understand why you were added to the black list of this user.

We smoothly move on to the fourth situation and here we have the user’s airplane mode turned on. The bottom line is that this mode allows the phone to completely refuse all incoming calls, all sounds that it can make, and so on.

That is, it completely restricts the phone from any network contact. A very convenient thing when you really don’t want to talk to anyone, or are busy at the moment.

The fifth reason is the most commonplace - your interlocutor did not have time to answer and after that the voice mail started working. Not everyone can be online 24/7, so this problem is quite likely. Considering that the interlocutor may be really busy and really has no time for communication right now.

In this case, it is much easier to wait for the interlocutor to call you when he is free.

And finally, the last reason for this error when making a call is that the call was dropped immediately after the call started. It happens that after starting a call, you randomly end it. This happens when a call is made to someone, but due to your fault it does not go through.

There is another problem, but it occurs extremely rarely. This is usually in cases where the connection becomes poor. This often happens and it’s not a fact that there is no problem this time either. If a person always answered before, but then suddenly stopped, then why not try to find out everything from the operator?

There may be some renovation work going on. Moreover, in almost all cases, as you may have noticed, it is mainly the users who are to blame, and not the network. So remember that first of all you need to deal with your phone and your friend’s phone.

This concludes our article. You had to read a lot, didn’t you?
