All of them are designed for different subscribers and provide different benefits. The material contains detailed information about each of the additional services that are currently relevant for Rostelecom subscribers to connect to.

- Activation and use of the option is free;
- You can connect “Conference calling” from Rostelecom using the combination *100*328*1#;

Before connecting the option, I advise you to make sure that the option is supported on your phone. However, if you have a modern smartphone, this is not a problem.
About Globalstar
Brief characteristics of the Globalstar system
Globalstar is a constellation of low-Earth orbit satellites designed for satellite phones and low-speed data communications, somewhat similar to Iridium and Orbcomm satellite systems. The Globalstar system was initially formed as a system designed to interact with existing cellular networks, complementing and expanding their capabilities by providing communications outside coverage areas, as well as for fixed communications in remote areas, where the creation of cellular infrastructure or public network infrastructure is economic or technological reasons is impractical. Using 48 primary and 4 backup low-orbit satellites, each weighing about 450 kg, placed in circular orbits in 8 planes at an altitude of 1414 km with 6 satellites each, the Globalstar system provides coverage of almost the entire surface of the Earth between 74° north and south latitude. The satellites' orbits have an inclination of 52 degrees. Thus, Globalstar communications do not extend to the polar regions. Globalstar satellites are point-to-point repeaters. A network of ground gateway stations provides the ability to connect up to 40 satellites to the public switched telephone network and the Internet; The user is assigned telephone numbers in accordance with the North American Numbering Plan or the appropriate telephone numbering plan for the country in which roaming is available, with the exception of Brazil, where the official international dialing code of Globalstar (+8818) is used. Due to the lack of inter-satellite communications, satellites must be connected to the station in order to provide services to all users that it can recognize. Using a network of terrestrial gateways provides customers with localized regional telephone numbers for satellite mobile phones. But if there are no signal receiving stations in some remote areas (such as the South Pacific and polar regions), the service cannot be provided in these areas, even if satellites fly over them. The Globalstar system uses the Qualcomm CDMA radio interface, however, Ericsson and Telit phones accept the GSM SIM card standard, while the Qualcomm GSP-1600/1700 phones do not have a SIM card, but use an authentication algorithm based on CDMA/IS-41. Therefore, Globalstar gateways need to support CDMA/IS-41 and GSM standards, which not all gateways do. This results in insufficient GSM service coverage for mobile devices located in East Asia and the Caribbean. Currently, GlobalTel subscribers receive 26 types of communication services using 14 different models of satellite subscriber terminals. Most models of these terminals are multi-mode and provide operation not only in satellite, but also in GSM900, AMPS800 modes, and the transition from one mode to another can be done automatically. Most Globalstar providers have roaming agreements with local cellular operators, which allows you to use cellular SIM cards in phones and vice versa. Currently, Globalstar communication services are provided in more than 100 countries around the world (Additional information is available on the official website of Globalstar). The Russian segment of the Globalstar system is a multi-service satellite mobile network of CJSC GlobalTel. This segment includes three gateways in Moscow, Novosibirsk and Khabarovsk. The unified tariff service area of the RSSG covers the territory of 11 countries, including the northern and eastern seas, and part of the Pacific Ocean. The GlobalTel multiservice network is integrated into the public telephone network of Russia with federal code 954. Through the backbone network of Rostelecom and Interregional TransitTelecom, the Russian segment provides two-way roaming with cellular networks. Departmental and corporate communication networks are interfaced with the Russian segment through the Rostelecom backbone network via common channels of the public telephone network or via dedicated channels directly to interface stations. Interaction with public networks of other countries is carried out through the international switching center of Rostelecom. Telematic services for data transmission and short messages provide corporate customers with the implementation of effective solutions for creating subnetworks for transmitting telemetric information from mobile and stationary objects, monitoring and control systems for the condition of technological objects, traffic control systems in transport, etc.
Caller ID for landline telephony
It's no secret that the company in question provides not only mobile but also landline communication services. Not everyone believes it right away, but Rostelecom installs Caller ID on your home phone or vice versa, a system that blocks number identification. However, the main purpose of the additional options does not change in any way. If you are interested in the Caller ID service on your home phone from Rostelecom, then you need to contact the sales office, where you fill out the appropriate application. You can also try to resolve the issue by calling the contact center of the provider company.
What else is important to know? Activating an additional option on a landline phone has the same requirements as on a mobile phone. More precisely, the device must support the Caller ID function. If this is not the case, nothing can be done.
Rostelecom home phone
Do you want to continue making landline calls or do you need communications for business? You can connect a Rostelecom home phone for your home or office. You know that now having a home phone number is an indicator of the success and reliability of a company?
Mobile communications have not replaced traditional landline phones. They are used in offices and enterprises, but also in home use, a stationary point remains quite relevant. A home phone allows you to make calls to landlines in any region. Cellular communications are developing by leaps and bounds, but a home telephone is a stable, reliable connection that does not depend on constant account replenishment or signal reception conditions on the tower. Rostelecom is a leading telephone operator offering reliable home telephony in Russia. Calls to a mobile phone are equivalent to long-distance calls.
The company offers equipment connection, a set of modern high-quality services at the best prices.
How to connect a Rostelecom city home phone?
City communications have a wired telephone network. There is no need to re-lay the cable from the station to your home. After submitting your application, the technician will come to you and in 30–40 minutes will install and install a telephone socket in your apartment and connect it with a cable to the general network.
Telephone device requirements
Speaking about the operation of the telephone, you need to pay attention to the fact that detection requires a more or less modern device. For the “Digital Caller ID” service to be available, you must have a telephone set that supports CLIP FSK Caller ID. Usually there are no problems with this. In almost all devices produced by well-known manufacturers, the described option is initially implemented.
You can find out about the possibility of connecting an additional function in the documents. If there is no documentation, you can always contact the MGTS call center.
