There are, of course, tariff plans that, in addition to home service, also include roaming service, but often, subscribers do not even realize that being outside the home zone will be a reason for additional costs.

First of all, when you are roaming, you will have to pay for incoming calls. Yes, a certain amount will be debited from your account for calls from other subscribers. For them, the connection price will not change.

The operator’s logic is quite simple: the caller cannot know where you are, so he calls at the price indicated in his tariff. Naturally, servicing such a conversation costs the operator slightly more than when the subscriber to whom the call is sent is at home. The operator charges this difference in price from your subscriber account. In most cases, a minute of incoming calls will cost you from 9 rubles.

Outgoing calls are charged depending on the direction of the call, and also cost at least 9 rubles per minute. The cost of one megabyte of Internet when roaming also differs significantly from home prices.

If you want to fully use communication services while traveling, then read in advance the prices for roaming services for your tariff. And then calculate how much you will spend on average per day outside your home region. If the trip is not planned for a short period, then multiply the amount by the required number of days. Are you ready to pay that amount for the banal and habitual use of your smartphone?

The conditions of the option are very simple. It does not establish any fixed prices for communication services in roaming. Thanks to it, you can simply “oSmart-mini”; you pay a monthly subscription fee for using it. You have a gigabyte of traffic, 200 minutes and 250 SMS with it. What happens when you activate the “Smart Everywhere at Home” option? Just another hundred rubles are added to your subscription fee. And you can use all packages of your tariff when traveling around the Russian Federation without paying anything more. There is no charge for connecting the option itself; you can also disable the service for free.

The tempting offer from MTS is not available to everyone, otherwise the operator would simply go bankrupt if each subscriber could afford to provide roaming-free space for just 100 additional rubles per month. This option is not available on some tariffs from the Smart line, including Smart+, Nonstop, Unlimited). Also, it should be noted that MTS does not guarantee high Internet speed for subscribers traveling to the northern regions: Norilsk, Yakutia, Magadan region, Chukotka. The conditions of the option indicate that the speed when located in these regions will be 128 kb/sec.

There are very few users of this option among MTS subscribers. And the point is not at all in the reluctance of clients to take advantage of such an offer, but because not everyone has such an opportunity. Before trying to connect, make sure that your tariff includes this offer. The second method is to connect through the operator’s official software: a website with a personal account or a mobile application. It’s also not difficult to figure out, and everything is done in a few clicks.

If at some point the option is no longer necessary for you, then use one of the methods described above. The USSD code for deactivation is exactly the same as for accessing the service.

Surely, all MTS subscribers have noticed that when replenishing their account, in addition to the money that comes to the balance, the user also accumulates a certain number of points.

Bonus points can later be exchanged for useful connections. The option mentioned above is also available for connecting for points. The procedure for connecting to the service is the same as when paying by regular means, only when connecting, bonuses in the amount of 500 pieces will be debited. The bonus option will be valid for exactly one month, then you will need to pay a monthly fee, as with normal use of the service.

How to activate the service?

  • via USSD request *111*3333# and the “Call” button;
  • by sending a message to system number 111 with the word “3333”;
  • using your Personal Account. To do this, the subscriber needs to log in and log into his personal account. Next, go to the “MTS Tariffs” section and, having selected the desired tariff plan, click “Connect”.

How to disable the option?

You must deactivate the service immediately upon returning to your home region. This is necessary so that the standard tariff for your home network is activated, and you do not overpay for cellular communications.

The “Everywhere at home Smart” option can be disabled in the following ways:

  • Through the “Online MTS” service. To do this, go to online.mts.ru, using a digital combination you will receive an answer to your request via SMS. To get a code number, send a system request *111*125# and press the call key. After entering your password you will be taken to the site. Next, go to the “Tariffs” section, then “Management” and select the required one from the list.
  • You can also disable the tariff in your Personal Account. To do this, go to the appropriate section on the website and, having selected, click “Turn off”.
  • You can deactivate the tariff using the USSD command *111*1021#. After sending the request, an SMS will be sent to your phone confirming the successful deactivation of the function.

For those who have the “smart mini 022015” tariff, the conditions are similar, but they provide 1000 free minutes for your calls to MTS Russia and 0.5 GB of Internet. The rest of the conditions are the same. For subscribers with the “mini 102014” tariff, 1 GB of Internet access is provided, calls to subscribers in your region are free, and calls to other operators cost 2 rubles per minute.
