Hidden Megafon number: how to connect and deactivate the service

  • Another convenient and easy way to send an anonymous letter is to use your operator’s website on the Internet. To do this, you need to go to the official website of the mobile provider, follow it and fill out a form with the text of the message, phone number and verification code.
In this case, the recipient will see your message, and instead of the sender's number it will be written, for example, INTERNETSMS.

The disadvantages of this type of SMS sending are the limited number of characters for the message, as well as authorization through social networks due to the fight against spam (again, on some sites).

Before you send an anonymous message, consider:

    • whether the information will violate the laws of the Russian Federation (SMS jokes about terrorist attacks, etc.);
    • whether the information will harm human health (cruel pranks).

  • How to hide a number on MTS when calling and SMS

Unlike landline telephony, where you need to pay an additional fee to the operator for caller ID, on cell phones the opposite is true. By default, when making calls, the number is identified absolutely free of charge, and to hide it you need to activate an additional service. The situation with sending SMS is similar, but operators do not offer additional options for anonymously sending messages. Today we will tell you how to hide a number when calling if you are an MTS subscriber, how much it costs, and also how to make a number secret when sending SMS.

“Anti-identifier” is an option that allows all subscribers of the company, as well as some other telecom operators, to make calls under an unidentified call. This service is provided only for calls; you cannot, for example, send an anonymous SMS message. The telecom operator has two types of this function: “One-time Anti-AON” and “Anti-AON”. Let's look at them in more detail.

    • "One-time AntiAON". This feature allows you to make one unspecified call. To activate it, you must pay for this call.

REFERENCE! The cost of the option is 7 rubles. If the subscriber makes additional anonymous calls, he will pay more money for them.

No preliminary connection is required, it is possible to activate at any convenient time, and is also available to any subscriber of the company.

    • "AntiAON". If you plan to make calls regularly, then it will be more profitable to use this service.

The function will be active for an unlimited amount of time until you disable it. If the subscriber changes his tariff plan, “Anti-determiner” will be active in the future.

    Service management

If you activate the service, each call will be automatically masked. Can allow a specific person to see your contact information. To do this, enter the USSD code “*31#subscriber phone number”, enter the numbers in the international standard, for example, *31#+79270001122. After that, press the call key.

To use anti-caller ID for one time and make a hidden number, enter the command #31#user phone and call (#31#+79279991100). After this, 7 rubles will be debited from the balance.

To activate the service, select one of the methods:

    1. Dial USSD sequence - *221#. There is no charge for completing the request.
    2. Go to your personal account under your account. In the main menu, find the desired option and launch it.
    3. Launch the mobile application from the My Megafon provider.
    4. Contact your operator's service department for assistance. Ask a free consultant to run the function.
    5. Call Megafon service support - 0500. Wait for the specialist to answer on the line and ask your question.

Attention! There is no need to activate a one-time service.

To disable, use any of the listed methods, as during installation, for example, enter the combination *221#.

    Peculiarities

If you hide your number through the smartphone menu, then with each call you will be shown and debited its cost.

You can allow your number to be identified for free when connected using the phone menu.

The number can be hidden only for outgoing calls. When sending SMS and MMS, the number is not hidden.

The service does not work if the called subscriber has the Super Caller ID service activated, or if the calling subscriber uses the services Call at a friend's expense, Voice for pumping or Additional city number.

When switching to another tariff, the service is not disabled and continues to operate.

The service is guaranteed only within the MegaFon network coverage area.

Hiding the number in a message

You can hide your number when calling, although it’s not free. But with SMS everything is a little more complicated. Operators, including MTS, do not provide services that allow you to send SMS either from a hidden number or simply anonymously. Previously, the operator allowed you to anonymously send SMS from the site by hiding your phone number. Now you can send messages through the official website of the operator, but you need to indicate your phone number to receive the code necessary for sending.

However, in the modern world nothing is impossible. You can send SMS from an unknown number to MTS using both third-party sites and special programs. Finding such sites on the Internet is not a problem. Services not only allow you to anonymously send messages from a hidden number, but some also allow you to save sent SMS in your profile when registering on the site, and even save an address book of numbers. Sending messages is quite simple: you need to enter the number, write the text of the message, and click the “Send” button.

In addition to the anonymous sending option, it is possible to write an SMS from another number. This option is often used to prank their acquaintances or friends. Such sites allow you not only to indicate the recipient’s number, but also the sender’s number. Thus, you can specify another number (which is stored in the sender’s phone book) when writing an SMS, and the recipient will receive a message from it.

The programs that are available for all popular operating systems for smartphones or tablets, as well as for desktop computers or laptops, work similarly.

The disadvantages of such services include relative security. By indicating telephone numbers, you cannot be sure how the owners of the resource will use them in the future. The most harmless thing may be to add them to spam and advertising mailings. But you cannot be sure of the safety of personal data. This must be taken into account when specifying numbers to which banking services can be linked.

Messengers that use an email address rather than a cell number for authorization remain no less popular. This method is chosen by those users who are interested not so much in anonymously sending a message, but in the opportunity to do it for free. When sending this way, an email address will be provided.

    How to send anonymous SMS

If you decide to send SMS anonymously yourself in order to prank one of your friends, then we will tell you how to do this. There are several options that won't take up much of your time.

Many people know that you can send SMS for free from operator sites, but anonymous ones are no longer available. Of all the operators, the service has been preserved on MTS and MegaFon, but SMS messages are not anonymous. To send, you will need to provide your phone number and confirm it with a code. Note that for free sending this is much more convenient, since the message will come from your number.

On Tele2 and Beeline, not only anonymous SMS, but also with the sender’s number, cannot be sent. These operators refused to provide such a service.

You can send SMS anonymously using third-party sites, some of which offer sending messages to several numbers. We will not recommend specific resources, since everyone can choose the most convenient and optimal option for themselves, which can be found through any search engine on the Internet.

How to identify a hidden number

Demand always leads to the appearance of offers on the market that satisfy it. In contrast to the ability to hide your number, MTS offers the opportunity to find out even “golden numbers” that are hidden using paid anti-identification services. Of course, identifying a hidden number is not as cheap as hiding it from the called party.

To determine hidden numbers, you need to connect “Super Caller ID”. It costs twice as much as “anti-identifiers”, and activation will cost 2 thousand rubles. At this price, the operator smoothes out the possible negativity of users who prefer to hide their number, since not everyone will connect the option for that kind of money.

    Sending hidden messages

There are many reasons to send a hidden message, and everyone may have their own, depending on their life situation. Some people just want to prank their friends, while others just don't want to use their number when sending messages and want to make it hidden to avoid spam on their phone number.

Today we will tell you how to send hidden messages, how much it costs, and what alternative options are available.

    Anti Caller ID for SMS

Many mobile users know that when using operator services, you can make your phone number secret and make voice calls from your phone, but not display it on the call recipient’s screen. However, it is worth considering that using such services does not allow you to make the number hidden if you need to send an SMS message.

This is due to the fact that when using the anti-identifier service, it is possible to encrypt your phone only during a voice call. That is why, in the description of such services on the websites of any of the operators, there is a warning that when sending an SMS, the numbers will be shown to the recipient.

This is why many users are interested in how to hide a number in an SMS? There are not many options for sending a hidden SMS, and this applies to users of iPhones, Android, and simple push-button phones.

Previously, on the websites of cellular operators it was possible to send messages for free, and the phone number of the person sending it did not have to be specified. However, over time, operators have reduced the ability to send messages to other networks, and left the ability to send only to their own.

The ability to use anonymous messaging is now available only on Beeline. To do this, just go to the appropriate page on the website, indicate the recipient’s number, enter the text, go through the anti-bot check, and send an SMS.

Note that message delivery occurs almost instantly and is delivered to the recipient without specifying the sender's number. Instead, the recipient of the message will have the name InternetSMS. It is worth noting that in this way you can only send messages to Beeline numbers.

Other operators also have the ability to send messages through websites, but you won’t be able to send them without specifying the sender’s number. So, on MTS and MegaFon you will need to indicate not only the recipient’s number, but also your own. A code is sent to your phone, which you will need to enter on the operator’s website to complete sending the message.

Thus, you can only send SMS without indicating your number to a subscriber of any operator other than Beeline using third-party services. There are many sites online that allow you to send messages without specifying the sender, and you can also find applications to install on your smartphone, tablet, or even PC.

However, such methods do not allow you to have a 100% guarantee that the message will be delivered to the number you specified. Since you do not receive a delivery report, as when using the service directly from the operator, you cannot be sure that the addressee will receive it.

Don't forget about confidentiality. Considering that you cannot know who manages a particular resource on the Internet, you cannot guarantee that the recipient’s phone number will not end up in any database. Therefore, we do not recommend using such resources, especially when sending free messages to the numbers of people close and familiar to you.

If you receive an anonymous SMS

Everyone can send a message not from their own number, but through anonymous SMS services completely free of charge to the phone of any operator. Such services are used by many, and not only by those who want to prank their friends over the phone. But identifying the sender is almost impossible.

Sending SMS via the Internet allows you to do it for free, and you can save on messages. Those who often use this method of sending messages already know all the nuances of its use. Recipients are no longer surprised that a message has arrived via the Internet, and many do not forget to sign in the text of the message.

Another use case is pranking friends. A person who receives an anonymous SMS does not always immediately notice the absence of the sender’s number, or the indication of a text value instead.

However, all the positive opportunities of such services are negated by scammers who use them to make illegal profits. Therefore, you should be extremely careful when receiving anonymous messages.

The main condition is to never click on links that may be contained in such SMS. The result of this may be the installation of a malicious program on the device, which will gain access to your phone’s data. Also, the link may hide the activation of a paid service, for which money can be withdrawn from the balance.

If someone you know constantly sends you messages via the Internet, then ask him to always sign at the end of his message so that it is easier for you to identify him.

Separately, it is worth noting the sending of anonymous SMS with the substitution of a telephone number. Such services are not always free, and allow you to specify a number or arbitrary text instead of the sender.

Such services are quite often used by scammers who can indicate the name of a bank or operator instead of the sender so that the user does not doubt its authenticity.

In such cases, you should also be extremely careful, since usually after receiving such messages a call is made to the potential victim. It should be remembered that not a single bank or operator will require you to provide confidential information in the form of codes that are sent to your number via SMS messages.

    Alternatives

You can hide your phone number if you need to send SMS by purchasing a separate SIM card for this. In this case, you will have the opportunity to use SMS, ensuring that your number remains hidden.

Among the advantages of this option is that you will not only be able to send anonymous messages, but have a guarantee that they will be delivered to the recipient. To do this, do not forget to activate the delivery report for sent messages in the settings of the phone you are using.

When using an additional SIM card, it does not matter which operator it belongs to. If you plan to use it only for sending SMS, we recommend choosing a tariff for it without mandatory payment.

But if you use anonymous messages often, then connect the SMS package. This will reduce usage costs by sending messages at a significant discount.

How to avoid becoming a victim of scammers

What should you pay attention to when choosing a resource for anonymously sending SMS? All of them can be divided into two main groups, which allow you to send anonymous SMS without registration, or with registration.

It is also worth noting that not all services offer the service for free. Sometimes you will need to top up your account balance to send anonymous SMS. Usually paid resources promise guaranteed delivery of messages, but with free ones it cannot always find its recipient.

When using sites for sending SMS, you should be extremely careful when choosing them, especially for those that require registration and replenishment of the balance. By transmitting your personal data online and using a payment card, you can run into scammers who can take advantage of them.

You should be especially careful when installing programs for sending anonymous messages to your smartphone. If you decide to install them, then pay attention to the developer, the number of downloads, and read user reviews.

There are often cases when an installed program not only does not deliver your messages, but also uses access to your device data. Therefore, when installing software, you should pay attention to the permissions you grant to the application.

Do not neglect safety, and carefully read this paragraph. Typically, such applications require permission from the user to access contacts, make calls and send messages.

By granting such permissions to unknown people, you can not only transfer your personal data in the form of contacts and call and SMS history, but also the ability to send messages and make calls from your phone, which is what scammers usually take advantage of. They intercept SMS from banks, or request codes for banking transactions through your number.

    Peculiarities

MTS offers to use an option that helps hide the caller's number. Two functions have been developed within the framework of Caller ID:

    1. “Anti-Caller ID”, which allows you to hide the number when calling MTS subscribers within your home region.
    2. “Anti-Caller ID on request” is used if you want to maintain anonymity when calling one or more subscribers. In order for the number not to be identified, you need to dial it in the format: #31#+7 subscriber number. Then press the call key.

In both cases, instead of the usual numbers or the name of the caller, the message “Number hidden” will be displayed on the screen.

    Flaws

There are a number of situations where your contacts may be identified:

    • When using the service, your number will be hidden for subscribers only for outgoing calls. The ban service does not apply to SMS and MMS messages.
    • The person you are calling is a subscriber of another mobile network or also has “Anti-Caller ID” enabled, then the ban on identifying contacts is not guaranteed.
    • If you are already connected, AntiAon will not work and may lead to unnecessary expenses.

    "AntiAON"

The function can be connected in several ways:

    1. Using USSD request *111*46#. After activation, you should receive a message on your phone notifying you of the connection.

    2. In the “Personal Account” on the MTS website. To activate, go to the main menu, select “Services”. Next, find “AntiAON” in the list and check the box next to “Connect”.
    3. Using the My MTS application. Activation also occurs in the “Services” section.
    4. Another option is to call the help desk on 0890. Using the operator's prompts, you can quickly activate the option.

Methods for connecting and disconnecting AntiAON on MegaFon

In the past, MegaFon provided more ways to activate the service. It was possible to hide a mobile phone if a person performed one of the following actions:

    • sending an empty message to 000105501;
    • use of "Service Guide";
    • call the support service (0500, 8 800 550 05 00);
    • visit to a mobile phone store with a passport;
    • execution of a USSD request (command for hiding a number on MegaFon is *105*501#).

Today you can resort to the last three, and instead of “Service Guide”, use your Personal Account or application. MegaFon has also made a change in its USSD request. Now you need to dial *221# to activate. We have also added a way to quickly connect AntiAON on the main website through a special form.

In a personal account or application, the connection occurs in the same way. Once you enter the main menu, click on the “Services and Options” category, and then the “Available” tab. Find AntiAON in the list, click “Connect”. You can disable a hidden number on MegaFon using the same method by clicking the corresponding button. The following remains available for deactivation: assistance from company employees by phone or in the office, combination *221#.

    Price

The price depends on the selected function.

For AntiAON, the subscription fee for use is 3.95 rubles per day. The activation cost depends on the tariff model.

    1. For “Super MTS”, “Red Energy”, “Your Country”, and other models that do not require monthly payment - 17 rubles.
    2. For tariffs that require monthly debiting of funds, such as “MAXI”, “Ultra”, “MTS iPad” - 34 rubles.

For “AntiAON on request” the connection price is 32 rubles . The subscription fee is 1.05 per day. Additionally, 2 rubles are charged per call by hiding the number.

How can I find out if the service is activated?

To find out whether you have activated the AntiAON service or any other service, you need to:

    1. Log in to your personal account and go to the “Options and Services” tab. Then click on the “My” tab. All your connected services will be displayed on the screen.
    2. Dial *583#, which is free. In response, you will receive an SMS with the necessary information.

AntiAON is the answer to the question of how to hide a number on Megafon. This service allows you to make your number invisible to anyone. Any subscriber can use this service, and the price depends on your region of residence.

    Restrictions

Despite the convenience of the function, it is still worth remembering some inconveniences and limitations. The main ones include:

    1. The function is not available for the “Cool” tariff plan.
    2. You cannot use two options at the same time. You can only choose one of two options.
    3. If you make a call to the numbers of other operators, for example, Beeline, Tele2, your number will be determined. The same applies to landline phones.
    4. Not all users answer calls with a hidden address.

    How to connect

You can connect or disconnect the service on any day during the month in two ways:

    1. by dialing *221# ;
    2. in your personal account.

By activating the service, you get the opportunity to permanently hide your number. No matter who you call, they will not see your number. If you want your number to be seen when the service is activated, then you need to dial *31#called number (example: *31#89201234567).

Review of programs that allow you to send SMS with substitution of the sender's number.

I accidentally learned about the ability to send SMS on behalf of anyone.
My friends and I wanted to play a prank on a friend and I decided to search the Internet to see if this was really possible. It turned out that such a service is quite common. The price for such SMS ranges from 3-5 to several tens of rubles. As a result of searches and numerous tests, it turned out that everything is not so simple. As a result, and to help those who want to be able to send SMS with a spoofed number, I am publishing a short review of the software that I could find. I’ll note right away that I was looking for programs, and not sending SMS from a website, because... all the sites that were found offered to send an SMS to a short number in order to be able to send. This method does not inspire confidence - one, and the high price - two. Now about the programs found in the order in which they were issued by Yandex.

    SMSBomba and other viruses.

The first was a certain product called SMSBomba

. You cannot send a spoofed SMS directly on the website - they offer to download their program. Downloaded it. When trying to install, DrWeb reported that the Trojan in the archive - “smsbomba.exe - is infected with Trojan.Fakesms.6”, so the program was not considered further.

In this review, I present it only as an example of the fact that you need to use an antivirus when searching for this kind of software. I came across several more programs with a virus, I won’t talk about all of them.

    SmsTool

The second thing that caught my eye was SmsTool

. There is no website, the program is located in software catalogs. The authors have announced the ability to send SMS with substitution.

    Downloaded it. Result when running:

As far as I understand, there are some libraries missing. Well, that means it’s not fate. Let's continue our search.

    SendSMS3

The third program that I came across is SendSMS3

    from the site www.sidec.ru

The program's capabilities state that it supports sending with substitution. The site is more or less normal, I’m happy to download it. But unfortunately I get:

I thought that maybe I could at least send a regular SMS - but that was not the case. It was not possible to send Peter to MTS - “number error, operator not supported.” After several attempts - “Successfully sent”. No SMS. I tried a few more times. Everything was still “successful”, but I did not receive the SMS. As a result, I received the message “Stop spamming.” I'm still waiting for the SMS.
