SMS - information from MTS Bank: what it is and how to turn it off

The operator offers a lot of additional services to subscribers who connect to MTS. Among them is the widely advertised news content channel “Stay Informed!” This news channel is part of the MTS News service. If you enabled the service yourself or it was already connected as part of a set of services with a new SIM card or a new tariff, it turns out that you are already using several types of incoming content.

If you like constant pop-up messages from the operator on your phone screen for no reason or no reason, then this is your choice. But most often users have a question: how to disable the service?

There are several ways to disable the service. Let's look at each of them carefully.

Device menu

If you disable it yourself using the “MTS Services” section in the main menu of your phone, you may also be unable to receive incoming news reports. You disable your subscription this way:

  1. By clicking on the icon, the “MTS Services” section is opened, then the “MTS News” item is selected, and the “Received” subheading opens. Here you need to delete all incoming messages received.
  2. Then, in the “MTS Services” section in the “MTS News” item, the “Settings” subheading opens and the “Advanced” subsection opens in it, then the “Broadcasting” subsection opens and the “Turn off” option is selected.

from the mobile operator "Beeline"

Provided by Beeline

", as already mentioned, is intended to notify the subscriber about incoming calls during a period of time when his phone is turned off or has lost contact with stations for one reason or another. Having turned on your phone again or established a connection, the subscriber will receive an SMS message with information on all missed calls.

In general, this type of information will be noted in the SMS:

  • Caller's phone number
  • Date and time of the incoming call
  • A special number, when you call to which you can listen to the voice message left (if left) by the caller

The last point is possible due to the fact that it provides additional functions in the form of an answering machine. When a subscriber is unable to reach us, he hears a robot (usually with a female voice) indicating that our number is disconnected, but there is an opportunity to leave us a voice message after the signal. This message can last no more than forty seconds, and the number of such messages can be up to thirty.

If a caller who did not call decides to leave us a voice message, it can be stored in the database for only one day, after which it is automatically deleted from the system. The missed subscriber will pay for the recording of his voice message as if he were just talking to us on the phone, that is, at the rates of his tariff per minute of conversation.

There is also one condition under which the answering machine turns on. If we do not pick up the phone within thirty seconds of an incoming call, then the answering machine automatically turns on, and the calling subscriber can, accordingly, leave his voice message after a special signal.

Operator assistance

If you still can’t figure it out and the disconnection did not happen, you should contact the operator’s technical support service by calling 0890 (for MTS subscribers) or (from another operator’s number) and you will receive an informational SMS message to your device with details the previous option proposed by us is described.

If this does not help, then it is best to visit the salon or company office and carry out the disconnection procedure with the help of a consultant.

The “Stay informed” option from MTS in Belarus is a special service that gives access to many different information resources. From time to time, subscribers receive current news directly to their phones in the form of notifications. This is not always liked by subscribers, which is why the question is relevant: how to disable Be aware of MTS?

MTS - description

The operator himself claims that the presented option is a real guide in the client’s life. The service informs users about:

  1. Current and profitable services.
  2. Interesting news that is happening in our world.
  3. Useful information.
  4. Current poster of current entertainment.

The program receives all information from the main resources, including the following sites:

  • TUT.BY.
  • interfax.by.
  • News service Yandex.
  • lenta.ru.
  • euronews.com, etc.

Thanks to this option, you will not miss a single important event. In addition, MTS Belarus clients can independently download various games and music.

Where do the services come from?

If MTS sends a message that it is giving away a test service, it will turn off by itself. But this has not been the case for many years. But the services are easily connected when changing the tariff plan - unfortunately, this is specified in the conditions for the tariffs. In particular, on MTS, when changing the tariff, voice mail is connected

, leading to the disappearance of about 1.5 rubles/day.

Another reason lies on your side. It is you, the subscribers, who do not want to read the terms of service. If you connect something for two free weeks, you

, not the operator. And there is no need to say that “this is MTS’s problem, let them turn it off themselves.” This is exactly YOUR problem, and MTS benefits from all connected paid services.

The third reason is simple forgetfulness.

.
Many subscribers need a service, connect it themselves or at the office (agreeing to the subscription fee), and then conveniently forget about it (even if they sign an application for connection). The operator has all the means to prove YOUR
involvement in this, only he shows loyalty - that’s all.

How to disable on MTS

You can disable Stay informed about MTS Belarus as follows:

  1. The simplest is to enter the USSD command on your phone *987*0*0#.
  2. Use the online service from MTS. On the official website, log into your personal account, then go to the section with connected services and disable the required one.
  3. Download a special application from MTS. The interface is not much different from the official website. Log in using the same details as in the online service. Find the “My Subscriptions” tab and cancel the one you want.
  4. Contact the nearest operator's office. Explain your question to the employee, provide the necessary data and deactivate the option.
  5. Call technical support at 0890. You must provide passport information to manage options and subscriptions.

Even if we take into account some usefulness of this offer in the form of alerts about promotions, discounts and current news, users do not find it comfortable. The main reason lies in unexpected Push notifications, which some subscribers may accidentally click on. Sometimes such erroneous transitions automatically activate additional services and charge you for them.

In former times, a decent person's day began with reading the latest newspaper, which contained the most relevant and interesting information. The MTS Belarus operator, maintaining good traditions, offers its customers the Be in the know service, which will become a navigator in a huge sea of information.

How to independently disable all paid services and subscriptions from MTS

MTS offers its subscribers many different additional options that make cellular communications more comfortable and functional. So, for example, by connecting, a person will know who, for one reason or another, could not reach him. You can activate it yourself or contact MTS employees - what is this service and how does it work? This question is probably of interest to many clients. It is usually activated automatically when you purchase a SIM card. Subscribers are not always notified about this. If you want to refuse this option, then you can turn off MTS “They called you” at any time.

The principle of its operation is as follows: if the subscriber did not accept a call from another person due to temporary blocking of the number, being outside the network service area, turning off the mobile phone, etc., then after the SIM card becomes active, the subscriber will receive an SMS in which missed calls will be indicated. The text of the message usually contains information about who called and when.

No money is charged for connecting the service, but for further service there is a subscription fee, which is debited daily in the amount of 1.2 rubles.

Sending SMS notifications is free. For those who do not care about information about missed calls, they can easily deactivate the option - deactivation is also carried out free of charge.

For some tariff plans this service is provided free of charge. These include:

  • “Unified”, “Business class”, “Online”, “Smart device”, “MTS Connect”, “Smart home”, “Business Federation”, “Telematics”

In many tariffs it is included in the standard package of options and during the first week of use the subscription fee is not charged. After this period, daily debiting of funds begins.

When activating and further using the service, MTS subscribers should know that:

  • Messages about missed calls will not be received if the call was received after forwarding to this number;
  • Information about missed calls is stored for a maximum of 24 hours;
  • Notification messages are sent on behalf of the subscriber who could not get through.

The “You got a call” option on MTS will not work if:

  • The call is made from a mobile phone on which the “Anti-identifier” function is installed - the service will not be able to recognize the caller’s number;
  • On a phone on which the “You have been called” option is activated, unconditional forwarding is in effect, or calls are forwarded in the case of “Busy” or “Not answering”;
  • There is a ban on incoming calls;
  • Short SMS service is not connected;
  • There is not enough memory for incoming SMS;
  • The Voicemail option is activated.

Notifications about missed calls can be supplemented with information regarding tariff plans, current options, promotional offers, etc. If you activate the option to block information messages from the provider’s website, notifications will not be supplemented with such information.

To connect, the operator offers different options:

  • Using a USSD code - when choosing this method, you need to dial *111*38# on the keyboard and then click on the call;
  • Use your MTS Personal Account - this service is available only to registered users. To get to your page, the user must be authorized. After logging into your personal account, you need to go to the “Service Management” section and activate the desired option.
  • Through the proprietary application “My MTS” - this program is designed for smartphones and has the same functionality as the Personal Account. Therefore, the algorithm for connecting the service is the same as on the website of the cellular communication company MTS;
  • By calling the contact center - to do this, you should call back the number 0890 and, after connecting with a representative of the provider, inform him of your intention to activate the “You have been called” option. Typically, contact center employees independently activate the service, after which the subscriber receives an SMS informing them that the option has been activated;
  • Using a message - send an SMS to number 111 , writing code 21141 .

In addition, you can visit the MTS office and ask a consultant to activate the service. Activation of the service in the office is carried out only if there is a passport of the person in whose name the SIM card is registered.

You can disable MTS using a USSD code, SMS message, on your page, through the My MTS application, by calling the contact center or by visiting the operator’s office in person. Therefore, to remove the option, the subscriber must choose the most convenient method for himself:

  • Dial USSD code *111*38# and click on call. Next you need to enter the number “2” (disable) . After these steps, you will receive an SMS on your phone informing you that the option is disabled.
  • Write a message with the text 21140 , and when indicating the number to which it should be sent, dial 111 .
  • Go to your page (Personal Account), open the “Service Management” tab, then from the list presented, select “They called you” and disable the option. To do this, click on the disable button located next to the service. This way you can deactivate any option.
  • Call the operator back at 0890 and ask the employee to turn it off.
  • Use the application, which must initially be downloaded to your phone. To deactivate the service, you must perform the same steps as when disabling the option in your Personal Account.

It is clear that the need to use this service is determined by each subscriber individually, but it allows you to be aware of who could not get through, and, therefore, not to miss an important conversation. In addition, connecting and disconnecting the service is completely free, and the fee for its use is relatively low.

A switched-on phone in a network coverage area allows you to be in touch all the time, but not everywhere a mobile phone can pick up the network, and sometimes subscribers turn off the device on their own. However, even when outside the access area, Beeline clients can use certain options and functions. “Be informed plus” starts working exactly when the phone is turned off and cannot receive incoming calls.

There is no need to worry about additional costs, as there is no charge for incoming advance alerts.
