With the development of instant messengers, subscribers have almost stopped using classic SMS messages, because communicating in the application is not only easier, but also more profitable. However, there are some customers for whom SMS is still much more convenient. Operators create special services especially for them. Let's look at what SMS options Tele2 offers its subscribers. Let's figure out whether it is possible to activate unlimited SMS and MMS packages, how to add a certain number of messages to a number, and to whom you can send SMS from a Tele2 number.

Option “SMS freedom”

As part of the “SMS freedom” option, the client received 200 unlimited SMS per day, which could be sent to subscribers of all operators. These messages were not charged in any way. If more than 200 messages were sent per day, each new one was paid according to the terms of the tariff plan. Money was also withdrawn separately for messages to short numbers and content provider phones.

The option was relevant throughout Russia - you could send SMS both within your region and to any numbers in other parts of the country. The cost of the option was as follows:

  • From 4 to 8 rubles. per day for each day of use;
  • 20 rub. per day for connecting the function to the number.

The service could be activated on any tariff plan - both current and archived. The terms of “SMS freedom” were valid only when in the home region. If a subscriber went on a trip to Russia, the service was suspended, although the subscription fee for it continued to be charged.

How to activate unlimited SMS

The “SMS freedom” option was managed using simple USSD requests:

  • * 155 * 21 # - connection;
  • * 155 * 20 # - shutdown;
  • * 155 * 2 # - check the status and number of remaining unlimited SMS.

You could also connect on the official website and in the Tele2 application, by calling the hotline and in the communication salon. Unfortunately, at the moment “SMS freedom” has been moved to the archive. No replacements have been developed for it, so it is now impossible to connect unlimited SMS to Tele2. But the operator has other relevant SMS options for users.

What is KMS Lighthouse

KMS Lighthouse is a mobile technology that provides quick and convenient access to up-to-date business information. It was developed by the IT company “KROK” and DIS Group. Lighthouse can also be combined with an application processing system, online technical support chat, CRM systems and other business solutions. This is a flexible and convenient offer that has no analogues on the Russian market. By combining the knowledge system with the product catalog and automated data updating, it allows you to significantly reduce costs. KMS is used by consultants in Tele2 communication stores, as well as by operators in technical support on the operator’s hotline. SMS packages for a subscription fee

As part of the option, the subscriber receives a certain number of SMS messages, which are charged at the beginning of the billing period for a month in advance. There are 2 options for monthly SMS packages:

  • “100 SMS” for 100 rubles. per month;
  • “300 SMS” for 200 rubles. per month.

The options are incompatible with each other: if you have activated a package for 300 SMS, adding another 100 SMS per month to it will not work.

You can spend SMS on any mobile numbers in Russia. When the package is exhausted, the cost of each SMS message is calculated according to the terms of the tariff plan. It is impossible to connect these services on tariffs that were used before the fall of 2021. The only exceptions will be the archived versions “Black” and “My Tele2”.

How to connect

To activate SMS options, Tele2 suggests using short USSD commands:

  • Connection - * 155 * 971 # for “100 SMS”, * 155 * 981 # for “300 SMS”;
  • Disable – * 155 * 970 # for “100 SMS”, * 155 * 980 # for “300 SMS”;
  • Checking status and balances - * 155 * 97 # for “100 SMS”, * 155 * 98 # for “300 SMS”.

You can also always use your Tele2 personal account on the operator’s website or application. There you need to find the required option in the list of all services and either add it to the number or disable it. You can also call consultants at 611 or visit the nearest Tele2 store with your passport.

Current progress of KMS Lighthouse

Back in December 2021, when the product was first announced, over 13,000 articles about products, services and nuances of the company’s work were entered into the knowledge system. At the start of the CMS, over 11,000 people used the Tele2 knowledge base - these were both call center workers and consultants in retail communication stores. During a working day, Tele2 employees contact Lighthouse over 50,000 times. The source is constantly updated and updated online, and the latest data is sent to all employees of the company. This allows you to avoid misunderstandings, customer misinformation and serious operational errors that may arise due to untimely manual updating of the database. The savings achieved with Lighthouse are also impressive. At the very launch of the product, the system helped save 4,500 man-hours on updating information. And automatic content migration has already saved over 16,200 man-hours.

One-time SMS packages

Unlike the previous option, these SMS options offer packages of a certain size not for a month in advance, but one-time. As soon as such a package ends, you can immediately connect a new one.

If the need for SMS messages disappears, you can simply not add the option anymore. As with monthly packages, Tele2 offers 2 filling options:

  • “Plus 100 SMS” for 100 rubles;
  • “Plus 300 SMS” for 200 rubles.

You can send them to any subscribers within the country without restrictions, but only to mobile numbers. Messages to short numbers are charged separately. The options are not compatible with each other, but they can be combined with monthly SMS packages. That is, you can connect both “100 SMS” and “Plus 100 SMS” at the same time. Messages from the one-time package will be consumed first, and after it ends, messages from the monthly package will be consumed. Despite the fact that the package is called “one-time”, it also has a validity period. If you do not use up your messages within 30 days, they will expire. There is no transfer to a new billing period. You cannot add one-time SMS packages to tariff plans connected before November 2021, with the exception of the “Black” and “My Tele2” offers.

How to connect

To manage SMS services, you can use the following USSD requests:

  • Connection - * 155 * 951 # for “Plus 100 SMS”, * 155 * 961 # for “Plus 300 SMS”;
  • Disable — * 155 * 950 # for “Plus 100 SMS”, * 155 * 960 # for “Plus 300 SMS”;
  • Checking status and balances - * 155 * 95 # for “Plus 100 SMS”, * 155 * 96 # for “Plus 300 SMS”.

To enable and disable options, you can also use your Personal Account on the website and in the application. There you can also find out the current SMS balances - information about them is in the “Package balances” section. You can also activate options by calling 611 or visiting the nearest Tele2 office.

Market Tele2

If you don’t have enough SMS messages, but the volume of packages from the operator does not suit you, you can contact the Tele2 Market. This is a special trading platform where you can buy or sell any service packages.

Any subscribers who do not use the “Unlimited”, “Social” or “Premium” tariff plans can purchase an SMS package here. It is also important that your tariff includes the ability to exchange SMS messages. The conditions for registering lots in the Tele2 Market are as follows:

  • You cannot sell less than 50 SMS;
  • One message cannot cost less than 50 kopecks.

That is, the minimum price for purchased messages is 25 rubles. 100 SMS can be purchased for 50 rubles, and 300 SMS for 150 rubles. This is noticeably more profitable than the offers of the operator itself. SMS and minutes in the Market are not the most popular goods, so they are usually offered at minimal prices.

How to buy SMS

To purchase a message package in the browser version, do the following:

  1. Open the Market at tele2.ru/stock-exchange.
  2. Enter your phone number and password to log in.
  3. Switch to the “SMS” tab.
  4. Scroll down the page and switch to the volume range you are looking for. This could be 50-100 SMS, 101-200 SMS or more than 200 SMS.
  5. Click on the package size that suits you. You will be redirected to a new page.
  6. Click on the appropriate price tag. A drop-down menu will open here, where you can select any seller you like or click on the “See all” button to see more options.
  7. Click on the “Buy” button and confirm your purchase.

Wait for the system to confirm your purchase. The money will be debited from your account immediately, and the selected package will be added to your number over time. This usually takes from 3-5 minutes to an hour. If there is not enough money to pay, you will see an error message on the screen.

For users who prefer to communicate via SMS messages, Tele2 has several current offers. These include one-time SMS packages of 100 or 300 pieces, as well as monthly options. They cost 100 or 200 rubles. - depending on the volume. Previously, the operator offered 200 free messages as part of the “SMS freedom” option. Now it is archived, and Tele2 has not released other unlimited SMS options to replace it. If you need a smaller SMS package or want to save money, you can purchase messages in the Tele2 Market. There, packages are sold by users, and they are noticeably cheaper than those from the operator itself.
