As you know, when connecting to Rostelecom, each subscriber receives his own personal account number. All connected services are linked to this number. In very rare cases, one user has different personal accounts for the Internet and television. But within the company, each personal account is divided into several subaccounts for ease of payment accounting. Regular payments for equipment are also placed in a separate sub-account.
In order for a Rostelecom user to pay for television, he just needs to come to the bank and give his personal account number and service. But very often subscribers forget that the monthly subscription fee does not include a fee for the set-top box; this must be reported to the bank employee separately. The same situation arises with self-payment. Even if you deposit an amount from the card, including the subscription and the cost of rent, it will only go to your TV account, and the debt for the equipment will begin to accumulate. To avoid this, it is important to know the correct payment procedure.
Interactive TV Rostelecom - connection and setup
After concluding an agreement with Rostelecom on the services provided, the client becomes the temporary (and sometimes permanent) owner of the interactive set-top box and is forced to wait for several days for a company employee to connect the service and start watching TV.
Stop depending on the always late masters (suddenly you need to transfer equipment to another apartment or move it to the next room) - become the master of the situation!
It is better to start connecting within a day, when your documents have been processed and entered into the database, and all settings are connected and activated. Connect the set-top box to the TV using a special power cord, and simply insert the cable into the modem and use all the options provided!
To configure the control panel, press the combination 991 and the button that scrolls through channels. As soon as you see the TV screen turn off, it means the code has been selected for it and you need to save the current channel by pressing the OK button (in this case, the indicators under the TV set-top box will go out twice and light up again).
After setup, we recommend “rebooting” (turning on and off) the equipment and checking the sound. If it works, the television setup is complete.

However, the convenience of such a function can turn into minor troubles - you want, for example, to make the screen brighter, and accidentally connect an additional channel. And if there are kids living in the house, the likelihood of paying much more than usual is quite high.

The devices allow users to install several gadgets and computers at the same time, without additional cables from the provider. programs and modern series. Connecting a package of additional channels is a good way to escape from reality and watch exactly what you like.
The difficulty is that you will not be able to switch from the services of the standard package and will pay the standard tariff, regardless of the additional channels connected. There is also difficulty in connecting and disconnecting packet channels. If they are connected the next day after the application, then they are turned off only on the last day of the month. You can find yourself in a situation where an application to disable an additional option was submitted on the 2nd, but the deactivation occurred on the 31st, that is, you have to pay for another month for a channel you don’t need.
Additional channels can be connected, tested and disabled, however, if the option has been active for at least five minutes, payment will be charged as per day of use, which will be displayed on the payment receipt.
Terms of redemption
Above we looked at whether it is possible to buy out a Rostelecom set-top box and how to do it. According to the company’s rules, this option is available to everyone, but subject to several conditions:
- There is no debt for the provision of services. Before you buy a TV set-top box or router from Rostelecom, make sure you pay the full amount for the services received.
- The client is ready to pay the difference in one tranche. According to the terms of the contract, a mandatory condition is payment of the full cost, taking into account payments already made. Rostelecom does not provide for the purchase of a TV set-top box or router in parts.
- The appropriate application has been submitted (in person or online). To obtain ownership of the equipment (purchase it), you must contact the provider with a corresponding request.
- The lease agreement executed between the company and the client is still valid.
