What is Lifecell: some interesting facts
Lifecell is one of the largest mobile operators in Ukraine, which was launched back in 2005. Until 2021, Ukrainians knew Lifecell as “Life:)”, but the company has rebranded. All services are provided according to GSM-EDGE, UMTS-HSPA+ and LTE Advanced Pro standards. At the end of 2021, Lifecell was used by more than 11 million Ukrainians. The coverage area exceeds 98% of the country's settlements. Roaming has already spread to 196 countries around the world through the networks of half a thousand partners.
There are three network codes: “63”, “73” (new) and “93”. Ukraine saw these numbers so long ago that 9 out of 10 of all residents of our state recognize them.

account.live.com Skype something went wrong - what to do?
When trying to log into their Skype account, the user may suddenly encounter a “Something went wrong” message and a recommendation to visit account.live.com to fix problems with the account. This is usually associated with temporary freezing of access to a user account due to suspicions of hacking, spamming, and other relevant reasons.
Personal account functionality
On the official website of the operator, the subscriber will be able to find answers to his questions and manage the tariff options without the help of the operator.
Your personal account allows you to:
- find out the specifics of tariffs;
- obtain detailed information about the cost of services and the procedure for their provision;
- connect and disconnect services;
- view service packages;
- change tariff plan;
- top up your balance for yourself and your friends;
- view payment history;
- link an e-mail address to your account and change the service language;
- block the number.
Access to your personal account is possible if you have a Life:) SIM card.
Causes of “Something went wrong” dysfunction in Skype
The problem in question can occur both when you first launch your Skype, and with your Skype account that you have been using for years. When you try to log into your account, you receive the message “Something went wrong,” a notification that there are problems with your Microsoft account, and a recommendation to go to account.live.com to correct the dysfunction.
The reasons for the “something went wrong” error are approximately the following:
- There are problems with Skype servers. In some cases, Skype servers may be unstable, which causes problems with users logging into their accounts;
- The system suspects your account has been hacked. This may be due to spam or virus mailing from your account, attempts to log into it simultaneously from different IP addresses, etc.;
- You repeatedly entered the wrong password when trying to log into your account. The system identified this as an attempt to hack the account and temporarily blocked it;
- You tried to log into Skype from another (suspicious for the system) device. For example, if you have been logging into Skype from a Russian IP for a long time, then an attempt to log in from an IP from some New Guinea will seem suspicious to the system, and it will block your account;
- You are using an unstable version of the desktop Skype program (if you recently downloaded and installed it);
- You have an unstable Internet connection.
Let's look at how to fix the account.live.com login problem in Skype.

Registration in the account
In the upper right corner of the main page of the site there is a button to enter your personal account. Click on it, then select “Other tariffs and services”.
If you are not yet a subscriber, on the main page of the site you can order a SIM card with free delivery. If you already have a SIM card, enter your number at the top of the form. To obtain the password, insert the card into the phone, turn it on and dial *120#, then follow the instructions on the screen. You can also get a password by clicking on the “Set password here” sign. The first login to your personal account can be done using the code PUK1, which is indicated on the packaging of the connection kit. In this case, check the box next to “First time on the site.” The received password is temporary; it is recommended to immediately change it in the settings to a more secure one.
Check if there are any problems with Skype servers
First of all, we recommend checking if there are any problems with the Skype servers. Visit the resources support.skype.com and downdetector.com to make sure that developers and users are not signaling widespread problems with the service.
If there are problems, we recommend waiting for some time until the support service https://support.skype.com/ru/skype/all/ restores the normal functionality of the resource.

Security and privacy rules
For security reasons, do not tell anyone your password to access your personal account or other personal information. Do not save your password on someone else's computer. If someone else might be using your computer, be sure to log out.
Be vigilant and do not fall for the tricks of scammers who send fake SMS about big winnings, to receive which you need to transfer money to the organizers’ account. Do not click on links received in messages; they may lead to your device becoming infected with viruses. Always check the accuracy of the information received, and if you have any questions, contact your mobile operator directly.
How to restore your number, block your old SIM card and get a new one
To do this, you need to contact one of the Lifecell stores directly. You must take an identification document with you (passport, driver's license, student ID, etc.). Be prepared for the manager to ask a number of questions aimed at identifying the user:
- secret word, if any;
- two numbers to which calls are most often made;
- balance (how much money is left in the account), what tariff plan;
- other questions, if necessary.
Such procedures are not free, their cost is 50 hryvnia (including all commissions). Usually, 10 minutes are enough to restore the number.
How to call a Lifecell operator
Unfortunately, there is no “instant” way to call an operator. To ask questions to a living person, you will have to “talk” a little with the robot, one by one typing the required numbers (there is no need to wait until the “piece of hardware” speaks all the points):
- call number 5433 (only from Lifecell SIM card);
- go to the main menu (the difficulty of this process is that the robot can offer completely different things, and to go to the “main”, you need to agree with it to receive SMS information - press “1”);
- after entering the main menu you need to enter the number “5”;
- press “5” again;
- we reach the “finish line”, press either anything, from 1 to 4;
- press “0”, then “0” again, wait for a connection with a Lifecell representative.
There is another, no less “lumpy” method: call 0-800-20-5433. You can call a robot using this number from any SIM card, be it Vodafone or Kyivstar, as well as from a landline. If you call from Lifecell, the process is carried out exactly the same as when dialing the number “5433”. For subscribers of other operators, the procedure is simpler: select the language (press “1” or “2”), press “0”, wait for the operator.
You can contact the Lifecell call center online by visiting a special website. To do this, you will need to fill out the following fields: “Name”, “Phone number”, “Email address”, “Your question” and click on “Start a conversation”.
Business services
The company offers several separate products for business representatives - mobile Internet, additional services and tariffs. On the website you can see the current tariffs for Internet, calls and additional services.
The portal describes the procedure for providing services to this category of subscribers, the documents that must be provided for connection, as well as the details necessary for making payment.
Lifecell USSD codes - quick access to information
Visiting a Lifecell subscriber’s personal account when you need to quickly find out some information, for example, account balance, is not very convenient, and sometimes (if there is no Internet), even impossible. Not a problem, because you can always dial a short USSD number and press the call button. In response, a window with the necessary information will pop up on your phone. YUSSD code is a command cipher, of which the Lifecell operator has come up with quite a few.
Basic USSD codes of Lifecell.
1. *161# plus call button - a way to check your personal phone number and tariff plan . In addition to this information, the subscriber will see the following items in the window that appears (they may change):
- details of the tariff plan (press “1” to go);
- check the activation date of the number (enter two - “2”);
- download BiP (offer, which can be found by pressing “3”).
2. *111# - check account (balance). In the window, the subscriber will also see the presence of bonuses and any advertising offer, for example, to install meloring instead of annoying beeps. You can quickly find out how much money is left on the card in another way. To do this, you need to visit the Lifecell SIM card menu and select the “Balance” item.
3. *121# - additional information about the status of the active tariff (how many free minutes are left, megabytes of Internet, SMS messages). The window will also indicate the next payment date for the tariff (monthly), as well as the validity date of the number (usually, with the active use of a SIM card, the subscriber has a year left; when the card is topped up, the dates are updated).
4. *117*1# - borrow money . Very often it happens to us that we need to make a call urgently, but there are no funds in our account - no problem, Lifecell has taken care of this too. It is worth noting that you can use the service only if the SIM card has been in use for more than 3 months, and in the last 60 days at least 15 hryvnia has been “deposited” on the balance. You can disable the automatic lending service (the balance goes negative when expenses exceed) at any time. You can also take out a loan by calling the operator’s call center at 0-800-20-5433, or simply “5433”. If you “get out of the negative balance” within two weeks, this service will be completely free.
5. *124# - “sending a homeless person” or “please call me back . After activating the code, you will need to select “Upravlenie schetom” in the menu that appears, then select “Perezvoni mne”. Next, we indicate the number of the subscriber who really needs to be called at his expense. Another, faster way is to enter the following combination: *124*3*recipient’s “homeless” number# and call button (we write everything without spaces, do not confuse asterisks and hash marks).
