Cellular communications today are more important than ever; almost every resident of Russia has a mobile phone or smartphone. One of the popular cellular operators in Russia is Tele2.
In order to actively use communication services, you need to register a SIM card . This procedure is necessary in the following cases:
- When purchasing a new SIM card;
- When issuing a duplicate , which is issued due to the loss of a mobile device, or when the SIM card was damaged and stopped working;
- If a SIM card is blocked due to theft or loss of a mobile device, the blocking is carried out immediately; you need to contact a communication shop and report the problem;
After reading this article, everyone will understand how to register a Tele2 SIM card.
Activation of a new Tele2 SIM card
If the activation of the SIM card in the Tele2 communication salon was not carried out for any reason, then this procedure is easy to perform independently.
First, you need to squeeze out a card of the desired format (micro, nano) from the plastic base, insert it into the receiver, taking into account the cut on one side, and turn on the phone. Next, you need to enter the PIN code indicated on the plastic base where the SIM card was secured. Some SIM cards from Tele2 do not require entering a PIN code.
After this, the SIM card must register with the network. Until the Tele2 operator network is found, you will not be able to call customer service and activate the SIM card. If the phone does not automatically detect a new operator, then you need to set up a manual network search through the phone settings menu.
Very often, an error when registering a SIM occurs for two reasons:
- The wrong network mode is set in the phone settings. In some regions, the operator provides services only in 3G (WCDMA) and 4G (LTE). This problem is described in more detail in the article “Why the phone does not see the Tele2 SIM card.”
- In devices that support two cards, one of the card readers supports only 2G (GSM) format. Naturally, you won’t be able to activate a Tele2 SIM card in this slot.
Having successfully completed the network search stage, all that remains is to complete the last step - call the toll-free number 610. In response, a message will appear on the screen confirming successful activation. Now you can fully use all mobile communication services provided by the Tele2 mobile operator.
If you couldn’t get rid of the error during registration on your own, then you should contact the technical support service by calling 611. Perhaps solving the problem requires an individual approach.
In the most extreme case, you will have to visit the Tele2 subscriber service center with your passport, whose employees will accurately determine the reason why the SIM card could not be activated immediately.
Why it doesn’t activate, and what to do if there are registration errors
It happens that due to some circumstances the subscriber still fails to register his number in the system. An error when registering a SIM card occurs in the following cases.
- Mechanical damage to the card. As a rule, this is noticeable to the naked eye - there are scratches, cracks, and chips on the plastic. If such a problem is diagnosed, you should contact the nearest sales office and write a request for restoration.
- Contacts are dirty or oxidized. They can be rubbed with an eraser or cleaned with alcohol.
- Mobile device failure. If the phone does not accept another, obviously working, card, then it needs to be taken in for repair.
- SIM card inactivity. This applies to valid numbers. Usually the problem is due to the fact that the SIM card has not been used for a long time, and it has been temporarily (or permanently) blocked.
If none of the above methods helped solve the problem (the card is still not registered on the network, the dialog box does not pop up, etc.), you will have to take your SIM card, passport, phone and head to the nearest service center. All problems that arise will be quickly resolved here.
What to do in a situation where the SIM card was successfully activated, but the “no network” icon is displayed on the device indicator? Most likely, the card is simply inserted incorrectly into the device slot. If after checking the problem is not solved, you should test another SIM card in the device or try inserting yours into another phone.
Activation of a duplicate
Like any thing, a SIM card can be damaged, stolen or lost. Whatever happens, the subscriber can always count on receiving a duplicate while maintaining the number and balance on the mobile account. Let's take a closer look at how to activate a Tele2 SIM card, or rather a copy of it.
It is best to go through the activation stage directly in the communication store immediately after receiving the duplicate. The representative of the cellular company will perform all the necessary actions and provide you with a card with which you can make calls, send messages and access the Internet.
If it is not possible to get to one of the subscriber service centers, then activating a duplicate Tele2 SIM card is possible over the telephone. In this case, the actions are performed in the following way:
- a call is made to the operator from another mobile phone with a tariff from Tele2 to number 611 or from a landline phone to the corresponding regional technical support number;
- call passport data, confirming the right to a restored number;
- at the request of the operator, dictate the ICC code indicated on the back of the duplicate.
Within a minute, the call center employee will transfer the settings from the previous SIM card, which will allow you to fully use the new card.
How can subscribers of different mobile operators register?
There is no point in dwelling in detail on the registration procedure at company offices - their employees themselves must guide clients on the spot. We asked mobile operators about the algorithm for completing the procedure independently. Not everyone is ready to fully present them yet.
Beeline
Phones served in the Beeline operator network before January 1, 2019 are automatically registered in the local system and transferred to the identification code database (BDIC). Automatically - this means that the operator sees in his systems all three parameters IIN, MSISDN (subscriber number) and IMEI (device number), which will be transferred to the BDIC.
The subscriber only needs to check that his number is registered correctly and that he has an IIN. If the IIN is missing, you must provide the missing information to the operator for inclusion in the database. You can check the correctness of registration by dialing *835# from the Beeline number and pressing the dial button. In response, the subscriber will receive an SMS with his data, which is available from the mobile operator.
You can register in one of the following ways:
- Send your IIN (12 digits) to the short number 6914 from the Beeline number.
- Dial *691#.
- Call number 6914. Opening hours: 09:00 – 01:00.
- Send IIN in the “My Beeline” application.
- Send data via QIWI terminals when replenishing your balance.
Tele2 and Altel
Tele2 and Altel offered several ways to register phones:
- send your IIN to short number 6914 from Tele2 number;
- dial the command *6914#;
- contact the Tele2 communication salon;
- enter your IIN in a special field and click on the “Submit” button on the Internet resources https://imei.altel.kz or https://imei.tele2.kz. When opening these sites via the Tele2 or Altel data network, the subscriber number is determined automatically (while the sites are operating in test mode).
To check which IMEI devices have already been registered with a number, you need to dial *6914#. You can check whether your subscriber number is registered correctly using the command *835# or in your personal account on the operator’s website.
To re-register the device and deregister the device, the subscriber must contact the Tele2 and Altel communication salon.
Kcell and Activ
Kcell and Activ subscribers have two ways to register their phones. They can send the IIN via SMS and USSD command.
The easiest way is to register via SMS. The subscriber will receive an SMS from the short number 6006 with information about the required registration. In response, you need to send your IIN. Or you can independently send an SMS to number 6006 with your IIN number. After this, the subscriber will receive a message stating that the information has been accepted for further registration.
The second method is to dial the USSD command *660# and the dial button on your phone, after which a field will open in which you need to enter your IIN and click the “Submit” button. Registration information will be accepted.
Tablets, smart watches, such as Apple Watch, children's GPS watches, modems, routers - also need to be registered. Kcell subscribers can do this in their personal account on the websites kcell.kz and activ.kz.
Registering a new Tele2 SIM card
There are 2 ways by which you can activate a new card:
- through a call to the service number;
- through repeated contact to the television system salon.
Contacting the office
If it is not difficult for you to come to the mobile operator’s salon again (after purchasing a starter package), then the following information will be useful to you:
When going to the television system salon, take with you an identification document, a SIM card and the agreement concluded with the provider when purchasing the starter package.
At the Tele2 office, ask an employee to help you with your question and present the necessary documents. After this, the company employee will independently register the SIM card in the system, which you will be informed about in SMS format. The activation itself may take up to 2 hours.
Self-activation via a call to the service number
You can activate the Tele2 SIM card yourself. To do this, you need to do a number of simple steps on your cellular device (phone, smartphone or tablet):
- remove the card from the packaging slot, insert it into your mobile device and restart the gadget;
- after reboot, enter the PIN code;
- after turning on the mobile device, call the toll-free number 610;
- Immediately in the dialing field, the voice bot will notify you about the activation of the card in the system.
Immediately after this, you can fully use Tele2 communication services.
And also in order to control your mobile spending, find out about new tariffs and promotions, immediately after you activate a new Tele2 SIM card, we advise you to register in your personal account of the television system.
The registration itself is quite simple:
- go to the mobile operator’s website and press the “Registration” button;
- then you will see empty lines in which you will need to enter your data, login and password (you can come up with it yourself);
- After filling out the fields and pressing the “Login” button, you can go to your personal account.
By the way, through your Personal Account you can not only change tariff plans, enable and disable options, or use mobile banking. Using your personal account, you can also block or restore your SIM card.
For convenience, holders of tablet computers, smartphones or iPhones can download a special application “Tele2 Personal Account” to their cellular device.
Re-registration upon change of owner
It often happens that one user passes the phone to another. This procedure must be formalized legally, since the transfer process means not only the delivery of the gadget, but also its deregistration.
The implementation of the event is as follows: the current owner must dial the command *6916# and send the IIN. Only after this the new owner organizes registration of the device in his name.
For those who cannot carry out the re-registration procedure on their own, there is the opportunity to visit a communication salon. You need to take with you an ID card and the device itself, which is supposed to be deregistered.
Tele2: how to activate a lost or blocked SIM card
If the card was blocked by the system, for example due to its theft or loss, it will be possible to restore its further operation only through the office.
To do this, the subscriber (with a passport) needs to visit the nearest television system salon and inform the company employee about his problem. After filling out the necessary documents, a new card will be ordered for the client.
The user will be informed about the SIM card readiness time by telephone or SMS. You can pick it up at the same office.
In the case when the SIM card was turned off at the request of the client, it is possible to activate it again. To do this, you can use several unlocking options:
- through your personal account;
- by calling 610;
- in the television system office.
However, if the card was blocked due to incorrect entry of the PIN code (3 times) and PAC code (10 times), it cannot be restored.
If your SIM card was turned off due to debt, then to turn it on you just need to top up your mobile account or pay off the debt.
Also, the SIM card can turn off if the subscriber does not use it for more than six months. In this case, you will also have to contact the mobile operator’s service center for help. The address of the nearest office in your locality can be found on the television system website.
Important! You will be able to get your number back only if it is free, since if the card is not used for a long time (more than 6 months), the number is put up for free sale again.
Possible problems
Self-activation is not always successful. If the subscriber has not used the card for a very long time, it will be impossible to restore the number. The deadline for unblocking is no later than 6 months after the number was frozen. Nuances that will not allow you to register a SIM card:
- Faulty mobile device.
- Damaged card (damaged/broken).
- No internet connection.
- More than 6 months have passed since the blocking.
- The phone settings have failed.
- Flight mode is enabled (airplane icon).
- The user is outside the network coverage area.
- The person has an old phone or the slot is not suitable for the card.
- Temporary network problems.
If the screen on your smartphone shows that only emergency calls are possible or there is no network, then a number of actions will help correct the situation:
- rebooting the smartphone;
- removing the SIM from the slot;
- re-enter the PIN code;
- change in dislocation;
- changing parameters in “Settings”;
- dialing a number 70550.
You can call the emergency service from a mobile phone at 8-951-520-06-11 or 611 . You can get help from the office staff. The addresses of a specific region or city are listed on the provider’s official portal. To get to this page, you need to find the “Mobile Communications” section and select “Sales Offices” in the columns that open.
How to register a new number?
You can purchase a Tele2 starter package at the company’s customer service center. Here you can independently choose a convenient number, as well as find out about all the tariff plans and services available in your region.
You can find out the address of the nearest mobile phone store on the operator’s official website (ru.tele2.ru) in the “Our Regions” section.
Activation of a new SIM card is carried out by a representative of the operator, as a rule, after concluding a contract for the provision of services. If you did not purchase the starter package at an official representative office of the company or for some reason the card was not activated, you can carry out this procedure yourself. So, how to connect to the operator’s network yourself?
- Remove the SIM card from the starter pack and insert it into your mobile phone.
- Turn on the device. Enter the four-digit PIN code found on the plastic base. As a rule, the Tele2 operator has a default PIN code of “0000”. Be extremely careful when entering the code. After 3 unsuccessful attempts, the PIN code will be blocked. In order to unlock it you will need to enter an eight-digit PUK code.
- Once turned on, the device will automatically connect to the network.
- Call 611.
- After this, you will receive a notification that the SIM card is registered. Now you can use all Tele2 services.
After activation, it is recommended to register in the “Personal Account” system on the operator’s official website (ru.tele2.ru). On the website you can get information about current tariffs and services in your region and connect all the necessary options.
Registration of a restored card or duplicate
It often happens that for various reasons you have to make a duplicate card, which can be obtained at the Tele2 office; for this you should have your passport with you. Registration of a restored card is not difficult; in fact, a duplicate is a card without an associated number, that is, after issuance, you cannot make calls to the card. To activate, you need to call 610 and dictate the ICC number indicated either on the card itself, or an office employee will give it to you. The operator will ask you to dictate your passport details and reference number. Everything is quite simple and fast.
Why is my SIM card blocked?
Tele2 mobile communications is a relatively young network. However, you will find a lot of advantages in it. One of them is the many options for using SIM cards. If you have attempted to activate a new chip, but the network is unavailable for some reason, most likely the reason is that you entered the code incorrectly. If you type incorrect characters three times, you will be automatically blocked. Whether you have an old or new phone card, options may become unavailable due to a negative balance. Blocking also happens due to prolonged neglect of communication. The number is automatically disconnected. The problem may also be due to a broken SIM card. In this case, activation will not help.
In the latter case, they will offer to get a new chip while maintaining the old number. Any situation can be resolved by going to the office or calling 611. Most problems can be corrected using your personal account. If you use Tele2 communications, let your provider resolve the problems. The network is not only about communication and the Internet, it is about taking care of customers.
Tele2 Kazakhstan the most necessary things
Tele2 Kazakhstan is one of the leading mobile operators in Kazakhstan. Subscribers are growing exponentially, and - this is not surprising! Because Tele2 is famous for its cheapness and good quality.
After entering Kazakhstan, many users of other operators began to switch, in most cases, to tele2.
Many newcomers to the tele2 cellular operator do not know the most basic things and write a search phrase in Google and Yandex like:
- How to find out your tariff plan - how to find out your number on tele2 - operator number tele2 Kazakhstan - Internet tele2 Kazakhstan and much more...
In this article I will write the most necessary things for a Tele2 user. Which will not hurt to know!
Emergency telephone numbers are standard commands throughout the republic, on all cellular operators.

Short numbers by calling, by which you can find out or activate this or that service quickly!
Tele2 Personal Account Functionality
Most modern cellular operators, and not only within the Russian Federation, position personal account systems as the best way to manage your SIM card and time. Having registered in the system once, the subscriber forever gets rid of the need to waste his time contacting the operator’s contact center, clarifying issues related to his tariff plan, connected services, and other topics.
If we try to highlight the main functions that are inherent in any personal account, including LC from Tele2, then it is necessary to note the following:
- Top up your account balance;
- View current information about the status and conditions of the tariff package;
- Changes in tariff plans;
- Suspension of the TP;
- Connecting and disabling additional services;
- Checking packages of minutes, messages and traffic;
- Order invoice details;
- Using a loyalty program.
However, the list described above can be continued, if not indefinitely, then for a very long time, since the functionality of your personal account can rightfully be called extensive.
Why registration is needed
According to Article 36-2 of the Law of the Republic of Kazakhstan “On Communications”, the owner of the phone must register it in the operator’s network. The procedure is free, but without this it is impossible to obtain communication services. Communication services are provided only after concluding an agreement with the subscriber and authorizing the number.
Phone registration takes place using an individual identification number (IIN), which every citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan has. The law came into force on May 23, 2021 and should reduce the number of thefts of mobile devices.
All devices with a SIM card are subject to authorization: smartphones, tablets, routers, modems, and so on.
Machine-type devices between which information is exchanged are not registered. There is also no need to register various sensors and payment terminals, even if they have a SIM card.
Numbers are registered in Altel using IIN, which can be found in your passport or ID card:
Any number of devices can be registered for one user. But at the same time, one device can only be registered to one owner.
How to register in your Tele2 personal account
If you are a subscriber of the Tele2 operator and do not use the “Personal Account” self-service system, this is a big mistake. Believe me, once you create a personal account and start using it, you will soon not be able to understand how you ever lived without such an indispensable tool. Fortunately, the registration procedure itself is not complicated and is completed in just a few minutes.
So, to register in your Tele2 personal account you need to do the following:
- Visit the company's official website located at tele2.ru.
- Select your home region, which is most likely to be correctly recognized by the site automatically.
- Look through the resource interface and find the “Login” button at the top of the site, located on the right side.
- On the next page, navigate to the “By number and password” tab.
- Click on the “Remember or get your password” link.
- On the next page you will see a window in which you need to enter your phone number.
- Click on the "Continue" button.
- Wait for a text message to arrive at the specified phone number. It will contain a code that must be printed at the next stage of registration in the system. After sending the received code, you will find yourself in your personal account interface.
In the future, you will be able to log in to your personal account by entering your phone number and this code, and if you have such a need, you can change the access password to your personal account to any other one that will be easier for you to remember.
Freezvon
The Freezvon online service provides paid virtual mobile numbers to Tele2. Visually they are no different from standard mobile phones. Incoming/outgoing calls are made via SIP telephony through an installed SIP application (Zoiper or X-lite) or without additional software - from an IP phone.
Note. SIP is the current communication of data transmission over the Internet. Used on smartphones, computers, tablets, IP phones. Calls to mobile phones are supported. The principle of operation differs from standard telephone communication. Using the SIP protocol, information sent by the user is compressed and divided into packets. After delivery to the recipient, it is decoded and takes on its original form (available for listening, viewing).
To use the SIP application, you must submit an application to the service's technical support to obtain a SIP account. After some time, you will be provided with your free profile credentials. Use it to make calls in your region and abroad at low rates. If you need the subscribers you are talking to to be able to see your phone, additionally activate the Caller ID service on the service.
It is possible to make calls and send SMS not only within the operator’s network, but also to other numbers, including abroad. Tele2 subscribers contacting you via virtual mobile will pay for the conversation according to the local tariff. Even if you are in another country.
After purchasing a number in the personal account on the service website, the subscriber sets forwarding from a virtual phone to a cell/landline phone (paid service) or SIP (IP phone), Skype (free). If necessary, the forwarding direction can be changed using an option in the profile.
To receive SMS, you can set the following directions in your personal account:
- mobile phone (paid delivery service);
- by email (free).
And for sending messages, a function of the same name is provided in your personal account. You need to go to the appropriate tab, enter the SMS text and the number of the recipient (or recipients, if mass mailing is required) in international format. Then activate the sending and confirm the operation.
To connect a Tele2 virtual number to Freezvon you will need to complete the following steps:
2. Click on the “Buy a number!” button on the right side of the top of the page.
3. Fill out the registration form:
“Select type...” – in the drop-down list, select the type according to the required operations. For universal use, the best option is “Calls and SMS”.
“... country” – indicate “Russia Mobile”.
“... city” – in the list, click on the “Tele2” item.
“Setting up forwarding”:
forwarding type – specify where to direct calls: to your mobile phone or to SIP;
direction – dial a phone number with an international code (if a mobile phone number is specified, the service will immediately display the forwarding rate for the specified operator);
By analogy, set up SMS forwarding (specify the type and direction).
4. After entering all the necessary data, read the payment for the service (cost of connecting the number and subscription fee). If the price suits you, click the “Register” button at the bottom of the form.
6. Click the “bird” in the “I have read and agree…” checkbox (to confirm the agreement).
7. Enter the captcha: click the checkbox in the “I am not a robot” block and complete the required task.
8. Click the “Register” button again.
9. Follow the instructions of the service to pay for the ordered number and gain access to your account for use.
Instructions
What does the concept of “Registration of a Tele2 SIM card on the network” actually mean? It's simple - it's the relationship between the chip on the card and the nearest mobile operator tower. If there is no tower nearby (you are out of coverage), then communication will be lost. Your actions during registration will be aimed at ensuring that the SIM card begins to transmit the necessary signal- You may need to register a Tele2 number not only after purchasing it. If you received a duplicate or unblocked your number, these instructions will also be relevant for you.
How to register a Tele2 SIM card on your phone?
- Remove the plastic rectangle from the bag and carefully remove the SIM card from it.
- Install it into the slot on your device. On different models, you also need to install the card differently, so carefully study the instruction picture next to the slot.
- After the SIM card is installed, turn on the phone. The system will ask you for a PIN code. For Tele2 these are four zeros - “0000”. Pin and Puk codes are indicated on the plastic rectangle from which the SIM card was removed. It is worth saving it so that there are no problems with blocking (if the Pak code is entered incorrectly 10 times, the SIM card is blocked forever). In addition, the Pak-code is data for your identification, along with passport data.
- After the PIN code is entered, you need to wait some time for the chip on the card to catch the signal from the nearest tower. If this happens, you will see the scale filled, which is usually located in the upper right corner of the phone screen.
- To finally make sure that you have successfully registered, dial the short number 610 and wait for the answer from the auto-informer, who will notify you that registration has been successfully completed.
What to do if there is no registration in the Tele2 network? You followed all the above steps, but nothing happened. We recommend reading our article about what it means – not registered in the Tele2 network, where we analyze the possible causes of this error.
Why does Samsung write “not registered on the network”?
If your Samsung phone says it is not registered on the network, what to do is not to panic. I helped solve this problem in several ways. If the problem is a breakdown, then the phone can be fixed here too. But the possibility of a breakdown is unlikely. You should check all the points that I have described below. This way you can restore normal operation of your Samsung.
“Surprise” from Tele2
In order to switch to another operator, you must first have up-to-date passport data. And secondly, come to the communication salon, which is very difficult to do while abroad, even without a pandemic. There is only one real solution: chip in for a programmer for Tele2)) Tele2 falsifies the client’s decision
And if you just decided to live abroad, but didn’t bother, then you’re your own evil pinocchio.
Maybe the problem was that the SIM card was not originally purchased in my name, but was later reissued.
There were never any problems at all.
But Tele2, calling the pensioner, offered a new tariff for 100 rubles and despite the refusal, and the message that he did not understand what was being offered to him, that he could hear so poorly and the operator spoke very quickly, informed MTS about the client’s refusal to switch to MTS.
