In the "My MTS" application

The mobile application allows you to quickly remove an unnecessary service from your list of connections. To do this, the smartphone must be connected to the Internet.

To authorize in the program, use the same password and login as when entering your personal account. After this, follow these steps:

  1. On the main page, find the services section.
  2. Find mail in the list of options.
  3. Click on the red button - the slider will move to the left.
  4. Confirm the action on the new page with the “Disable” button.

The service has been deactivated. Confirmation will be sent via SMS. You can download the application on Google Play and AppStore.

In your MTS personal account

To disable it on the MTS website you need to do the following:

  • Log in to your personal account.
  • In the main menu, select “Services”.

  • Find your mail in the list.
  • Click the "Disconnect" button.

  • A new page will open - on it you need to confirm the operation by pressing the button again.

If the basic version is connected, you can quickly find it in the “Free” tab. If you are using the other two versions, open the paid services tab for easy searching.

General provisions

For all modifications, the mutual exclusion rule applies; only one type of option can be used at a time. If you change your mail option, you will need to disable the previous service yourself.

The function does not work on contracts:

  • "MTS Connect";
  • "Online" and its modifications;
  • "MTS iPad";
  • "Business Connect" and its varieties;
  • “Connect. Netbook";
  • Fixed-line tariffs.

After activating the service, mutually exclusive options are automatically (but not always) disabled:

  • "To you ".

It is recommended to disable these functions yourself so as not to pay extra money for their use.

From July 2021, the procedure for providing the service has been changed:

  • A subscriber who cannot be reached will receive a call notification, regardless of whether an audio message is left or not;
  • A subscriber with a “Busy” or “No Answer” status will receive an SMS about a missed call only if an audio notification is left.

Via USSD request

MTS offers 3 versions of voicemail. Basic is a free option that is activated by default on all tariffs. The other two types of mail are paid - they have additional functions and are connected only by the subscriber himself at his request. They have different methods of disabling using short commands:

  • Basic – *111*2919*2#.
  • Extended – *111*90#.
  • Mail Plus – *111*900*2#.

Using this method, it is important to know what type of service is connected to the number.

How does an answering machine work?

After activating the option, the caller periodically hears the following recording instead of beeps: “Welcome to the MTS answering machine,” what does this mean? This means that you are out of network coverage or your cell phone is turned off, and the caller can leave a message via voicemail. You will receive a notification that a message has been received by email and will be able to listen to it in time.

MTS offers customers three options for the “Auto Answer” option:

  1. Basic voicemail. A minimum storage time for audio messages is provided: unlistened recordings are stored for 1 day and listened recordings are stored for 1 day. The recording time is limited to 1 minute. One subscriber can leave only 15 voice recordings. There is no voice mail via e-mail and MMS, and there is also no access to recordings via the web or application. This option is free, but very limited in functionality.
  2. Standard voicemail. This offers expanded capabilities compared to the previous modification: unplayed recordings are stored for 7 days, and listened recordings for 10 days. The duration of the voice SMS can be 1.5 minutes. One subscriber can leave a maximum of 20 messages. The option “Voicemail by e-mail/MMS” and access via the web are present. There is no access through the application. The cost of this modification is 2.3 rubles per day.
  3. Voicemail plus. Allows you to store 10 unplayed recordings and 14 listened recordings. Message duration is 2 minutes. One subscriber can send a maximum of 30 entries. The option “Voicemail by e-mail/MMS”, as well as access through the application and the web, are present. The modification price is 3.3 rubles per day.

Call to operator

To contact technical support, call 0890. This is a toll-free number for all MTS subscribers. Information about connected services can be found through the autoinformer, without waiting for a connection with the operator. Using the voice menu, remove unnecessary options - to do this, follow the robot's instructions and press the corresponding numbers on the phone.

If you contact a specialist, you can ask him to turn off voicemail. But in this case, you will need a passport - the company employee must make sure that he is talking to the owner of the number. To do this, the series and number of the passport are checked against the data in the database.

When to think about disconnecting

Before deleting MTS voicemail, decide how much it is needed. It is also necessary to take into account the tariff plan that is connected at a particular moment. For example, the basic version is free, but limited to 15 messages per subscriber, and the maximum duration is 60 seconds. In this case, there is no need to disable the option, because the function does not “pull” anything from the user’s budget.

The extended version costs 2.4 rubles per day. At the same time, the maximum number of messages has been increased to 20, duration up to 90 seconds. In addition, information is stored for up to 7 or 10 days for unlistened and listened to information, respectively. The plus version will cost even more - 3.5 rubles.

If you do not need the options mentioned above, you can remove MTS voicemail and completely disable its operation. The presence of the function is not necessary in the following situations:

  1. You are always connected and can pick up the phone at any time.
  2. The likelihood of receiving an important call that needs an urgent response is minimal.
  3. There is no desire to overpay for additional options.

If you decide to disable the function, this can be done using any of the methods discussed above. As an alternative, contact the nearest MTS office with your passport and ask the employees to help resolve the issue. They provide detailed advice or work independently. In the latter case, it is necessary to describe the task and hand over the documents.

Canceling MTS voicemail is an issue that can be resolved in one minute.

How to use? A prerequisite for the functionality of the “Voicemail” technological setting to work for an MTS subscriber is that he/she has the “Call Forwarding” setting.

In order to use the “Voicemail” setting, the subscriber needs to add it.

Adding the “Voicemail” setting is possible in the following ways:

  • through the Internet Assistant;
  • by contacting the MTS Communications Salon;
  • by contacting the MTS Contact Center at 0890;
  • by sending the following USSD command: *721#, including in roaming;
  • by setting forwarding to Voicemail number 321321 through the phone menu or using standard commands.

When you add the “Voicemail” setting by sending the command *721#, forwarding is automatically established under the conditions “Unavailable” and “Does not respond within 30 seconds.”

When adding the “Voice Mail” setting in other ways, the subscriber must independently set up forwarding to the Voice Box using the phone menu in the “Forwarding” section to the number 321321, or use the following commands:

**61*321321*10*30# and the call key - a command to set forwarding to the “Voice Box” under the condition “does not answer within 30 seconds”.

Cancel forwarding to a voice box using the command ##002#.

Removing the “Voicemail” setting is possible in the following ways:

  • through the Internet Assistant;
  • by contacting the MTS Communications Salon;
  • by contacting the MTS Contact Center at 0890;
  • by sending the following USSD command: *721*0#, including in roaming.

When a new voice message appears in the mailbox, the system will notify the subscriber about this using a free SMS message.

What is the price? The technological setup “Voicemail” is not charged and is provided free of charge to MTS subscribers.

Listening to voice messages is carried out by calling 0881. A call to number 0881 is not charged, but is not available in the “Partial” and “Forced” and “Device lost” blockings.

The subscriber can also listen to messages in the voice box from a landline phone of the Republic of Belarus at 80297770881 or from a long-distance landline phone or from a mobile phone at +375297770881 and then follow the instructions of the autoinformer.

For a subscriber, user of the “Voice Mail” technological setting, calls forwarded to the Voice Box are not charged.

When subscribers of any networks (MTS, other mobile operators, city networks, etc.) call to the number of an MTS subscriber who has the “Voice Mail” technological setting active and call forwarding to the “Voice Box” is set, the cost of the connection for the subscribers initiating the call is charged , as an outgoing call to the subscriber number of Mobile TeleSystems JLLC.

Features of providing Voicemail The “Voicemail” IVR menu provided by number 0881 allows you to manage services such as “You have been called” or “There is a connection”, namely, find out the status of the service, as well as connect or disable it.

If the subscriber has the “You have been called” service active and forwarding to Voice Box is set, when a voice message lasting less than 3 seconds is recorded in the subscriber’s voice box, an informational SMS message from the “You have been called” service is sent to him from the calling subscriber’s number with the text: “You received a call: 375 ХХ ХХХХХХХ in HH.MM. DD/MM. Please call back!

If an MTS subscriber, a user of the “Voice Mail” setting, is in roaming, call forwarding under the conditions “busy, “unavailable”, or “does not answer” is not performed and the ability to record a message in the “Voice Box” is not provided.

Listening to voice messages while roaming is only possible by calling +375 29 777 0881.
