How to call the MTS operator in different cases - all phone numbers

The mobile operator MTS has tens of millions of subscribers not only in Russia, but also in the CIS, so the company’s specialists tried to simplify as much as possible the process of providing information on questions of interest to users when they contact the support service by phone. As a rule, most of your questions are now answered by a robot, which, in the first seconds of the conversation, offers information about your tariff, balance, and available services. The same is true with quick key typing, where each number corresponds to a separate section or subsection.

But what if you need to reach a “live” operator? After all, robots often cannot solve the issues that arise and a dialogue with a live specialist is needed who would understand the essence of the problem and tell us how to solve it. If you are faced with such a problem and cannot contact a living person in any way, we offer all possible methods, which are described below.

Call from an MTS number to an operator

It is assumed that you have an MTS SIM card, with which the call will be made. You need to call 0890, which, as a rule, is known to many network subscribers. But in addition to it, there are two more short and unfamiliar numbers, namely 08460 and 0605. The operator’s website contains information that 0605 is intended only for VIP clients, however, as practice has shown, they answer everyone!

So, here's what you need to do:

  1. Dial any of the numbers listed: 0890, 0605 or 08460;
  2. Wait until the system tells you about all the company’s news and offers and as soon as the robot prompts you to enter keys in the voice menu, press 2 and then 0;
  3. Ignore messages about quality of service. Just press 1 or 0;
  4. At this stage, the robot will inform you that a specialist will respond within a few minutes. All you have to do is wait the specified time and tell us about your problem.

How to call an MTS operator from a mobile phone while roaming

The 24-hour support service is free for all company subscribers or for a fee for calls from landline and mobile numbers of other operators:

  • Dial the number using the phone keypad +7-495-766-01-66;
  • You can listen to the voice menu to the end and wait for the automatic connection with a consultant;
  • A connection to a free consultant may occur after some time of waiting on the line if all employees are busy.

Call the MTS hotline from any numbers

If you need to urgently solve a problem, you can use the MTS hotline, which is available via a federal toll-free number. The only drawback is that you can only get through from other operators, for example, Tele2, Beeline, Megafon. If you make a call from MTS, you will be notified that this number is not in service.

Follow these steps:

  1. Call the indicated number 8-800-250-0890 (it is completely free). You can call from both mobile and landline. The main thing is that it is not MTS, otherwise you won’t get through;
  2. Ignore messages about quality of service. Just press 1 or 0;
  3. At this stage, the robot will tell you how long you will need to wait for a specialist’s response. Wait for the specified time and tell about your problem.

MTS help center numbers

The unified reference number for MTS clients is 0890. This phone is valid only for MTS clients, that is, you need to call it from an MTS SIM card. In this case the call will be free. Having called the specified short number, you will be taken to a voice menu in which the answering machine will first announce your balance and the name of the tariff plan installed on the SIM card from which you are calling, and then the answering machine will prompt you to select the appropriate category by clicking on the appropriate number. In this way, you can solve your problem yourself, without switching to a specialist.

If you want to call MTS customer support not from a SIM card of this operator, but, for example, from a landline phone or the number of another operator, then you should dial the phone number: 8. When calling this number from an MTS SIM card, the call will also be free, and when calling from a landline phone or from a SIM card of another operator, the call will be paid in accordance with the price conditions of your tariff plan.

There is another number that can be very useful if you are abroad and urgently need to solve a problem. Please note that if you are abroad, then this number must be dialed starting with the number “+7” instead of the number “8”, otherwise the call will not be able to be made. This call will also be charged according to the international calling rates on your call plan.

If you are a corporate client, then there is a separate line for you. Calling this phone number is free for MTS corporate clients.

Attention! In the MTS-Belarus network, to contact the operator you need to call 0890. Calls from MTS SIM cards are free.

Call the MTS operator in Crimea

Despite the fact that Crimea is now a subject of the Russian Federation, many subscribers still do not understand which number to call to get to an MTS specialist. In fact, all the same rules apply here as for Russia. You can dial the short number 0890, 0605 or 08460. You can also use the federal telephone number 8-800-250-0890.

But, if you come to Crimea, but at the same time you have a Ukrainian SIM card, then you will need to call +38-050-508-1111 or the short number 111, since you are abroad. Just keep in mind that calls to these numbers are paid!

How to call a live operator

When trying to reach a “live” Call Center specialist, some difficulties arise: when dialing, you will first be taken to the voice menu, where the auto-informer will try in every possible way to solve your problem without switching to a specialist. But it’s not always possible to figure it out on your own, especially if the problem is non-standard. The answering machine will lastly ask you to click on the desired number to talk to a “live” operator.

So, let’s look in detail at which number to call and how to quickly switch to the MTS operator:

  1. Dial 0890 and wait for the answer from the answering machine. Listen to information about your balance and the name of your tariff, then the auto-informer will ask you to select the appropriate category. Select any category by clicking, for example, on the number “1”. Next, the autoinformer will list new subcategories and ask you to click on the number “0” to contact an employee, complete this action. You may need to press “0” again after the next audio recording, after which your conversation will be transferred to a specialist. Thus, in order to contact the MTS operator, in tone mode you need to dial the following combination: “1” - “0” - “0”. Please remember that all conversations are recorded.
  2. If you call from a phone with a SIM card of another operator or from a local device to 8 800 250 08 90, then after dialing you will also be greeted by an answering machine that will ask you to select the appropriate category. The answering machine warns that you can contact the operator only after selecting the appropriate category. Therefore, click on any number, for example, “1”, and then click on the number “0”. You may need to press the number “0” again.

Additional ways to communicate with MTS operators

If you need to solve a problem, but you can’t contact a specialist, for example, you are out of coverage area or MTS employees take a very long time to respond due to workload (very often happens on holidays), you can use other communication methods. After all, your main goal is to resolve the problem, clarify the information, so it doesn’t matter in what form it will be provided.

We have prepared for you several alternative ways to contact MTS specialists:

Online chat on the site

You just need to go to the official website mts.ru and click on the chat icon in the lower right corner. The system will prompt you to log in to your personal account to identify your number.

Enter this information, log in and click on the chat icon again. Select here the option of dialogue with a living person and explain the essence of your problem;

    Communication through the VK group

    You need to go to the official VKontakte page of the mobile operator - https://vk.com/mts, be sure to be logged in to your account and click on the “Write a message” tab.

    The bot will answer, however, if you need to communicate with a real person, just write him “operator”. If you don't succeed the first time, write again. Within 30 minutes, the first available specialist will answer you and help solve any problems.

    As you can see, there are a lot of options for communicating with MTS specialists, so choose the one that suits you best. However, keep in mind that all conversations are recorded, so do not be rude and express your “fie”, even if you had to wait a long time for an answer!
